is that a head gasket leak
Plateau diesel (their new name) does my work when it's absolutely necessary. But was disappointed last time. However have only used them 3 times since 2005. Main goal of joining this site was to learn about our 2nd gens after getting hosed in Yuma couple years ago. People speak good about dynamite diesel. However my experience over phone with them was not good, so my back pocket didn't let loose for them. There's good people on this site who will help.

If your map pin is correct, I'm at SeaTac ...out of curiosity diesel shops up your way any good? Or not much of a choice?

Exhaust brake for gas engine?
I've got an older one ton Ford motorhome, I leave my driveway at about 10 or 11,000 lb. Needless to say I chew through brakes especially front. Exhaust brake would be great but cant find any. Whats the reason there's no exhaust brake for gasoline Motors?

Trailer wiring
Are you speaking of an RV trailer? Yeah you could put in what you linked to, nothing matter with that. Myself we use to a lot of camping in remote areas. So I put in a junction box (so that I could run a charge line to extra batteries in bed of pickup. And I'm able to run a small water pump to refill water. Also which ever brake controller you decide on will probably have directions that should help. Etrailer.com linked below has tons of stuff. What ever you do make your wiring so if you brake down somewhere someone else can tow your trailer to get it off the road or back home. Unlike me. Thinking I would out smart thieves, i wired up my old 84 Ford wrong on purpose. Didnt turn out to good when AAA tried to tow our trailer when we broke down. Such as linked below. https://www.etrailer.com/question-363.html https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Pollak/PK52248.html?feed=npn&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIi_-D59Xh5QIVAtlkCh2S1gk6EAQYASABEgIu_fD_BwE

Trailer wiring
Maybe I'm missing something...but I used 7 wire trailer harness, I got it by the foot and no problems been since 05. I was going to instal a 4 way, but i just picked up a 7 way to 4 way flat connector. Link is just to give you spec,s. But truck/trailer repair places you should be able to buy what you need by the foot. https://www.amazon.com/OPT7-Weatherproof-Blade-Adapter-Secure/dp/B01M18QTHY https://www.amazon.com/Best-Connections-Trailer-Wiring-Harness/dp/B07NJ8PXWN/ref=asc_df_B07NJ8PXWN/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=317966907488&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12462389089269044526&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9033337&hvtargid=pla-653486735214&psc=1

hard starts after sitting/ possible VP44
Your info location says Seattle. If in Seattle proper we haven't had low enough temps to effect starting... yet imo. Maybe I missed it but How much Fuel pressure? If you dont have gauge oriellys or auto zone has loaners that you pay for. Bring it back in 1 piece. Get $$$ back. But so much info gained by knowing pressure, makes gauge very worth while. Overall sounds to me like problem hard to find, but should be easy fix. Depending on which airdog, easy to connect pressure gauge or at OEM filter cap.

47re
Looks great and your trans actually made it both ways without getting lost in transit somewhere. I know you did alot of work on it before Jon worked his magic. Were you able to find out what was giving you all the problems? Or just time for rebuild? I'm jellious...I'm starting year 3, trying to get over to dynamic's shop to get mine done.

Any updates to your new trans...you did lots of work before sending it to Dynamic? Any info??? as to "Before starting any modifications to increase line pressure let's first see if what was discussed on TDR has any merit".

What causes Low Line Pressures on a 47re trans? Can we make a list?

47RE Transmission Temperature Port?
Yes please pic. ...I bought an oversize pan and only benefit I've seen is trans fluid takes longer to get hot, but getting longer to get hot works out pretty good when towing trailer on grades. (Hit send the same time ibmoble posted)

advice on rv or 5th wheel
If I remember right. Need to confirm. 5th wheels...20 thru 25% of RV weight going to be placed on truck. Which is why 5th wheels tow so nice. Trailers... 11 thru 15% on hitch ball. Known as tongue weight, equals Very little sway. 5th wheels get to do the tree trimming for trailers, so not all gravy. But they tow nice.

Moving up to a 5er
Congrats... You probably already...the list below all Nit-noid stuff on wives 2013 AF 25w I've gone thru. NW uses alot of common parts on all there makes, so throwing this out. Might help you or not even apply. Your mileage may very. If you have trimark door locks, they had a recall about your OEM timeframe. Search trimark recalls. Fire extinguisher had a recall. (Someone on here when thru the process and got a new one from extinguisher manufacture). Of course RV frig/freezer has had many recalls over the years. Worth checking by serial number if yours is up to date. Aniod rods and suburban...we go with the one that falls apart quickly. In Yuma, only got 4 months out of one. Well water. Around pac nw change about every other year. Elec switch on water heater broke. Cheezze suburban switch. Now everytime I mess with aniod I toggle that switch on/off ouple times. Rust or metal fatigue in cheap switch. I think Axles, when collecting every part number I could possibly find, our axles were Alko which got bought out by dexter. Anyway the sticker with part number was barely readable and pointing up towards front. On ours the Northwoods skylight over kitchen used a skylight that is 1 or 2 inches smaller than what is commonly available and about twice the price. And had to special order. Went with one little bit bigger than OEM, no problems. Door holder bracket had mixture of stainless and zinc. Wood work touch up "blend-in" pencil was number 1 or 2. Had to get off amazon. Big box store didnt have right color. "Minwax blend-fil pencil" is what OEM uses supposedly, according to ex employee. Citrus based Goo-gone bought buy the gallon to remove caulking screw ups at nw. Upgraded to led's throughout ... after I accidentally turned light on in my pass thru. Couple days later when I opened the door to get something. noticed light was on and the plastic lens was melted. After LED's heat no problem from led, as much less heat than old style. About all RV oem's put in screws with some type of device that employees end up suffering out some screw holes. Had 2 cabinets hinges come lose. And 1 hinge needed replaced. Some people tighten up with toothpicks or whatever. I got 1/2 mil bigger in diameter from ace hardware. Some screw makers call there finish antique brass or aged brass but big difference, take a screw with you to match up color when buying replacements. If you have screw clamps anywhere in pressurized side of plumbing, keep them tight or upgrade to something better (shark bite fittings) Imo Frame paint is really thin black cool aid. Carter pins on castle nuts ?axles) supposed to be stainless steel. Not regular steel. There is a special pin that the slide gears need in order to work. 1/4 screw with nylox bolt works just as good for us. Depending on how you store your rv... my battery disconnect switch didn't disconnect co2 alarm in disconnect position. Took about $250 for new batteries to find that out. After traveling around U.S. couple years and seeing what all problems rv's have...we are very pleased with our nw product. Now if wife would get better medically, I'd be so far out in the boonies... enjoy your new rv while you can.
