I being the only one running a Banks package here am kinda partial to it. It has served me well and i would recomend it. But knowing what i know now and if i had the money i would buy the comp in the want ads shown above. And if you dont, i might.

I dont know this to be fact, but i am willing to bet that most states have some form of law to be able to fault or lay blame for an accident on any one who is driving while impaired or distracted. not sure about the distracted part, but my brother was cited for failing to avoid an accident when someone else ran a stop light in NC back in the 60's. i dont think they have removed the law off the books. I just dont think we need the government passing another intrusion into our lives if something else exists to deal with it. Start holding people accountable for they do and we can do alot of that by using existing laws. enforce thae laws we have and make people take responsibility for what they do. there is a sad lack of that in this country today. My parents raised me to be proud of my self and mey deeds, but when i was wrong, own up to it and deal with it.:smart:Boy the lawyers would have a hey day with me.

Turbo cool down period
When i come off the highway towing i usually just take it very easy in a lower gear all the way to the gas station. Just creeping along probably pissing everybody off, but it tends to help cool every thing off fairly well. by the time i get to the pump I am usually at no more than 350*. if i am just going to pump and run I just leave it running. if not i let cool to 300*, fill it up,and do my what ever it is I am going to do. then it is back on the road.

Turbo cool down period
Just riding around town or other short trips i let my egt cool to below 350*. if i am towing i will let it cool to below 300* and sometimes i dont shut it down. jsut depends on how hard i have been running it.I have wondered about the oil temp before like ISX mentions but at the time have no way to monitor it. i have 247k on her and the turbo is still in great shape as far as i can see.

not a bad idea. I like it. when mine is at home it is right by the house and i can plug it in. it is on the rod 99% of the time and i have little need to even do that.

i find it necessary to use my phone sometimes, but i move over to the slow lane and slow down at let everyone by. it is still very distracting while driving and dangerous. i ususally will not even answer my phone if i am intown. i agree with you on people using there phone and not paying attention. 99 out of 100 times i see someone doing something that does not make sense, they have a phone in their ear.

thats why i dont worry about mine to much, mostly a highway rig. but i am not above jumping a stump or to if you know what i mean. i did learn not to bring the wifey, she just doesnt appreciate it like i do.

Fass pump splash gaurd
mine is on the inside frame rail just in front of the tank. it needs a gaurd even though most of my driving is on road. to destroy Mikes you have ot go thru the transfer case. i really dont want to see whats left if that happens.

Lift pump is not powering up in the on position
i am connected to the old wiring harness for the oe lift pump, but that feeds power to operate a new relay i installed. my power source for the pump is connected to the altenator, also to eliminate corrosion from a straight batttery connection. i dont know that the connection is any better or worse than a PDC connection, it was the alternate method(i lieu of a straight battery connection)shown in the instructions. My intank pump was wired thru a relay and not connected to the oe lift pump harness. I was so happy to get all of that crap of my truck that i did not pay attention to how dodge had it all connected.

Lift pump is not powering up in the on position
when i removed my intank pump i simply connected my new AD to the old lift pump plug that had just been hanging there for 4 years. never thru a code. the intank pump was working off a relay and i dont rember what power source it was connected to. so as far as i know you cna just leave the wire to the oe lift pump hanging like mine was.

i was under the impression that the 01 and 02 have camshft positioning sensors and the 98.5 thru 00 have crankshaft positioning sensors. are there any years that have both?

valve adjustment
i only drove mine for one week after the adjustment. then installed a set of rv 275's:thumbup2:. i did notice a differance then, but attribute that to the injectors. the adjustment could have contrbuted also. i just did not drive it long enough to know.
