what did i break?
i'm replacing the "wave spring" i was hoping the missing pieces would turn up in the housing or in the pan but they are not. the clip the dealer promised me it was, was in fact not the correct one. so it's on order from cascade transmissions. 6.88 and a 2.$ gasket. all this for 10$ in parts. it's not as hard as i had thought it would be. the rear two piece driveline was HEAVY like OMG how is this that heavy.? the t-case is easy to unbolt and kinda on the heavy side. still not hard by any means though. then there was the OD housing... took bolts out. pulled some,. read the FSM, pulled some more. couldn't for the life of me get it off. thought maybe there was a c-clip i missed. or something.. Then my 10 year old goes dad can i try. sure as heck he pulls it right off. anyhow. it's not hard, but turning wrenches isn't fer everyone. i'm now replacing all the seals and snap rights i can find. might as well do the U-joints in the drivelines as well. they are all stock and still good with 210K miles. but while i'm there.. why not.

there isn't enough ring here with my pieces to make a whole one. so i hope to find the missing ones someday. maybe ina few weeks i'll drop the pan and check for them again.

Log Home oil treatments
to help with them darkening, pressure wash your house every 6 mo. helps keep the dirt form grinding it's way in. don't get to close with the tip as to not fuzz the wood. i did one log home in Washington. i think i had rain delay more then work getting done. the boiled linseed oil and turp mix is ok. for wood that isn't exposed to lots of sun or weather. like a coffee table or inside wood work, not windows seals though, and no UV protection so after a few years it'll turn black or very dark. as for the closed cell foam between logs. look into permachinks energy seal when you start to get big checks or cracks in the wood., http://www.permachink.com/log-sealants/energy-seal not a fan of Messmers oil stain, but the timberflex is great stuff.. http://www.messmers.com/messmers-timberflex

Log Home oil treatments
JAG1 i'm a professional painter, i specialize in log home's. This is however here in Arizona. i've seen the effects of the 50/50 mix, it does look good for a while but i'm not sure it's providing any real UV protection. Messmers Timberflex makes a great log home oil finish. i mix a gallon of thinner to a 5 of their finish, it's will tend to build up in the none weathered areas of the house. like under the eaves, or the bottom side of the logs. Superdeck/DucksBack also has a decent log oil finish as well. it hold up about the best with no real build up of a finish per say. are the logs fuzzy? are the top halfs darker and look like a good media blasting or sanding is needed to bring back the classic log home look.? Permachink is a water based breathable finish that really holds up here in AZ. (northern arizona) they have stains and then a clear that goes on top. remember anytime you add oil to old weathered wood it's going to darken it. Does your house have chinking? or is it the loghome siding? Make sure you do NOT use bleach to try and clean and brighten your log home. the bleach makes things worse. get a good wood brightener, from Flood or Permachink. If you have any questions just ask.,

the 40 is the compromise between the 357/45's to the 9mm's with the 9's you have lots of rounds. but no real stopping power, the 45's were shied away from because they were going through to many walls and the collateral damage was to high and at the time only 7 rounds. then came the 10mm then the 40. the 40 has great kinetic energy, can still punch through car doors and stop someone. of all the LEO's in the family they all carry glock 40's and smith 357 hammerless as a backup. owning the tool will be of no use if your not well versed in using it. that's why LEO's shoot so much. make sure your hand to hand skills are adequate as well.

Agree*^^ I think they should have tazers. Learn to defuse the situation not escalate it. They are on a power trip.

At 25' I can close the distance before most can pull and shoot. They teach 22' is critical defense distance. Inside that it's best to retreat. As for a good ccw Get one that works for you. You might buy and sell several before finding the right one for you.

i must have 2-3000 rounds down range with my XD, not a hiccup yet. all those will do what they are designed to do. find a range that rents them and shoot 20+ per gun. then a better desicion you can make. the XD felt great in my hand. it wasn't till after i shot it 30-40 rounds that i noticed the finger issue. all the pistols do the same thing to my finger, except my good ol kimber 45. yes my XD is a 40. this is mine. http://www.springfield-armory.com/products/xdm-compact-40-cal/ i use the extended mag as well. This is what my wife carries. http://www.springfield-armory.com/products/xd-sub-compact-40-cal/ she keeps it the normal mag. here in AZ you don't need a permit to carry concealed.

How Much?
almost 3 here, we only heat with wood as well, and we even cook on it. i sure can't afford the electric bill if i plugged in a heater. we have a forced air furnace, but i'm not sure it works. i've never plugged it in.

How big are your hands? i have most of the ones listed excluding the 43. (not a fan of glocks) and i also have large hands. i carry the Xd 100% of the time. but it's also my least favorite to shoot. my hands are big and i find it ***** my trigger finger down in a way that for more then a 15-20 rounds starts to hurt. the most comfortable pistol i've shot was a Taurus Millennium pro. 40. excellent tool. For CC the LC9 would be my choice. it small and very easy to make disappear. i used to use the sticky holsters and some other inside belt ones. i carry my xds40 everywhere. the 40's hit HARD and have lots of them. the LC9 is a great gun but not many rounds. not a fan of S&W. Sig is a great choice i just partial to my XD and LC9. my XD is on my hip. the LC9 is usually ankle. i use critical defense rounds and practice a lot. and i mean like 100+ rounds a week. just having it does you no good if you can't use it with proficiency.

swepco oils
I'm more interested in the 306 engine oil and the 212 gear lube. But if no one has used them, going off a 96 year old mans word might be enough, he has 40 gal of the 306, and a gal of 212. I can get on the cheep from him. Thanks again.

Lets see what you are cooking!
Green chili, Arizona style. Pork roast, or sholder or beef, elk, deer, what ever really. Pork Shoulder 2 big cans of whole green chilies 1 small can of diced green chilies Half of an onion chopped 2 – 4 garlic cloves diced Jalapenos ( I use the ones in a glass jar.) Water Salt and pepper Cornstarch In slow cooker, place pork shoulder, whole green chilies, diced green chilies, chopped up onion, garlic, a couple of spoons of jalapeños (to taste), salt and pepper to taste. Poor a little bit of water in just to keep it from drying out. Set crock pot on 10 hour setting. When done cooking shred pork with fork while still in crock pot, add cornstarch until desired consistency.

NGK spark plugs for ATV...
is the winch wire rope or synthetic? i switched mine to synthetic, hasn't froze sense. as for the carb and plug issues. will it idle? is sounds like your running rich, maybe check the air filter, set the screws on the carb to factory, usually about 1 3/4 turns out from full seat. it also sounds like the choke might be on.

Why is my right tire wearing on the outside?
When my 02 was doing this it ended up being the control arm bushings, the right side would rock back just a little and caused same issue, I replaced them with eBay control arms and all was better.
-
Why is my right tire wearing on the outside?
i was told wear on the outside was toe out. because the caster... it's that way on our race cars... inside was toe in and outside wear was toe out.

Travel Trailer Help
arctic fox are the best you can buy from every RV dealer i've ever talked to. told them i was also looking at AF and they said they didnt have models to compete with them. but they are HEAVY.

Travel Trailer Help
arctic fox and or desert fox are the best for cold climates. they won't freeze pipes. they have "park" models they are not designed for off grid living, as you shouldn't need batteries. water pump. etc. the holding tanks are even none existent. i hardly ever used my built in furnace. i use the big buddy heater. works AWESOME and uses about 1/4 or less propane. get the one with the full hight cabinets. and the largest fridge you can find. mine even has an ice maker in it. those will help with resale as well.
