  1. You could actually torque the connector tube nuts to 37ft/lbs. If they are not tight, they will cause rail pressure to get past the tube and go to the return.
  2. They wont hurt anything, I will just have hard starts espcially when it gets cold. Not the hardest, but there is a lot of things to know when you are doing them. Mainly torque values, tips, and tricks. I have done hundreds of them so I have figured all them out with trial and error. Make sure you get bosch remans or if you can afford them, bbi injectors. Do not get reman bosch or anything that is under 340 an injector. They are cheap rebuilds and you will end up paying for them. If you need help finding injectors, let me know.
  3. When I would get vacuum in the tank it would only hard start after sitting for say 20-30 mins or more. When it would finally start it would dump white smoke. I highly doubt an injector (because they are rare to go out) if leaving the cap loose doesnt fix or help it, I would suspect vp. I have seen multiple pickups with hard starts because of vacuum in the last year. For some reason switching the lift pumps to the wiper fuses fixed the hard starts. Dont know if the pump running all the time overcomes the vacuum or what it does.
  4. Raptors use their own relay triggered by the ecm through the stock lift pump plug
  5. I should of said when he is testing for power is he using the ground at the plug or a body ground. Just to verify the raptor ground is good
  6. You have too much injector return
  7. Epa can only see the trees. Not the whole forrest
  8. Are you using the ground on the raptor plug or a body ground
  9. Ya, anything that will drain will shorten time. Even the door being open will drain the capacitors
  10. I got to play with one of those jeeps pre production at the training center in kansas city. Pretty cool little rigs. Know of a guy that used his to haul hay bales on a trailer with it. Took a couoke transmission out before we could get it through his head that you couldnt use it like a 3/4 ton
  11. Actually if you are fast enough there is capacitors that will keep memorys. I actually had my 06 battery disconnected for a week and all my presets were still in the radio. Apps calibration is super simple
  12. You should have no voltage on signal wire with tps unplugged. If you have 5 volts, it is either grounded to the tps power wire or some other short to sensor voltage (5v). I would ohm between the signal and power wire at the tps connector while unplugged.
  13. Its possible, but its a pain to line back up with manual trans. Its just easier to pull the trans than to fight dropping in the engine and getting the input splines lined up.
  14. This was on my 01. It was an omaha pickup so the rockers, cab corner, and rear fenders were rusted and had holes from all the salt Shouldnt have to worry about it on my 06 since they dont use salt out here. But I might line the rockers for chips. Buddy dif it on his 01 and it looks awesome
  15. I was going to use a body foam for my rust holes and the spray the rockers with bed liner. Should keep water and air away from the metal which means no rust
  16. I put a boost elbow on my 02 6-speed and it surprised me on how much that little part woke my pickup up
  17. Just because its low on pressure doesnt mean its also low on flow
  18. 99% of the time its injectors. Most likely bleeding rail pressure back to the return. Fca very rarely go bad. Also I have never seen a cp3 bad. Injector return test might be needed
  19. Drb3 is the only other way that I know of. Why are you wanting to watch command?
  20. 3rd gens need flow not pressure. If I ever do a pump on mine, I will do a fuelab. They are expensive, but reliable
  21. Efi live. Scan gauge doesnt show requested
  22. Yep about half the fields are in windrows right now
