  1. So correct me if I am wrong but at 30,000 cycles on the memory that gives us ~20 years of use if the truck is started 4 times a day each day per year?
  2. Monday's require a perky sound
  3. I am pretty sure that his truck is on strike due to the gawky round things his truck rolls on I did chuckle a few times though.
  4. I think the most common issue we are going to have in the future is the WTS as memory is going to start wearing out.
  5. Get a big tube of dielectric grease Pop the hood, Unplug every plug under the hood one by one and grease with the dielectric grease. Ensure you really get the grease in there good, cycle the plug a few times to get it covered. Clean EVERY ground under the hood, Clear codes, go for a short drive and then rescan for codes. I would HIGHLY suggest getting a good multimeter, that is the single most helpful tool in a toolbox.
  6. You guys are likely right, my APPS is about % higher than it used to be. The only thing timing wise that could be changed would be the oem timing as the quad's map's would be the same.
  7. alright got a video of my 0-100% throttle snap with the canbus fueling settings.
  8. You are assuming that the tune that is running is not overfueling due to outside variables. and that the tune was exact enough to handle low load fueling efficiently. I have no idea if my MPG is up or not, but my cruising EGT's are down since I am no longer bound by the old quad maps. I do understand your thought process also as I was sceptical myself starting out. However the same held true when I would change power levels before also. Higher egts when I had the box turned up. This was not true with stock injectors however. Only after then larger injectors.
  9. Timing tables are the same, It is the power reduction below OEM curve when at low boost that is making the difference.
  10. My EGT's are down about 50 - 100*f when cruising with the new quad tuning.
  11. More testing and tuning Happy to report another day of improvements for my tuning, tyler hasn't gotten his hands on this release, but I am very happy. I got a chance to do a 0% throttle to %60 and above from a stop up and hill merging onto an interstate Might be a bit hard to see, but I went from 0% directly to %62 and held at ~%70 throttle.......Note when I let out of the throttle due to coming around the turn leading to the onramp., which is fine and dandy, BUT BUT BUT.... not one ounce of smoke. And I don't mean once the turbo was lit.........I mean from a standstill to high TPS not one ounce of smoke, not one ounce when wiretap came on, not one bit of smoke. I can't stress this enough, right now I could take my truck into the emissions place and pass with the tuner turned up iQuad-2016-07-31-04.54.491189992457.csv is the data log for the run. For a comparison, I went from this To clean I should have gotten a video, but I was not expecting to be able to do the run. Egt's are the same so I am assuming that power is about the same. My butt dyno can't tell the difference. There might be a second more lag or so, but I am really not worried about it. I am sure I can add a few % across the board and get rid of the lag. It is hard to tell the difference in power because before power would hit hard, since the turbo was being flooded, now it ramps up very smooth.
  12. Tell me about it. My old bmw stays parked most days. Those 12 gerbils under the hood turn me into one mean speed demon badger. Those cooled cup holders are the coolest thing since sliced bread
  13. No the oil system cannot cause a vacuum leak. I would guess you accidentally wacked the vacuum lines on the firewall when doing and r&r on the turbo. I would recheck those lines. I like to cap sections of vacuum lines at the junction to try and isolate any leak.
  14. Mike, So if the wts issue in the ram? Could we solder on new ram and force a flash by setting coolant and tips to 5v on start.
  15. I dont know how Tyler is liking the most recent release , but I am VERY happy. No more smoke due to high tps at low revs / boost, no more rolling into the throttle to get the truck moving. I used to have to step up my throttle from 0 to 15 to 20 to 30 in 1 second intervals, now I just put my foot to %30. If I would have done this before it would have smoked, now just a very faint haze. the fueling maps tyler and I have now are pretty relaxed, but I honestly don't notice much difference in smokeiness between the aggressive tunes from before, just a more controllable upper end My tune starts at about 80% then 88% my 6 psi, then %100 at 10 psi then leveling off to 110 by 17psi.
  16. Lvl0 OEM fueling curve lvl3 which some rough tuning done to lower fueling at low rpms I wouldn't say the truck feels any slower, this is likely due to being able to use more APPS input and not having to feather it to keep smoke down.
  17. Mike, I dont think the obd stuff will work, you will need a CCD bus chip rather the obd stuff. I think it is on a different protocol and buadrate.
  18. use a multimeter and check for shorts to ground and 12v at the plug. The decide what to do from there.
  19. nope, Jump the lift pump to supply power, bleed the system and get it to fire. then check for AC noise.
  20. Scan for codes using a code scanner and report back. Don't jump to conclusions yet about anything being fried. Also check your electrical system for AC noise from a bad alternator, that can cause all sorts of strange issues.
  21. mine was a 8n also hahahah Pulled my first car , 69 pinto with no brakes, out of the woods backwards using it.
  22. I merged your two posts. Couple of questions. What did you replace the lift pump with? another block mounted? Did you verify that you are getting 12v signal from the ecm plug to the lift pump? the lift pump really needs to be put on a relay vs power directly from the ecm.
