  1. No opinion as I have never used them. I'll try to get a pic tonight of mine before it gets too dark and the lights will wash out the pic.
  2. You will have to do some leg work to find out what pumps will fit. I do not have a module here to see what pump is in them.
  3. Yes that is correct on both counts. I have tried to get a good picture of them all on but they wash out the camera. Even messing with the settings. Some one posted theirs in the last couple of days.....
  4. So you could retrofit a better pump to work in place of the current pump on the fuel pump module. Just an idea. The ONLY things airdog and fass are good at is advertising.
  5. I do not. Just getting enough height in them. Which after seeing Mikes pictures mine are much lower than his. Also DO NOT mess with resistors for led switch backs. Get the electronic flasher (ep27 for 98+). I use ebay cheapys. The ones I have currently.   6. Ep27 is the flasher you need for the 98+ trucks.
  7. Yessir. Drops right in place of the original. This is for a 12v. They do not use the same thermostat the 24v uses.
  8. 12v owners. I installed a Stant 13479 thermostat over the weekend. NO more wild 50* temp. swings from the old thermostat. Just nice mild 5-10* swing on open and closed. Got the idea from ghostman over on the other forum. Very very happy with the results. Truck actually made temp. on my way to work this morning in the 37* cold. It would have been barely off the 140* mark with the old tstat.
  9. Some of us do not have a place to plug their trucks in....I live in an apartment complex. No outlets and I will not run a cord out to the truck. Too many characters living around here to give them an opportunity.
  10. The 12v barks and dies a few times. White smoke yada yada yada.
  11. Boost at wot is generally not the issue. Cylinder pressure (torque) drops with rpm.
  12. They'll go lower than that but get a bit grumpy. Even with a single battery.
  13. I am not sure the timing is the limiter.
  14. Replace. It will travel to the guide and into the water jacket.
  15. 1 tooth is 10* @Me78569. I am conflicted on the timing thing. I know Mike and the other modified vps physically build more timing into the pumps. But they also modify the displacement of the pump. An SO has made in the high 800s on fuel without any funny business. Just get the turbos moving fast enough and in the rpm range the vp works. That has always been the key.
  16. Is yours cracked like that in an intake or exhaust valve?
  17. We do not have a power up relay. We use an ASD relay. That may be what he was talking about.
  18. Never heard of them. And the Chinese heads are hit and miss. Which that head is Chinese. I am extremely leery of any Cummins shops out of Pa. With CPP being based out of that state, I stay away.
  19. Don't. Is an utter waste of money for no gain. Been there, done that.
  20. I think it is more common you hear/see them in a high performance setup as we tend to blow the gasket.
  21. All these heads will crack. Nature of the design and the punishment we put them through.
  22. The best replacement heads are oem take offs. BEFORE you spend a boat load of money on a head you need to pressure test yours.
