  1. If you can afford bbi get them, if not pm me and I can hook you up with bosch remans. Bbis are completly new injectors, where bosch reuses some of the parts. And yes 2 micron (now measured as 3 micron) is a must. Glacier diesel, vulcan performance make great kits and will either use a cat or a donaldson filter. Donaldson is a p551313 or p551315
  2. I have been fighting a 2002 7.3 with no start unless plugged in. Put new glow plugs in 9 months ago. Well I decided to do the valve cover gaskets and 4 of the plugs were bad with one of the tips stuck in the head. Finally got it back together and it will start. It amazes me that those powerstrokes need all 8 glow plugs working even when its 90 degrees out to start. I started my 02 at 20 below with out letting the intake heater go off just to see if it would start. It started but didnt like life until the engine got some heat into it
  3. Are they like the newer 7.3 with the valver cover gasket wiring?
  4. Start it up and let oil pressure build before driving. There is enough oil in the turbo to not worry about it
  5. When you go from installing dipricol gauges to autometer you would understand what I am talking about
  6. I ran a cheap oil pressure gauge with copper tubing. Got sick of false gauge readings
  7. Im not a fan of autometer. They just seem cheap like glow$hit. Ive never installed isspros but they will be my next gauges. I honestly bought a 20 dollar oil pressure gauge and a 10 dollar copper tubing kit off of amazon for my fuel pressure. Got sick of my glow$hit causing weird readings
  8. Ive replaced about 6 raptors and the last one was replaced 6 months ago. So the replacements I have done are still working
  9. Good luck with the glow shift. Had nothing but problems with them in my personal pickup and another customers pickup
  10. Thats why i love living where they rarely use chemicals
  11. Make sure you are using fleetguard/baldwin/donaldson filters. Lesser filters are well know for breaking apart. There is a tsb of approved filters
  12. Not even close to the aisin which is only found in certain 3500's. The 6 autos are a 68re and the manual is a G56. Aisin>allison. The ones in the cars a half tons are a zf-8 zf-9, its a joint venture with high end car makers.
  13. Yep you need to loosen the fittings and make sure the end is seated
  14. Once again the smarty will be much more adjustable than the bulldog. I have one customer go from a bullydog to smarty and he couldnt be happier
  15. Some locksmiths can now program keys. The battery runs the chip and buttons. I need to try holding my chipped key next to the ignition while using a basic key that is cut to see if it will fool the skim to thinking a chipped key is in the ignition
  16. Bullydog is super old technology. You are going to be 10 times happier with the smarty.
  17. One tiny shot of ether wont explode. I use it all the time to bleed injectors. But if you are worried, pull the signal wire off the relays
  18. You need to pull the regulator apart and see if you can find anything. If you have an adjustable regulator, you need to set it between 18-20 psi.
  19. Drill them out until the heads pop off. Then vise grips. Usually just the head of the bolt is seized to the bracket
  20. Yep wont hurt anything
