  1. The forum is active, but we are mostly geared towards cummins powered vehicles, HOWEVER our members skills extend well beyond diesel, as you can see in this thread. Welcome and post, I am sure of these guys will help you out.
  2. make sure the vp44 is tight to the time case. Happened to me. the vp44 wasn't fully seated.
  3. Mike, How we know that the header 486 is the ecm and no the pcm?
  4. we tend to more DIY stuff to articles once the path has been laid out.
  5. been through that one before I need to read the updates. I am curious to hear about your project. I am assuming the ccd bus protocol is the same in a jeep vs cummins?
  6. Me78569 commented on Mopar1973Man's Cummins article in Engine
I assume you mean radiator pipe not intercooler?
  7. Vacuum leaks will increase crank pressure, thus blowing more oil out of the breather.
  8. Fuel temp is read directly from the vp44 on the quad. Fuel returns to the tank via 2 methods, overflow from the injector pop off and through the overflow. The majority of the fuel returned to the tank is from the overflow. Dodge said that "very" little fuel is returned to the tank via the injectors. Fuel can always flow through the vp44 regardless of running state, but at 14psi and above the most possible fuel is flowing through the system
  9. You need to drop the pan, once the pan is dropped it is 6 or 8 bolts, nothing the average joe can't handle.
  10. You can have an oil leak if you don't tighten the vp44 to the case. Otherwise the common puke bottle could be to blame. I would guess the vp44 to gear case is leaking though.
  11. Give me belly bacon and labatt blue or get hosed eh
  12. The quadzilla reads fuel temp. my fuel temp in the vp44 is always ~15-30*f over ambient regardless of how long you drive. the tank acts as a good heat sink.
  13. oh ea it's give me liberty or give me death, I get them mixed up.
  14. We recently changed their food, as the place we used to get it from went out of business. They laid good on the old stuff, we will keep trying new food until they come around. I am no carrot expert but ours are doing well. I think they like sandy soil, from what I hear. Broody sounds about right, she has turned into a she-itch . I have bigger things to fry now.
  15. I noticed 0 improvement when I went with a big line kit. Same pressure drop. The lift pump simply cannot keep up.
  16. just to add insult to injury, I am making some rhubarb spread right now.
  17. I am pulling about 2 pies a week off of it.
  18. On a side note, We harvested our first section of garlic today. Not as big as I would have hoped but not bad either. Rhubarb is growing like it is going out of style. All of our squash is doing great and cucumbers are almost growing too well. Did a lot of weeding today and replanted the next run of lettuce and spinach. Carrots are getting to the point where you can pull one at random for a snack. On a less happy note our chickens seem to be on strike. Egg production is down. We have one chicken that is pretty much staying in the laying box all day....not sure why.
  19. i'll ship them your way mike
  20. we created a switch that gets you the mpg mod plus high idle, both 3 cyl and 6 cyl modes.
  21. The front bar makes a big difference. I would just fix the bushings and leave it attached.
