  1. that's DDP, replace the injectors or the nozzles and repop. I wouldn't worry about fuel knock
  2. What issues did you have with the DAP besides fuel knock? Smoke and haze is normal with DDP. I am not sure if that has gotten worse or not since DAP injectors. Is there an actual driveablity issue beyond the noise and haze?
  3. Hopefully this whole EV push will force the US to bring our grid up to snuff. Good enough is not good enough anymore.
  4. So the issue did or did not exist with the DAP's?
  5. Go for it, I never used it beyond testing.
  6. I sold that truck ~3 years ago ish I dont remember much of this anymore.
  7. there appears to be a timber wolf living in the area. I just seen one run half way across the river grab the leg off of a deer that must have falled in and froze, then run back to shore down the river from my place.
  8. nadda yet. we should have a month maybe 2 until that point.
  9. It has been ~24 hours since it was below freezing. woot woot
  10. No sure honestly, I never calibrated with the actuator off. I do know the power needs to be cycled between calibrate and trying to send a command to the turbo.
  11. My truck with 7 x .009 injectors and hte he351ve and the smarty at %50 power mode ran something like ~18% opacity and put down ~80 hp. The tech gave me a wanring saying something was wrong and I should take it someplace. I said " yea its and old truck, its prob time for injectors" next year I was on 7 x .012's with the he351ve and the quad. I ran my daily tune on lvl 3, it put down ~375 hp at %11 opacity. once you have a good tune you can just leave it for testing, but valet mode does make it nearly impossible to fail an emissions test.
  12. the calibrate command should make the actuator find the limits in both directions. Does your actuator rotate 1 way then back in the other direction? or just one way?
  13. you can just set to lvl 1 and set your tune valet mode power level to %80-%90 that should be %100 clean with 50 hp injectors. emissions testers shouldn't care about the quad I would just pull the screen out of the cab so they are none the wiser.
  14. looks like pin 7 is what I used to enable or disable the pot. pin 7 will have to be triggered to enable the pot to work.
  15. The pot to set vanes manually will override the RPM calc section of the code, but hte pot I used was a push pull pot to enable or disable on another pin, I dont remember which anymore. The most common thing I seen was the wrong pin being used for the can control due to issues with board differences / spec and other conflicts on the can pin. You might try a simplier versioin of the code to only send can position based on pot position. however if the turbo acts like it wants to find the limits when the calibrate command is sent, but does not want to do anyhting when the normal code is running then it suggests that the can communication is working, but something else isn't. another thing is if the code does not fire off a message every ~50-200 ms then the turbo should "reset" or jump back to a position over and over. I dont remember how long though, if I remmeber right I think it jumps to wide open.
  16. Please remember that DDP historically runs 155* spray angle nozzles. DDP injectors are historically Smokey and hot. If it quacks like a duck.... Agree you should hotwire the pump, but my money is on the injectors themselves.
  17. Ditch ddp and get better injectors.
  18. Yep, however the roll in type is preferred due to how bad the ice flows are in spring.
  19. yea still around 16" on the river, but it is popping pretty good so It's wont be too long until I can get the boat into the water.
  20. I am gonna take advantage of the global warming and cut out early to go fishing. almost 50* yesterday and looking to be hte same today.
  21. I am looking at hte 10 day forecast and I am wondering the same thing, supposed to hit 50 this weekend?!?
  22. @Gregturley I removed your phone number,. Generally a bad idea to post that on a public forum.
  23. then I think you are good, throw the quad back on load up mikes tow tune and see how it is.
