  1. Dont know personally. Never researched it. Nor know what a new one cost. Mine ia Banks. My Banks connects to the ECT and the TPS sensors, and the PCM. Nothing on the ECM. The ECM is 50 pin connector, what brand I dont knoe
  2. Well my bed cab still line so maybe I have not abused it enough. QCLB.
  3. Not trying to beat you up, just clarifying the issue. I personally would never hijack a thread.
  4. The OP did state 285 75 16's. Thats what my post was based on. @comanche79p stepped in asking for info also.
  5. Checking for codes would help, but not sure you can on the chummy.
  6. You could go a bit bigger on tires I think with the 4:10's. I will defer to Mike on the calcs. I pull a 15k 5th wheel on 3:55's and it does well pulling even in 6th, on the Inter state. In the hill country I see 5th some, just depends on the hills. This is on 265's.
  7. The relays are the big black square things in the pdc under the hood. Thay are the same so if your horn works just swap it in for the ac and see what happens. The radio may have an inline fuse if some one did not use the oe wiring, long shot maybe. Have you checked to see if power is getting to it? With the battery problem at the shop it makes me wonder what teally happened while they had it.
  8. The 1693 is just one computer telli g you the other computer has a code stored. Nothing to worry about. It should clear out with the other 2 when you clear the other codes. As far as the radio and ac check them out and see if they work. I would be just guessing on those.
  9. Nope pretty sure it was cob house. Now on the job we have port a johns, more affectionately know as **** houses. The cob house was very old way to build a house if were not near a forest to supply trees. And I agree with @015point9 on the 5th wheel. Mine is about 3000 pounds on the pin. Truck rides very nice with the trailer on.
  10. Mike Rowe dirty jobs helped build a cob house, i believe called it. Witha mix of some kind of ****, chopped straw and lime. Pretty good episode especially when Mike splatered the **** in is mouth.
  11. There is a code that can be set with the oe pig tail disconnected. It has nothing to do with what you have. The FASS 95 should have just plugged into the oe harness for ECM control of the pump. I should rephrase that a bit. It should get its power thru a relay using the oe harness for a trigger to close the relay and power on the pump.
  12. I shared residence with a man with who served with one of the Marine units that invaded Iwo Jima. The things he told me would have been very similar to what you were told also. The only reasons those Marines triumphed over the Japanese was they had to get as dirty and nasty as their opponents were. Pretty grisly stuff. As a big reader of WWII history I would recomend to anyone interested to read With The Old Breed at Peleliu and Okinawa by Eugene Sledge. The book will put you there with those that had to close with the Japanese. Google him. There are some good documenteries featuring him.
  13. The codes dont have anything to do with the new lift pump. There are no sensors involved with the lift unless they are after market. The 1682 is is a low charging code and the 1687 is a no bus message for the cluster. 1693 is just telling there are codes. If you go to the articles section under 2nd gen 24v all the codes are listed there. Electrical is not my strong point but it sounds like that may have done a bit more than drain the batteries. Lets see what the more electrically inclined have to say.
  14. Just a little back taxing on the emperor.
  15. Not me you pecker head, We call this BONK in chicken land!!! One ting I always thought was weird when I resconnect my batteries is after connecting the negatives is if I connect the passager battery positive first the lift pump comes on.
  16. Welcome 00. Lots of other good info here also. Enjoy your time here.
  17. I can drive around the smoke with the gas pedal, just get tired ofdoing it at low rpm.
  18. I havd Issprio in mine. Used to have a glowshift fuel pressure gauge. Also had some Banks gauges in it too. They are very common size and most any gauge manufacturer makes a gauge that will fit.
  19. What kind of child car seat did you order?
  20. The smoke is what I dont like. I enjoy the power my comp has but even the 50's smoke a lot more than I like.
  21. I was lucky, the turbo was off and I just stuck a rag in the manifold and pulled it out when done. On a different note i removed my turbo for the first time in 14 years during the HG replacement and all the bolts came loose with no problem. Even the exhaust manifold bolts came out the same way and they are near 18 years without turnimg.
  22. I think the oe heater core was brass, the radiator aluminum. Then the block. Both my heater core and radiator are now for sure aluminum.
