  1. Deep cleaning? Did they use an ultrasonic on you? I get root planing 2-3 times a year. I spend 1-2 grand a year on my mouth to keep my teeth. Only two root canals. I was homeless at age 14. Didn't have much in the way of a good mentor back then. By the time I educated myself it was almost to late.
  2. there is something to be said for alcoholics, my mom passed away form this at 50 but not a cavity one. i never in my life saw her brush her teeth. my dad as well still kicken at 69 all his original teeth no issues. i think it's the Jack Daniels killin everything in there. My dentist told me only floss the teeth you want to keep.
  3. i have had this for YEARS! my pockets are 9-15, root plaining was my only option. helped some. now i brush and rinse with mouthwash 3 times a day. might just yank them all out n go with implants. your mouth is WAY to important to not take care of. i've been fighting this for the better part of 15 years. i've always had good brushing and flossing habits. cleanings twice a year. mine is genetic. (thanks dad) you being the early stages. i think you'll be able to control yours fine.
  4. i'd pop test the injectors, and then boar scope the cylinder if you can. i'd bet if you keep driving it this way your gonna hurt it more.
  5. i know the 3rd gens don't have the 3 cylinder, but i also see another difference. mine will auto high idle even at operating temp if outside temp is below 32. i drove to work today was 12 deg my coolant temp was 188, intake was 63, sitting there talking to coworkers mine idled up... i can always use the cruse control to idle it up as well.
  6. 3 cylinder is at like 13 deg i think. it's there if the normal 6 cylinder works then the 3 cylinder one will also. here it is on my truck ,mine wasn't running right and well. it failed the first time then about 5 minutes later 3 cyl worked as it should have. http://youtu.be/ZkEroUvtLtA?list=UUVuwlr23wPbroviN_JfUDhQ edit for hitting wrong keys. now that's it's enabled you can buy the switch or make your own. nothing else need me enabled. the normal idle up happens at or below 32 deg. and i think 3 cylinder is 13. but i'm not 100% on that. it's close to that though. as long as intake air temp is below 32 and you haven't moved the truck after a min or so it'll start to idle up again. Mike has/had a video somehwere how it works. i'm unable to find it right now though.
  7. these ones? http://www.genosgarage.com/MOPAR-REAR-SPLASH-GUARDS-94-02-2500-PLASTIC/productinfo/SG-DG-82205854R/
  8. so your saying the 12V ones wont work? i want to be able to keep it warm while driving down the road.?
  9. i';m thinking either http://organicmechanic.com/electric-fuel-heater/ or maybe http://www.utahbiodieselsupply.com/fuelfilterheater.php i'm also thinking of building a bypass for my 2 mic filter. so i can take it out of the loop and just rely on the stock one for winter.
  10. Oldford, I didn't say that to call you out, sorry if it came across that way. Companies change formulas all the time. I thought for the longest time they were alcohol based as well. Now we both know.
  11. according to Power service site they have no alcohol... http://powerservice.com/psp_product/diesel-fuel-supplement-cetane-boost/
  12. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/pts/4756401686.html mine is stock. i'm tempted for the exhaust brake alone. how hard would it be to make this all work on my 04?
  13. I love the wealth of information this group of people provide. Thank you.
  14. Thanks mike.
  15. Thank you, I understand now. I always use 2 stoke oil. I plan on getting some 55 gal drums for mixing. Mike posted a pic that shows xylene, is that barrel strate xylene? I have and use that solvent all the time being a painter. Just wondering, if I could use that...
  16. thank you for the information. i live in Flagstaff Az. 7000 ft elevation. yes it snows and get darn right cold in parts of Arizona. we usually have a week or two with day time highs of 0-10. i would like to be prepared. again thanks again.
  17. i wasnt asking about lubricity, more the anti-gelling. i'ma try n get a 55 drum of #1 for the tractor to keep on hand on the cold weeks.
  18. So i get fuel at SamsClub. They have the highest turn over of tanks in town. They get 4 trucks a day. I asked the driver about when they will switch to the winter blend of fuel. He told me they do not have one. That they don't add anything. I can't seem to find this info on the other fuel stations her in town. Maverick, or Conoco are the only other places i'd fill up as they have a kinda high turn over of tanks. I could drive 12 miles out of town to a Pilot truck stop, but still I cant seem to find info on when/if they switch over to a winter blend. does anyone know of a database of stations that sell Bio. any information anyone can provide would be great. Thanks.
  19. can't say i fallow the thought, "how many times" how many times have i voted in total or today?
  20. true. i just got home from voting.
  21. Those who vote determine nothing, those who count the votes do.
  22. well pending on wind, i've been about 30 feet from them before smelling them and yet at canyon walls over 300 feet and still smell them. they will emit an oder (as most mammals do) when scared or startled. the old saying dogs can smell the fear on you. generally though bears will run away unless you encounter a sow with cubs, then she's well... Moma bear, they can be down right mean. you an look for sign of bear at the water hole. took these two weeks ago huntin white tail.
  23. a thought on these FASS and Airdog pumps. do they draw power form the PCM directly or does one run that wire to a solenoid that then gives the pump power? as per the OP problems. i would check grounds. bad ground bad electrical system.
  24. I know bear stink. the little (3-500 lbs) black bear here in AZ can get rather pungent. Elk also stink. when in the RUT the Bulls have a strong musky kinda smell. i'd put money on Bear or Elk. ifn you have both in the area. when i smell that i know i'm close and usually knock an arrow. or chamber a round.
  25. here in Flagstaff az RUG 2.91 and today i filled up diesel 3.20 yeah all my cans and tanks are full. even if it drops more.. i'm happy for a few weeks.
