  1. i would disconnect the quad and see if all goes back to normal. you would know for sure then.
  2. i have never done the head before so not much help there. i did just install some rv 275 injectors and they were a nice addition. DAP has them for $269 + $100 core. I picked up a nice bit of power thru the whole rpm range. glad i did it.
  3. mine pulls down to 8 or 9volts. has since it was new. it is the same with new battteries and altenator. i have heard of others doing both like yours and mine. i am only saying this because there seems to be a wide spread an how far the grids will pull your gauge down.
  4. i have heard it mentioned before, but do not have a clue as to what it is.

    Oops?
  6. my apoligies. i thought you were looking for constant pressure while the switch was on. had to go back and do some rereading. Do you atleast still have 12v at the pump when you bump it?
  7. nope, no high idle box. mine started doing it when i changed my tstat 2 or 3years ago. it has been that way until i drove over the mountains 6 weeks ago. temp spiked to 215* briefly and has been working pretty well since. still fluctuates, but only between 183 and 190 now.
  8. the pump should not be running when the key is just turned to the on position. it does bump the pump for a brief second but then goes off and the pressure drops back to zero quickly. mine for about a 1/2 second and some folks here get near 5 seconds. if you bump the starter it should come on for about 25 seconds and then turn off again, but it does not run just because the key is on. you might have had a weak connection at the batteries that cleared up when you took them off and reconnected them.
  9. surging under cruise would not make for a pleasent drive i dont think. the clock, worth every penny since you dont have to take it apart when or if it breaks. i replaced mine a while trying to fix a nother problem. the thing that galled me the worst when it was not working was the light staying on, like it was laughing at me.
  10. Happy days. i know how bad i missed mine when it was not working.

    Welcome sir.
  12. i have run my outer wear and bhaf for just over a year and if ther was a mpg change it was not noticable.
  13. i have similar problems as you. biggest differance is i have not tried to repair anything yet. heat is either full on or full off, not as warm as it used to be either. i dont have the fogginh problem though. did you reindes the blend door motor when you repaired the shaft?
  14. i wil still use mine in all gears. it does not seem to have any adverse effects on any thing for me and from yall it seems the same. i run mine with 1 quart extra in the tranny. i have also seen some folks putting some anti slip in the fluid. not sure about that one. any of yall doing that?
  15. my cruise light does come on at intitila key on just like you say. i had a problem with mine a while back on the rebuilt ecm. the cruise light satyed on all the time but did not function. never got to find out what was wrong because the ecm crapped out and i had to get a new one. the cruise works fine now. the cruise work differantly from an auto to a manual. my manual i believe is controled thru the ecm and is all elctronic i believe. an auto uses a selonoid controle thru what i dont know but it is differant.
  16. elpquent, having or excesising the power of fluent and appropriate speach. googled that one too. when i looked up the square meter thingy, there were definatley alot more numbers after the decimal point than i cared to type. kinda gave the clff notes version. i passed both geometry and algebra but did not think i would ever need it. then i became a framing carpenter and all that geometry would have come in handy. had to learn alot of it over again.
  17. missed it by .3 of a meter. call the asphalt plant we are gonna be short. not trying to make fun of you. i cant explain things near as eloquent as you did. i deal with aq yds and cubic yards alot. never have to convert them though. the expanation might have been more of what dobienut was looking for.
  18. my oversight. almost to cold to pave anyway. might be up north.
  19. i guess this means you are up and moving around some. glad to hear it. just dont put yourself back bed.
  20. googled it. dont rember all it said other than 1 square foot = .0929 of a square meter.6000 X .0929 = 557.4.
  21. where were you when i did mine? :poke:i needed someone doing this to me when i replaced the orings in the tee. dont forget the bolt. brain fart.
  22. 557.4 square meters. are you paving in europe?
  23. everything i read said they could fail with either condition, free spinning or to tight even with good bearings. mine is oe also, just doesnt spin as frre as yours. i cna still hear it cut on and off. so if we are not over heating or cooling I cnat see a problem with either.maybe this had something to do with the wild swings in my coolant a while back i dont know. i do know it seemed to cut on and of just like it always has. since the haul over the mountain my wild swings in temp have stopped:hyper:. i get about a 6* or 7* swing now. fan still works the same as always. no electric for me.
  24. park it nose down over night with a full tank and see if it starts any better. it sounds like a leak somewhere.
  25. did it always spin like that? i dont ever remember mine spinning that freely. of course every thing was working right and i did not see any reason to check it out.
