You'd have to call them because their website is seriously lacking accuracy..... But I'm sure they offer one for your year.

EPA orders VW recall on Not So Clean Diesels
I absolutely like Trump. What he's standing for and the absolute chaos he's creating in Washington is a revolution I thought I'd never experience. Watching the entitled whiners cry and protest, the unrest elitist squirm, the establishment panic as the gravy train slows, and the Hollywood clowns.....well, act like clowns. Just the simple fact that they're upset is all the more reason for me to like Trump more and more. But all that said, I never voted for Trump because I believed he would "save" America. GOD was very clear in the Bible in saying that we dont need Kings or rulers. All we need is Him, but if we insist on a ruler then we'd get what we deserve. What I'm hoping for is Trump to eliminate policies and laws which prevent the people from saving themselves.....with the help of GOD of course.

Thats because socialism isnt something you can "shove" on a society. Rather it has to be dished out in such a manner whereby society believes that its for their best interest and/or quietly done behind the scenes otherwise society will revolt and have nothing to do with those very policies which are taking their freedom and prosperity. That said, liberalism is nothing but entry level socialism, and for Obamacare and all other crappy liberal EPA type actions and taxes to get implemented it has to be pushed upon us using scare tactics and straight up bull crap lies otherwise people would vote against it. That takes time.....and something done over a generation, not a couple years. Take highway taxes, school taxes, social service taxes (fire/police).....etc. How many times have we gone to the polls to vote on such social tax increases because the proposed bill promises our roadways will be better and our schools will be grander and we'll be safer with better police protection and fire crews. But.....yet those tax monies rarely ever make it to their promised destination. Although every election cycle we're seemingly voting in more and more of the same ol' taxes totally overlooking the fact that we're already dishing out massive amounts of our hard earned money for those same taxes we voted in last election cycle. I've learned as I grow older that the biggest problem with humanity is we have a problem with short term memory loss. And since schools are no longer teaching accurate history.....it seems were doomed to repeat.

Sport headlights installed
Mike.....you may have enlightened (no pun) me. My truck is a Sport and the headlights are constantly trying to yellow. I've cleaned them and waxed them numerous times but they just wont stop. Strange too is the side marker light housings are crystal clear. Maybe they should have made the headlights out of the same plastic. Anyways, I've threatened to replace them someday but OEM lights are $700+. No thank you..... And I've read too many threads where people say that the aftermarket lights are cool looking but the beam spread is horrible. I certainly dont care to replace fantastic OEM lights with aftermarket garbage. After reading your thread, if I understand correctly, your lighting problem is because your non-Sport light system doesnt turn on all four bulbs at once. Right? And to make matters worse about aftermarket lights.....I've heard of aftermarket lights leaking too. So in point, I'm leery.....but would like my head lights to look brand new again. Please keep the forum up to date on how these work for you because $200 would be worth it if they were exactly like OEM.

Teach me how to drive up hill or get more power
Yes, the simplicity of the EZ is hard to beat. I'd have a Quad if I had time to mess around with fine tuning my trucks performance/fuel mileage. But.....then I'd have one more thing to consume my time.

installing solar on the RV
Most of the time we dont have hookups. Generator and ample battery bank is sufficient for a good few days of get away. Solar would just reduce the generator usage..... Actually I prefer to camp where others arent.....but thats getting more and more difficult these days as camping in general is becoming quite the popular activity for people. But hey.....I dont know about you guys, but no sleeping on the ground for us anymore. That was fun back in the day but now its too cold and the ground is too hard for these aging bodies.

Hey.....I have a big trailer. Not sure really why we call it camping.

