  1. Do you have the crossover tubes removed?
  2. Oh crap. He's talking about a bed cover or a shell! I'm an idiot, my brain got stuck.
  3. Are you asking for ideas for taking your canopy off your 5th wheel? Why do you want it off?
  4. When @Dripley talks about checking your alternator for AC voltage this is different that having Auto Zone checking the alternator. When you checked your alternator did you check for AC voltage? This is a must. Have you tried resetting your APPS? After disconnecting the battery you should have done this. Turn the key to on, without starting the engine, and slowly press the accelerator to the floor and then release the pedal. After that turn the key off. I recently had some started issues and I mistakenly thought it was my neutral safety switch. When it fails to start are you hearing clicking from the area of the starter? Next time it happens you ought to have someone tap on the starter while another person is turning the key. Very easy to rebuild and the contacts inside the starter are a common item to fail. Here is the article that will walk you through testing your alternator.
  5. Last Minute Valentine's ideas....
  6. I think anything is a benefit, especially replacing the restrictive banjo bolts. But the main feed line coming from the tank is still a big restriction. Running the big line kit from the filter to the VP44 will not be an ultimate fix to FP fluxuation problems.
  7. I hope this is the fix for you. I am interested in the long term of your rebuilt ECM. It looks like the company offers at Life Time warranty, that ought to give you some comfort. Keep us all informed how well it works out.
  8. Why did you change out the injectors?
  9. A dam in North-Eastern Nevada failed last week. https://www.ksl.com/?sid=43126767&nid=148 A lot of snow followed my a warm weather with a lot of rain.
  10. That's what I thought. But according to what he says this problem started before changing the VP and BlueChip sent him another new VP to see if the first new one was bad. Seems unlikely that 3 VPs would be bad with the same symptom.
  11. Maybe take a look at the air filter and make sure there are no flow restrictions.
  12. Did this problem exist before you changed out the injectors? Did the problem get worse or better with anything that you changed? I would look at getting an actual fuel pressure gauge. At WOT pressure can drop dramatically, you need to see how much fluxuation you have. Are there any signs of fuel leaks anywhere? Do you ever have problems with it starting or losing prime after sitting? Does it smoke at all? How many miles on the truck?
  13. Do you know what your fuel pressure from the lift pump is? Also, how full is you fuel tank? You ought to consider getting rid of those banjo bolts. They will only restrict fuel flow. X2 on checking for engine codes.
  14. Are all the lines leaking? Can you swap crossover tubes into spots that are not leaking and see if the problem follows?
  15. You said that the diodes checked ok. What was the AC voltage from the alternator?
  16. I have a 4" with a FTE Resonator. I would look at getting band clamps rather than using the u-bolt style clamps.
  17. I'd buy a hoodie and a t shirt
  18. Are you sure your grid heaters are working?
  19. I had a battery in a car that went bad and acted like this. I could charge it up and then with a DVM I could watch the volts drop before my eyes--nothing hooked up to it. Internally it was bad. New battery and I was good to go.
  20. It is wired up correctly, I'm certain of that. It may have a gremlin or two inside but I was more curious if the two were related. I don't think they are...but was curious of the opinions of minds greater than mind. The radio is working as it is supposed to for now.
  21. A couple of odd problems bore their ugly heads today... I took my truck to get the tires rotated at lunch. After they pulled it out of the bay and handed me the key I couldn't get it to start to save my life. A month or two ago it gave me a fit starting, I pulled the clutch safety switch, cleaned it up and put it back and I haven't had an issues since. So, in the parking lot I reached up and pulled it out, tied the wires together and plugged that back in, but it still didn't start. I could hear a single click at the starter each time I turned the key. So, I am guessing the starter is bad. The guy at Les Schwab crawled under the truck (which is pretty great because it is snowing and WET) and tapped on the starter while I was turning the key and it ended up starting after a few taps. We checked the batteries and they checked good. The dash, and heater blower all powered up as normal, no indication of low batteries. While I was trying to get it to start, my radio started acting up and may be a complete different issue, or it may be another symptom of a bad ignition switch. I cycled the ignition many times and sometime in all of that my radio (aftermarket Kenwood ) froze. It was "on", playing a radio station, but I could not turn it off, change the station, volume and the display was froze (time wasn't changing). Even with the ignition turned off and the key removed. The power button on the receiver did nothing. Once I got home, I pulled the "radio" fuze and it still didn't turn off. I finally pulled the radio head and unplugged it from the back. I plugged it back in and it worked as normal. Now, after plugging it back in the radio turns off with the ignition and with the fuze pulled. I am wondering if while cycling the ignition if internal to the radio it farted and was powering itself off the 12v feed that is supplied to maintain clock and memory, when I get home I'll look at the schematics to see if that 12v goes through the fuse as well. I've only had this radio in for a month or so, but I haven't had any issues like this so far. Does this sound like a bad started? or should I look into the ignition switch?
  22. Can the lenses on the OE lights be buffed and polished? I've seen kits but never used them and always wondered if the work.

How are there no pictures of this? Probably for the best that you haven't shared any, PETA would be screaming. I once watched a guy load 3 piglets in the cab of his truck at an auction. I can't imagine that mess. Every time I have transported pigs, as soon as you start to move it has a laxative effect on them.
