  1. Thats coming. We are already starting to cut back on things not needed. Almost completely out of debt. House is paid for. But you never know what the future might hold.
  2. I was just curious about it. That is a long filter for sure. That primer almost looks like it would work like it is if you are mounting in the approximate location of the OE. I guess you will find out soon.
  3. I have to say 2021 cant get here fast enough for me. I started traveling for a living almost 40 years ago. It is time to go home. Not sure they could offer enough for me stay. And then I hope nothing happens that will require me to stay. We will see what the future holds.
  4. Do you run anything for water separation?
  5. I dont remember any screen on the bottom of mine.
  6. I have seen some of 100hp fuel only with a vp. SO or not i dont know.
  7. I had to Google it to see what it was and it was for sale on line.
  8. I replaced mine in 2009 with a new one from Cummins. Has there logo on it. Thats not to say it is not a Mopar design wrapped up in a Cummins label. We see that kind of stuff all the time. I have seen that article before a long time ago.
  9. Glad you got her fixed and it was an inexpensive fix.
  10. Mine is done the same way with an AD kit. Old pick up is now return for the pump and a new pickup. Both 3/8". I see mostly 4 psi drop sometimes 5. Might change them out one day. After retirement gets here.
  11. Google a 2000 ram cummins crank shaft tone wheel. It is 2 pieces and attaches to the crank. I cant link it. Might give you a better idea of what your dealing with.
  12. Might be a loose connection if bumps are making it come on. Would not hurt to plug it and unplug it few times, hit it electronics clean. The harnes connection might dirty or a little corroded. Speedo still out of whack?
  13. I beautiful sunrise over the newest BBQ joint on the southside of Atlanta this am.
  14. I have the same in tank pump fuel basket.
  15. I see alot of 5 to 20% bio out my way and use a good bit of in lieu of the 2 stroke. But when in doubt I add the 2 stroke also.
  16. Not sure why I thought you a 6 speed. As you said there should be pluug on it, drivers side I would think. Have not touched a 5 speed in a very long time. They are much more economical to work on. Not sure where the revers switch is on it. Dont even remember where it is on my 6 speed, had the same issue many years ago. Should not be hard to find. Probably the only electricai connection to it.
  17. Keep tabs on that 6 speed fluid level. Lost 4th in mine due to complacency and not checking the level. About $3k for a good rebuild. But they will last with proper care. Just like the truck. Guess I left out the other fluid levels too. The tranny was the one bit me. Just harder to keep tabs on.
  18. The rollover thingy mabob is in the tank. The vent is just that fitting on the top of the fuel basket. I would think the added line would just catch more crap in its length than just the fitting, personal opinion. Mine has never clogged in 18+ years. Though the fuel basket is only 12 years old, could be different from OE.
  19. I would agree. A good while back placement of the ECM got a bad rap and blame for failures. To many folks out there with alot miles with the ECM on the block. Cant hurt to move it if you want, but I dont think there is anything to gain from it.
  20. If it moves freely with anything there is a problem. The ring is a attached to the crank shaft and should only move if the crankshaft does.
  21. I ran some diesel 13, 14 years ago and never noticed any diferences. They did not have whatever that slick diesel lubricator is back then, IIRC. It does have cetane booster in it which will dry the fuel out. Seems a bit contradictory to me. 2 stroke, while not the only lube out there, is very good and available every where Diesel Klean is. It is a staple around here for most of us.
  22. Good to hear the problem is solved.
  23. Or just put a used one in. I put mine in and now I only have 133k on the clock.
  24. Pretty sure you have to lift the motor to remove the oil pan. Something bugging me about the tone spinning is that it is 2 pieces. If the screws holding it sheared or backed off one of the pieces would be pan. The other piece should fall off the crank also. Just seems odd.
