  1. http://www.puredieselpower.com/catalog/9402-cummins-cooling-kitimproves-coolant-flow-cylinder-p-1374.html This one is a factory cummins unit. http://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/p-5290-wicked-diesel-coolant-bypass-985-07-59l-dodge-cummins.aspx I dont know much about this one,you would have to research it. I have opies kit.
  2. I figured Mike ment he had to pull his dash out again.Thats what i have to do in spring.
  3. I get raybestos they have a lifetime warranty. When mine are finished off i bring the receipt in along with the spent pads and get free ones.I dont know if they still do that or not.Check parts plus store.
  4. dually replied to gassernomore's topic in Ford
This may sound stupid but did the truck get hit? If it was hit the computer can turn the fuel off and you have to hit the reset switch.Ifrc my 92 and 95 ford had that set-up.I dont know how hard they have to be hit for this to happen.
  5. You know, if you can you post up a total step by step that would help me out. This spring i have to do it.
  6. From what i know some never crack and leak coolant, even people who have 500 hp and beat on them.It is from thin casting. If it bothers you there companys that make a coolant bypass, the system acts as a pressure relief for the coolant. This may help maybe not but it is worth checking into.imho
  7. did you clear the codes after you changed parts?
  8. I hope they do more than just check for cracks.A pressure test is also good to have. The mag test is around 100.00 give or take. go down to 13/25 http://www.arcraftplasma.com/physical.htm
  9. Is the class over? Hp/torque comparison per cubic inch.Potential energy in a gal of diesel vs gas.Dont forget we can make fuel in our garage for 50 some cents a gal.(used veg oil)
  10. The only thing about the rain it helps wash the salt away.
  11. To much fuel pressure to the vp is like punching your brother. It doesn't seem like it hurts.Over 20lbs at idle is on the fine line of hurting the vp.Hard starts will happen with 22 to 25 psi with a vp.
  12. Thank you for correcting me.Yes it is the return side that will not make it lose prime.
  13. Maybe air is getting in and your prime is gone,Go over everything you did.Check all the fittings on the air dog, fuel tank, injection pump, and injectors.Check the fitting on back of the head and the T fitting.
  14. We have 2 vss.The one in the tranny i think has something to with shifting but i could be wrong again.
  15. Could you just get 2.73 gears in the rear diff ? That would bring down the rpm at 70.
  16. I have the skyjacker d251k.I didnt use the add a leaf in the rear. The guy i bought this truck from had a camper in the bed so that was allready in.
  17. Thats good news. You went through the ringer, i am glad it's over.
  18. My 200 over injectors haze at just about any speed. At 50 mph it is like a bread crumb trail,I can turn around and find my way back:lmao2:.Still get 16 mpg with them.Last year i took them out.I like the mpg of my 40 over better. They only puff smoke when i shift, and just a deep haze if i hammer on it.
  19. Yellow spark turned blue with new dist and coil. Thanks guys.
  20. We are in the lean years.98.5 to 02.Our truck years are brushed under the carpet. The vp turned out to be a joke, cummins moved on with the 3rd gen fuel system. Some day (maybe with guys like DieselD24) someone will throw us a bone.
  21. Good job.The diesel world needs you.The vp project is a nice intro. If you could tear into a ecm and figure out the tm you could sell a bunch. It seems smarty can only remove 70% of it.The rad box removes it all but it also hinders gauges that are needed to race.
  22. The spark is more yellow than blue.I tryed fresh plugs.I will try the list Mike posted sunday afternoon and report back.Thank you all for the input.
  23. I am sorry i was unclear.I ment the ecm had to be vin matched with the pcm.
  24. Did you get it to run?