Old Timers
I remember the first diesel forum I joined was back in 2002. It was actually hard to be on the internet back then too due to dial up kicking me off the web. And there was a period of time where my membership fell off because I hadn't signed in for so long. Back when I worked harder and had far less free time..... I cant remember when I joined Mopar1973man either but I have to say that this is probably one of the most polite forums I've ever been on. Members here are just genuinely kind to one another.

installing solar on the RV
As painful as their forum is, poke around rv.net and you'll get some good info on RV solar options. Just ignore all the old buttheads who seemingly cant to be kind to anyone..... I've been considering getting some portable solar panels for my 5th wheel too but I understand that 200w is bare minimum to offset any decent amount of energy usage during the night. Portable because I dont want anything permanently mounted to the trailer otherwise I'd then have to park in the direct sun which isnt what I want. Two 6 volts is by far the best battery for RVing too and will work much better than two 12 volts. If you have the room for four 6 volts then thats even better. And quality is important too. Harbor Freight can offer some great opportunities for cheap tools, but we all know everything they sell Chinese crap and probably not the best place for solar products. Maybe.....but I doubt it. Do let me know what you come up with though.

Exhaust
A muffler is supposed to muffle the sound by absorbing it within some type of material. A resonator is supposed redirect the sound waves back into themselves at the same rate their being generated in attempt to cancel them out. In saying that there are mufflers which look like resonators and resonators which look like mufflers.....

Oops..... Didnt see that.

Exhaust
I think ALL engines have very distinct sound characteristics..... The 12 valve is the most "semi" sounding. The VP 24 valve is very therapeutic, but clacks something fierce. The CR engines can be somewhat rappy sounding with an aftermarket exhaust. All the Powerstrokes sound like different versions of aluminum cans full of rocks. On the throttle they have the fluttering sound of a blown cylinder too. The Duramax sounds like a gasoline engine converted to diesel.

Noticed you left out the fuel pump, so add another $400+ on there.

Shirts?
Please understand I meant none of that as an insult or to critique you..... If I had a solution to help then I'd be more than happy to offer it, but I just dont want to see you loose more money. Forums are seemingly cyclical in popularity. I remember back when TDR was the biggest forum out there, but today it seems to be lacking much of any participation. You would even receive some TDR gifts/magazines from time to time as a member. I cant imagine how expensive that was to support. Then there's other diesel forums who hardly have any threads/posts at all..... Cant say why this is the case either other than its hard to pay attention to more than a couple of forums at a time, and there's some forums who have helpful members where others can be royal pricks...seemingly defending their turf. I aint got no time for those places.

Shirts?
If you want my most honest opinion Mike..... Dont do it. You'll spend money you'll never recoup. The percentage of people who will ever want a shirt or sticker are just as you're seeing respond. Thats not to say I wouldnt want one hanging in my closet either but in reality thats all it would do as I've got enough crap already in my closet. Shirts, hoodies, hats, and stuff I never wear simply because I'm working and I've outgrown the "I'll wear whatever I want" stage in life keeping me from grabbing the "I'd rather be Cummins than Stroking" shirt. I care about my wifes public dignity..... When I see adult(ish) people wearing goofy shirts like this with all kinds of branding and symbols on them and the first thing I think about is, I need to get out of this stupid town..... Same goes for stickers. A gigantic "C" on my window isnt going to make me any more proud and the pissing on something fellow is just overdone by everyone making their statement. So with that said, I like you and I like your site and I like my truck.....a lot, but my advise is dont dump any more money into this. Worry about Moparmom and spend your life spending your money on her.

Teach me how to drive up hill or get more power
I think you've gotten some really good responses so far..... The only thing you can do without upgrading anything is to simply make sure the torque converter is locked before the pull AND remains locked throughout the entire pull. If this is not happening then the heat generated with quickly push the fluid temperatures into dangerous levels. So going slow is perfectly fine as long as you're getting there..... If you want to spend some money then the least you can do to the tranny is a new valve body and lower stall torque converter. Other than that, you kinda have to spend some capital and look for a built one. That said, about $5000 will get you a transmission you'll never have to talk about again. As for power, yes there are easy and reasonably cheap ways to keep up with everyone passing you on the highway. I only have an EZ and RV275's but can tow my 14k 5th wheel up hills at legal speeds. Well until someone gets in my way and force me to need 3rd gear.....

