  1. Looking good, @AH64ID. Verh nice job.
  2. It goes in place one of the intake cover bolts that is open to the intake.
  3. I am all for that especially just a sensor. I couldn't find in the town I was in when it and the VP went. So I ordered one that was there the day after I got home. I didnt think to just unplug the Comp. I guess it would ride more bearable.
  4. I was wondering how that would work, just disconnected. When mine failed it registered O. Barely fueled the engine enough to get home. Unplugging would get the opposite results if I am reading this right?? Still not good but might have been easier to drive home.
  5. Were ever able to complete the 1689 diagnostics? That would help. My hunch is the ECM. But it is a hunch only. I lost mine back in 2010. Cranked and idled but would runaway if I touched the throttle. Mine however was spitting out codes by the handful. It never however set a p0606, failed ECM. You could send your ECM in and have it tested but that cost money too.
  6. Do you mean you disconnected it from the Comp?
  7. My job watcher sucks. After one bad day of framing the mistrust is so bad I have to send pictures with hours and man counts everyday to be sure we are not taking advantedge of there offer to pay overtime they budgeted. And then 6 weeks later they shut us down and owe us $700k. I spent all day today boarding the place up and their rep calls and asks how it is going and then sends me an email asking for more photos. On a side note their overtime budget was $20k. Think I will not send the photos.
  8. Good luck with the sale and the move. Looks beautiful where your headed. Dont forget some winter time pics after you get there and winter does too.
  9. You mean you are not supposed to bleed while sticking your hands and arms into weird places? I see to stick mine where the zip ties aren't. And no it has nothing to do with chicken coops.
  10. Careful now. I have had mine for 18.5 years and it has been more reliable than any of the last 4 vehicle I have owned since I learned more about it. My VP died back in late November and I had to have towed. The last time that happened was back in 2011. Any thing else was fixable where I was.And those times were very few and far between. Ok I had my fun now, they all have there pros and cons. My has held up beyond my expectations. But not without a couple hiccups. The ECM blown at 2017k was the worst. The good thing about that was finding this place and all the helpful folks here. Dodge got me thru the first 200k and me and this place got me thru the next 300k. The members here have always impressed me,
  11. The company I work is just as smart. 22 years and never missed a paycheck. The only time I saw any cut pay was the great recession. We only lost our job bonus but still got a bit of a Christmas bonus. They even still paid for my fuel. The owners took a bigger cut in pay than I did percentage wise and took care of all there employees. many years back the company got in world poop by growing to fast. These same owners hocked there houses and put the money back into the company and kept it alive when many would have just closed the doors and moved on. I have the utmost respect for them. They know that you cant be successful with out good help; OK, enough of the praises of WHB, its a great company. The folks that shut our job down just did it out of the blue with no discussion with us. We are sitting about $700k in the hole with no communication with them. They did finally talk to our VP and CFO and evidently made some headway. So I am going back to help close the job down for now. Not sure what is in the future for starting it back. Again, we shall see.
  12. All of that is very true and we had alot of momentum going. Now it will take a lot to get that back if we start again. At least a couple weeks just to get back where we were Wednesday. And if they are broke that will be another story.
  13. Always good to hear about a happy ending.
  14. Thats the problem. Their CEO is not talking to us at the moment and a check is in the mail for maybe 30% of whats owed. The mail has jot run yet and the CEO has not called either. That does not bode well. Hopefully they man up and call and the check shows up.
  15. You need get scanner and see what trouble codes might be present. That would give starting point of things to check. The cel does not have to be lit for codes to be present.
  16. Back 13 years ago l was fighting dead pedal issues also. I took it to a local shop in Maryland and they hooked up to their scanner and took it for a drive. The only thing they could find was low fuel pressure. I to had the Dodge in tank fuel pump. That was Dodge's answer to the crappy block mounted OE pump. I had 5 psi at idle and near 0 at WOT. So I added a booster pump from BD on the frame rail near the fuel tank. This got my pressure up to about 12 and 8 psi. The dead pedal was gone until about 4 or 5 years ago Then I had surging and dead pedal issues and was fighting electrical gremlins. I did find a bad splice in my 5v supply to the sensors. I fixxed the splice, replaced all of my battery cables and cleaned the grounds. And the problem was finally gone again. Out any surging or dead pedal issues I have experienced it has never been the APPS.
  17. We can only hope. I will get my pay but its my subs that will get hurt for a while until we can we can work it out. Me I could go home for a while and be fine. But I know all of these guys that did the work for me. Great people and I know it is not going to be good in the end unless the owner comes thru. I want to hope we are dealing with honorable people but they dont seem to act that way.
  18. I dont know what pressure your truck needs but the vp trucks are all 2nd gen 5.9', 24v. 3rd gens have the CP3.
  19. Guess I will found what it is like back home. The owners of my project has shut my job down. There not talking to us alot at the moment so we are not positive why. The virus has been mentioned but they owe us a lot of money and the not communicating is causing some uneasyness with everyone. So I am packing and returning materials as fast as I can. Then will head back NC. I even have travel documents showing I am an essential worker traveling. We will see how it goes.
  20. It is shiny a pretty. Hope it does right by you.
  21. It does sound like you are running 2 fuel pumps at once. I had this set up many years ago. An in tank pump and a booster pump on the frame rails. The intank pump ran off of the stock wiring harness. The booster pump ran off of a oil pressure switch tapped into the engine block. The intank was controlled and worked as the factory pump should have but the booster pump only ran with oil pressure, IE the engine was running. I just reread your last post. And FYI both of these pumps are transfer/lift pumps. They perform the same task which is supplying fuel to the injection pump. You cannot expect them to be both ECM controlled unless you do some wiring mods. You really only need one lift pump. It is not normal to have 2. I did have 2 for a while but you need to get down to one reliable pump. The intank pump is not a reliable pump and you just need to ditch it. The Raptor is marginal though some here do use them and have had success with them. You need a reliable fuel supply system, either an AD?\FASS system or a mechanical system. Yours for lack of better term is cobbled together just like the one I used to have.
  22. Unless some wiring mods have been done both wont run together. Sounds like your Raptor is being controlled by the ECM and your in tank pump is not. How long have you owned this truck? Sounds like a previous owner, po, has done some mods to the truck. The oe lift/transfer pump had no return line to rust off was the first sign for me.
  23. You are right about the arrow. I think it points to the front. Think that is in the install article.
  24. What do you have the oriellys pump connected to? Is the raptor also still wired in.
