  1. Just an article. http://news.yahoo.com/could-us-learn-australias-gun-control-laws-174307680.html Thought it was relevevant around what I was saying. I know there are probably many more from othre countries or whever that show otehr wise - just curious to get a few good reads linked in here also
  2. For my part it's all good - hard topic with obvious very polar ideals. Kinda interested to sit back and hear other discussions - its even split within our own family:) thx for keeping on track Ryan
  3. Damn Ryan Pm me for some diet tips Or is that your brother - haha - nuts
  4. It happened ... In the other thread Yeah guess it's back to work Monday .... Even for Marvin
  5. I think ryan kinda summarised what I was trying to say.On the immigrant thing - well we are ALL immigrants. Its just a matter of perspective and time. Howerver if it makes you feel better my wife is born here - and she shares the same view on the matter - so just think of it as her views I however feel I have as much of a right to express an opinion on the matter as you The end of the day I dont have an answer - they are just my/our thoughts. I also said ..hey ..why not just let everyone be armed - and see what the stats show and where the cards lie at the end of it. Im just thinking wow imagine getting into an argument with your boss or someone over a bill whos standing in front of you with a fully loaded glock and a squirelly look in his eye - fun times.Tyranny of government - heck that happens all day everyday. Guns arent going to stop that - the "people" will who march and think intuitively. Governments will always have more and bigger weapons that the people - doesnt mean tyranny wins.Anyway - just my thoughts - rather go back to a time kids could play on the streets with having to worry about this stuff, better values, better family care and responsibility, better society. Now its all just "what I deserve and what I should have - my money, my cars, my guns".
  6. AMEN What financial gain did any of the nuts at schools after - lost me on this one ? No-one will. But if you get caught even after fact with guns not lo0cked up - and its immediate jail minimum - no lesser setence - guess your gonna make sure they are locked up when not in use. yeah he's a hard-arse too - in a godo way - just glad hes finally getting older so I can kinda keep up with him even now .... Not saying make illegal. Im saying drastically reduce the number of guns. Why does every mom and pop and kid over 18 need a gun - its ridiculous. Are bombs for fun illegal (small ones ?) - but guns - no - oh its a sport - horsepoop. Oh I need it for livestock and pest control - nuts - plenty of alternatives. Its just my opinion. I come from a different country - but when I look at AUS/UK gun violence comapred to here and I look at the cultural difference in that everyone here believes they have a right under the 2nd amendment Im personally like "get over it" - times change. They didnt have school massacares and IPODS and playstations back then either Dont blame the tool - well ..... I guess cars dont kill people either. Im sure if we were all drunk driving in horse and buggy the deaths would be the same. Common - of course they are to blame - not alone - but they are. Someones just got to decide if the benefits of guns being available to every friggin nut out there outweighs the benefits of the deaths. Name me one good reason someone should have a gun ?? Its just everyone so scared of everone else in america they want one in case. Its just my thought - the other thought is its so ingrained here it wont chage. So then if that options off the table - Id probably say - hey - lets let every man woman and change carry concealed weapons to school, out of school, work ....... and see whos left standing at the end - who knows - maybe that argument would work. I just know for a fact if my colleagues start bringing weapons to work - Im bringing 2 as there's enough tension in workplaces now I can see this getting worse not better.
  7. I dont know ....... I read the article and now Im thinking 1) Got to be worried about some pi##ed off school teacher taking out half the school with the gun hes allowed to carry. 2) Idiots continue to attack schools but come in full armoured gear - now we have a bigger problem. I dont have an answer but the stats suggest having lots of guns available mixed with the social issue here arent helping - so unsure how more guns helps. http://library.med.utah.edu/WebPath/TUTORIAL/GUNS/GUNSTAT.gif http://blogtruth.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/gun_stats1.jpg?w=450 Why cant we have far less availability to weapons...... huge fines (like immediate prison and large fines) if firearms not in a locked tamper proof safe.... and huge funding increases to police and social services being available for those that need rather than paying $100 million to each 1 of our athletes. Talk about social issues ....... I like having guns, my dads a 3 purple heart VET , I come from a farming background in AUS (originally) ..... but can I think of a reason I REALLY need a gun ..... not really.
  8. Guns are too easy to get too - my only comment. Kid or person gets angry and in less than 10 mins he can have guns in his hand No time to cool down and think or 2nd thoughts
  9. Yessir and your right was very stable and no problems what so over even driving it for first time very intuitive and actually a bunch of fun
  10. Heck should have txt .... We are starting early today was looking for a driver !! Looks like its going to be me now on a quick learning curve
  11. Got to dig a big trench so hired one of these. Anyone know if there are any concerns with jib/bucket location for unloading ? I wouldn't think so as just coming off a small utility trailer with ramps So assume I can just role off the trailer with bucket weight in either direction eg forward or backward
  12. Can't tell difference in egt so will say no.For low end power a smarty and bigger injectors is probably better than any stack.
  13. I like my smarty but some guys I know that run the MVP stack love it
  14. yeah the 12v tappet cover is interchangeable and a number of guys run them during a replacemain problem is havent found a decent one cheap and used is always risky on a cover like that - although the gasket is seperate anyway I thinkthinking when I finally pull mine - might just go billet and be done with it....
  15. I was looking at leatherseats.com but some of those kits are over $800 ......then you have to install and get it tight I think an upholstery shop can do the truck for less than $1200
  16. When for 2nd gen ?
  17. 300 ft pounds !!! The wilwaukee does 500 !! Nuts
  18. California has trailer towing specific speed laws
  19. Guys these tools are amazing I hate battery tool generally not enough power and run out too quick Not these - amazing well worth the $$ if you don't want to run a compressor
  20. Oh and don't flush transmission. Never read a good thing for doing it only problems after .
  21. If the transmission is not slipping now and your remaining stock fuel an aftermarket VB is enough.
  22. Craneop that's an awesome story and update thanks for sharing
  23. 10-13 usually around 12-12.5 towing. 9000lb 5th wheel Never found much way to improve it - even speed didn't help much.
  24. thanks i didnt as the bearing looked good and I think you need a proper press to get the beaing on and off ended up using a grinder and the balljoint press and it was still hard - but maanged to get them done and trucks is "smooth" again. Will take the front assembly to a shop and have them cut them out and press them in. Good learning experience my end - TOOLS are the biggest thing here - no way a BFH would have worked Grinder , imact wrench - really need a 350ft pound or above - I only have 250ft .... ball joint press
  25. Now have hit same issue as front shaft - grrrr Have pressed it as far as it will go but can't get end caps off which means can't get ujoint out Very tight even with vice grip pliers won't slip/pull off