Time for a new clutch.
I have the Southbend SB13125-OK-HD. Single organic disc, new flywheel, good to about 450 hp. I installed the SB hydraulics as well and the clutch pedal is almost as light as the stock clutch was. Yes the aftermarket hydraulics are not necessary but they are also built intent to apply more pressure on the clutch fork with less pressure exerted by your foot, so Its totally up to you whether thats important. I gave my clutch the recommended 500 miles of around town driving before I hooked up to my trailer.

Exhaust
I agree but I think you left out the part about heat and density, which may contribute to why the change in EGT isnt as significant as some may think it should be when installing a larger exhaust system. Meaning yes, the force required to drive the impeller is not only created by the pressure drop across the turbine but also allowed by the density change as well. We all know a "cold" turbo doesn't work very well..... So in saying that, I understood that the overall EGT reduction when using aftermarket exhaust is not limited to turbo restriction nearly as much as its related to the amount of fueling based on the amount of drive pressure from the heat and cylinder pressure mechanically moving the impeller through the energy generated. Thus the comments typically seen when installing an exhaust system is, "the turbo spools faster" or "the EGT's are about 100* cooler". Meaning, physics wont allow for the temperature to be any "colder" per say unless the amount of fueling is reduced as well. The reduction in EGT is merely based on the relevant increase by allowing those hot gases out of the bottleneck. And if this is a discussion about "pondering" then I guess its also important to point out the speculation used in understanding how much more heat is being created by the increase in efficiency from the larger more free flowing exhaust as those very gases are allowed to expand and change temperature more rapidly than they were before.....but yet in turn create a more efficiently pressurized cylinder. Turbos kinda hint a bit of the "chicken or the egg" riddle as there is no direct mechanical force to measure from. We always hear/say that turbos are "free" power.....but are they really?

Exhaust
I cant measure in exact numbers how much it helped because it wasnt anything specific, but rather better over all. The EGT's were very quick to jump up and easy to reach 1100*-1200*, but with the 4" I can be harder on the throttle without worrying about getting things as hot. And in saying that, the hotter the EGT's are, the hotter the engine temperature will become on long uphill pulls. Now again, its important to understand that I NEVER had a problem with EGT's (or that I thought) before towing my current 5th wheel. But because this pup is so large the EGT's require more of a watchful eye. Point being is, I'm not advocating everyone "needs" to toss out their stock exhaust but rather that if you tend to tow heavy a lot, and/or in mountainous hotter terrain, then likely the stock exhaust is, or could be, your limiting factor. As for increasing noise levels, well thats a topic all in itself. I dont mind the sound of my exhaust. Actually I believe the engine noise to be the loudest component in the cab while towing, not the exhaust. But I do understand that people who install large mufflers like the Donaldson, or nice FTE resonators, have nice low tone exhaust sound with aftermarket 4" or larger systems.

Exhaust
Anyone who has enough mechanical smarts putting together a 500 hp diesel should also understand how the exhaust works on a forced induction engine. So he's either lying about the trucks true power.....or he bought it that way and has not a clue about anything related. As for stock 3" exhaust, yes its plenty free flowing as long as the muffler is removed.....even though its not really 3" but more like 2.5" in the pinch bends. But that said, I ran a straight piped 3" for years towing many trailers. Although when we bought our 14k 5th wheel I found myself working at keeping EGT's in check while towing in the mountains during summer weather. So I installed a straight piped 4" exhaust and the difference in EGT's was obvious and well worth the $300 purchase. Lastly, adding a 4" exhaust generally wont add any hp worth mentioning, but coincidentally the first tow after installing the new exhaust resulted in slight clutch slippage. So apparently the small amount of power I gained from added flow was just enough to push the limits of the stock clutch while towing my trailer. I thought it worth pointing that out.

Exhaust
The difference between my straight piped 2n gen stock 3" and the straight piped aftermarket 4" was the stock exhaust was not nearly as mellow sounding as the 4". As for overall noise wise.....I'd probably say they're the same. I'm not a big fan of the straight piped CR engines because they can get really rappy sounding.
