  1. Its all about the metals being used. Use the wrong coolant and you are asking for problems with cavitation and such
  2. You can find websites that sell oem parts that use similar software but the software chrysler uses is only used at the dealers. Its actually an awesome program and easy to work with
  3. You need hoat. Dont use anything else or you will have problems
  4. Call Erick at Brown's Diesel. (559) 867-1111 They build Goerend transmissions for Dave. Tell him Seth sent ya and he can build a trans for your needs
  5. Shouldnt need grounded as there is a wired ground going to sensor. The only advantage I see is to get sensors away from heat/vibrations of the engine
  6. I heard bounty dryer sheets keep them out. I wouldnt doubt they would eat expanding foam
  7. I would start with a mechanical gauge. Just because you think the sensor is good, doesnt mean it actually is
  8. First time I poured 0 weight into a chrysler crossfire, I about freaked out. Didnt realize oil could pour like water
  9. You cant screw anything up with a drb. To flash you need a computer setup with the flash hardware and a drb. Also enabling high idle takes 30 seconds and is simple as hitting a couple of buttons
  10. Recalls are free and dodge is the only one that can do it. Do you know if the recalls are active or have already been done? And when I was there you actually loaded the newest software so the whole ecm is updated. I hate the mindset that dealers are bad and they are trying to screw you. Its not always true.
  11. Do not flush the trans unless you plan on buying a new trans. I have seen it happen many times. Drop the fluid, pull the return line going to trans and put into container. Start pickup until fluid stops draining. Install upgraded governor presure sensor and solenoid. Adjust front and rear bands. Put new filter and install pan. Add a bottle of lucas trans fix and 6 qts of atf+4. Drive nicely until engine gets warm and add fluid as needed. That is the most reliable way of changing trans fluid. As far as mileage, I really love the mpg/high idle/ 3 cylinder idle switch. It really helped mileage in winter. Get rid of the aftermarket intake and install a bhaf. Oiled filters let too much dirt in and you actually want the warm air from the engine getting sucked into the turbo. 4" isnt going to help with mileage (either will a cold air intake) the only advantage is better sound. I like using mufflers so it isnt too loud
  12. Remove sun visors, overhead, clothes hanger clips. Anything that looks like it holds in the headliner. Its not glued so it should fall out
  13. Hmmm. The only thing I could see is if its showing the computer higher rail pressure so the fca isnt putting out enough pressure to start.
  14. I would be looking at plugged air filter/fuel filter. Kdp, fuel shut of solenoid, turbo, valve adjustment, slipping clutch. Im sure its something simple. 12 valves are tough. Transmission is worth 2700
  15. Spray adhesive, silicone, weather stripping glue are some ideas
  16. And this is why people are getting rid of their 2nd gens.I am more than happy to get rid of mine because you are always worried about stupid stuff going wrong and it often does. Ive seen a pickup throw a 0216 and last another 100,000. Check all your grounds and make sure you are getting a good charge. Also check your connections at the vp and the ecm. You need to say the name of the company so nobody else gets burned by them
  17. You might try to find a wiring harness for a raptor. Then you have everything
  18. Looks like a thick washer. Cant remember if the main cap bolts have that thick or where that looks familure. Cam retainer bolt washer? Anyways I wonder if that restriction didnt help with your issues.
  19. If you are in AZ you are close to Brown's. Give erick a call and he will answer all your questions
  20. Be careful on "new" there is lots of companies that say new in the title but dont say anything on how they are new. Bbi is the only ones that will say they are completly new. I keep hearing about bosch motorsports but havnt done any research into them
  21. I got 223,000 on mine. Going with bosch remans. Cant afford bbi. Im only getting 16 so its time for injectors
  22. Sometimes there are build tags under the hood and in the glove box showing which axle but wild and free is correct
