  1. Try leaving your fuel fill cap loose and see if the hard starts go away. Ive seen it before and i know its weird
  2. http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2001/09-004-01.htm And look up tdr oil filter study. Its a good read but would be nice if they did an update with the newer filters and the new internal bypass filters Wix makes napa
  3. You can use oil. I was just taught to use grease on all the fuel o-rings. It wont seal any better but I have never messed an o-ring up this way
  4. You can run 1300 all day. I agree a boost elbox would help alot
  5. I would be looking into fleetguard or donaldson. Tdr did a test and wix was one of the worst filters out there
  6. 01's dont have a dpf. Thats a 6.7 thing. Most likely you have a cat and muffler. I would start by getting a 4" mbrp exhaust with muffler. It will help with getting exhaust out quicker. I also agree on the bhaf. What are you hitting for egts?
  7. Connector tubr o-rings will only cause hard starts when engine is cold. I also install with bearing grease. You dont want to catch one I would fix your tach issue first. I do believe the rpms is read off of cam and that is also what telks the ecm that the engine is turning over
  8. Get an governor pressure sensor and solenoid feom cascade transmission parts. They are amazing people
  9. There is so many things it could be fuel issues or air issues would be the first thing to look for. Ecms dont just go bad but everybody wants to blame them first. The puck is pretty much a bunch of resistors that fool the computer to thinking the sensors are reading different.
  10. Bingo. I had one on my 01 that was bad and would draw the other one down. I forgot about that
  11. I would be looking to what is drawing your power down. Low batteries cause weird stuff. So, look up how to look for battery draw using a test light. Dont look into it too far until you fix the obvious things first
  12. Hellcat is the engine name. There is a challenger and charger version with maybe a 1/2 ton pickup also in the future. The funny thing is the charger is faster
  13. Dodge was out first the others copied. Just look at the challenger. Dodge had a functional display at the detroit auto show, chevy had to push theirs on to the stage
  14. I would change the fca. Your looking too far into it
  15. When it is hot and acting up, run water over vp. If it atarts running, vp computer is bad.
  16. Run cold water over computer on vp when its not starting (hot). I cant remember if you can go backwards on a ho to a so pump. I know you can go one way but not the other
  17. Could be clutch cycling. You shouldnt feel the fan cycling. But when a fca acts up, it will be rythmic.
  18. You should only idle your pickup for a couple of minutes. Idleing only uses the injectors more, burns fuel and also allows the cylinder temps to drop so your fuel isnt completly burning. Which cause carbon and can cause injector to stick open (seen it many times). Mine does the same thing, one time it idles rough and the next time it idles fine. Im gonna throw in a fca but I am getting injectors because I have 224,000 on the origional injectors. You also need to build/buy a 3 micron filter setup for it and run a baldwin pf7977 filter in the stock housing
  19. Either fca or injector going bad
  20. Ive seen the front seals on a cp3 blow fuel out on pickup with an aftermarket fuel pump but cant say what pressure or why it went out
  21. Im pretty sure you want around 6. But ah64id will tell you for sure
  22. So there is a "t" fitting so it can run off of electrical or mechanical? Will they start when the electrical goes bad? Im just trying to figure out how this works for future customer pickups
  23. What happens when the electrical pump goes bad and you cant pull through the pump?
  24. I didnt even know ts was still in business. I would of hone with the smarty touch. And banks is a joke
  25. I would like to see what the leds look like from the drivers seat
