1. Are you getting ground to the proper wire with the switch thrown? Did you check continuity from your switch to ground? From the Galaxy S3
2. My 2001 was like 7 percentFrom the Galaxy S3
3. Hey Mike after 3 fill ups in the 12 valve, this is what my offset is for gallons. It doesn't appear to be calibrated correctly. I use the same pump the same location everything. From the Galaxy S3
4. Sorry I've been out of touch a little bit. My grandmother passed away Sunday and I've been taking care of a lot of that stuff. From the Galaxy S3
5. don't forget the additional heat the headlight lenses are exposed to via the headlight bulbs. I noticed this to be quite drastic with my wife's Nissan Quest... I got my (non-sport) lights from AM Autoparts, both headlight housings, and both turn signals, for like $75 shipped a couple years ago.. They were perfect, IMO. Same with my tow mirrors from AM-A, as well as other parts over the years..
6. Caj needs to jump in here and elaborate... ;)
7. I'm in VA.. Winchester (off I-81, exit 313.)so take tomorrow off, come to Winchester, and help me swap this hub bearing assembly LOL
8. I thought he used heater hose for the connection to the breather piece..
9. My old '93 F150 w/302 did the same thing, basically. Either the CEL would come on, or the OIL light would.. I can't remember which.. I'd change the oil and viola! Light would go out for another 3-4K mi.
10. grinding, sounds like the reverse syncro is worn. try this: before putting in reverse, pop it in 5th real quick, then into reverse.. this 'should' keep it from grinding into reverse. As for jerky 2nd starts, it could be just needing the clutch to seat.. My 01 6-speed did it, too, so I just started in 1st just to barely get the truck rolling, then dip to 2nd.. you could swap PCMs but I'm sure there's more that'll need swapped than just PCMs.. (i.e. harness portions)
11. my egt probe is post-turbo (previous owner-installed) and towing @ 55, I carry 6-700*F..
12. good job! those are really bright, too!
13. Thanks Hag. I wasn't sure, so that gives me hope (and options for less expensive hub assemblies) :-)From the Galaxy S3
14. My enclosed trailer is rated at 7000#. I know damned well I carry around 9000 in it, most of the time. I run the Tractor Supply 15" wheel/tire combo (215/75-15 I believe) at $130/ea. I get roughly 2 seasons out of them, and one that is still on the trailer, is about 4 yrs old, at least. I also usually jack/block the trailer in winter/off-season, where the tires are off the ground. From April to ~October, it's rolling every weekend, just about.Coopers (at least around here) are expensive, for whatever reason. I know the 235/85-16 E-rated I was gonna put on my truck were around 200-220 a piece. I went with Federals @ $125/ea. Of course, you were in quite a pickle, so that makes for necessity..Hope you're luck turns around, and soon! I'd damned-sure brought you something if it werent 600mi out..
15. LOL yeah it's weird. I wonder if the abs ring is on the axle or the hub. From the Galaxy S3
16. So I tried to complete this project last friday..Needless to say, the schematics I have( listed above) are incorrect.. Where it says there should be a wire, there isn't.. Or it's a completely different color in that PCM slot..And the OD button on the shift stalk is only a 2-wire connector, which is pulse-continuity.. So I ASSuME that depressing the button trips a latching relay in the PCM for the OD circuit..trouble is.. I don't know if it's a ground pulse, or a 12V pulse or what., let alone the fact that I can't even find the appropriate wires at the PCM.
17. Dammit... I forgot to get under the truck this weekend to check what type of hub bearings I need..I was reminded this morning, when backing into my parking spot at work, the wheel bearing began to sound like raw rice kernels between steel rollers... :banghead:
18. Smoked 12 racks of ribs yesterday.. (6) St. Louis cuts, (6) BB cuts. Homemade dry-rub, Mesquite wood for smoke over lump hardwood coal. For S&Gs, I decided to smoke a few racks on the propane side of the grill.. Took a few mods (quick little 'adjustments', so to speak) to the burner layout for smoke, but it did quite well! (Gas side on the left) Above pic taken after I'd already removed some finished racks! holy toledo.. DEE-LISHUS! lol
19. update:trans still going strong!
20. Same with my firestone transforce at tires.. they straight up look highway only. From the Galaxy S3
21. Either should suffice. From the Galaxy S3
22. Yes they can be reused. From the Galaxy S3
23. I'll tell ya, medic.. the hemi get better mpgs than the 4.7 does, so be thankful that's what's in it..mileage-wise, teach better driving skills, slow down on the highway, no rabbit starts/stops, etc.. They aren't known for their mizer-ness, from the get-go..
24. Unless you're planning on revving the ____ out of the motor, I wouldn't concern myself so much on balancing the crank. More-so, balance rods and pistons.
