  1. HID's in a halogen housing with no projector is a no no, HID's in a HID projector = win.
  2. So your exhaust temps will be VERY low on the group that is not firing in 3 cyl mode. The gasses fromt he front dont mix with the back as the hx35 has a divided scroll.
  3. here's the site one with my video
  4. have you read the tune article I wrote? how about the video I created?
  5. jealous of is. what did you pay is what I want to know.
  6. I wouldn't worry about it until you have lul in torque with timing. Factory bolts then I error on the side of safe vs performance.
  7. as always great info.
  8. Over 2.5k I dont think it is possible to overtime a vp44 truck I would ensure your tunes have fuel load set to at least 1.5* and your light throttle load limit % should be %5 over your cruise load. as for a safe curve in the rpm timing setup I would go no higher than 17* at 1500, 20 at 2k and 23 at 2.5k
  9. Vizion is their older standalone gauge setup.
  10. I don't think any of them will cause issues. I only see one app in the store.
  11. If you have studs I wouldn't worry about timing. Increase it until you feel the truck be kinda lazy then back down timing some. My truck likes 20-21* at 65 mph Then set your light load limit about 5% higher than your cruise load. Then do fuel load of ~2*that should get you into the meatof the timing curve when you put the pedal down.
  12. upload them to the site However, with an auto you are going to struggle to rev out more than ~3700 unless you hold gears manually.
  13. I dunno if you have spotted this yet when cranking, but our ecms ask for ~17* when cranking. in theory the line delay should be highest when cranking. so the impact of pop pressure will also be highest. very interesting thought.
  14. there must have been a glitch we had duliplicate threads with different info, so I merged and cleaned up things.,
  15. are the stock lift pumps on a 4th gen prone to issues?
  16. @kzimmer Mine very noticably starts right off the bat now. very surpised.
  17. there has got to be something in the rules against that
  18. the hidden timing function is a semi protection thing honestly. if a guy just sets everything to 0 because he "doesn't know" then we would want to keep the oem timing pull under high load situtations rather than sticking to a timing curve that is %100 related to rpm. the guys who want that %100 related to RPM will know enough, in theory, to set one of the values to something, even .01* 6 in one had half dozen in the other.
  19. my liver just sent a sharp pain to my brain to warn of the Iowa City " fun time"
  20. should we start a support group?
  21. stop now before it is too late.
  22. @kzimmer notice any difference in your trucks ablitly to start in the cold with pop set at 340 bar? Side note, I adjusted my turbo vane position some in the 65,000 rpm to 105,000 rpm area to get rid of some mid throttle barking. DP is down about 5 psi on the top end. My race curve is sitting at 1.42 DP to B ratio, EGTS are very happy and power is great.
  23. The more I fart with it the worse it is, if I just leave it alone it always connects reliably
  24. You will have to guess on offset as I don't know anyone running 6 x.013 but I would guess 160 would be close. Technically my 7 x .012 flow more and I am at 155 Glad you like it. I am happy with it. Hopefully now I will stop messing with stuff.
  25. Yep. From my testing I can't get exactly what I want in a timing curve using this method, but I get a happy medium.
