  1. Tie rod ends werent the recall. Where the steering shock mounted to the tie rod was the recall And dont confuse a recall with a tsb. A tsb is just help with common fixes
  2. What are you getting down the signal wire?
  3. There should be a metal clip to hold the fork on the pivot ball
  4. I was just backing up your post. Most people have this mindset that 3,000 miles oil needs changed.
  5. You can easily run 7500 miles on any cummins engine. I read where a guy was running dino oil in his 6.7 and changing filters at a certain mileage and was still getting good samples at 20,000. I am going to start sampling on my new megacab and see how far I can go
  6. Megacab is a 6' box. Its a longbox frame with a shortbox and then 2' extra of cab
  7. Tons of people tow with short boxes and regular 5th wheels. I have been watching and talking to people this last 6 months and I havnt met one person that has had problems. They all say you just have to pay attention
  8. Probably head gasket. You can crank on it all you want it will still leak. Rear bolts come out just like normal. Push rods go through holes in the cowling in the back
  9. I just took the old "sound system" some kid put in my new pickup. They jumped off the speaker wires by stripping the insulation and wrapping wire around tge exposed wires then taping them together
  10. We always cut the inner wheel well on the d-maxes
  11. Agree next step is codes and have the battery/charging system inspected
  12. They make one harness for all the pickups so there is connectors not used that are there
  13. Pull your pcm connectors and make sure pins are good and connections are tight. It could be one thing causing all the other stuff to happen
  14. So I installed my sensor tonight and same problem. Actually had a 0222 code not a 0221. Wasnt getting any voltage down the signal wire. Had 5volts and ground. Well I noticed the previous owner cut the signal wire and the ground wires and ran news ones. Well I checked and the signal wire was grounded. Cut the wire and had throttle position. But no o/d and cruise so I am like wtf. Go home and open the hood. Well in the process of doing the tappet cover and bhaf I cut all the wire ties and forgot to get one wire secured. Happen to be the signal wire I cut and it ran to the pcm. I noticed it was ran around the front of the engine and it melted to the turbo housing thus grounding out the signal wire. Routed it the right way, and everything works perfect.
  15. Most likely vp44 is on its way out. When the pump heats up, it meses with the internal computer
  16. I just got a dead pedal and a 0221 after doing my tappet cover gasket. New sensor will be here tomorrow
  17. Gotta pull inner wheel well. Plastic push pins (christmas trees) can be found at any parts store. Just make sure they fit the hole
  18. Can you read requested rail pressure? Or does it only read sensors? I just picked up a 06 megacab and I am thinking about the gauge for tracking my mileage
  19. Rtv unless they put a reusable gasket but most likely its rtv
  20. Fuel pressure isnt used on 3rd gens fuel flow is more important
  21. Throttle position sensor Lots of pickups have the fan code its nothing to worry about
  22. Ok i missed that it worked with the cluster test. And the key trick works on the 3rd gen. You only have to go back one click not all the way off. And some pickups i noticed didnt work with the door open for some reason
