  1. Guys, HX35s are divided housings. Which both of you have. HY35s and HE351s are undivided. Now, when I unbolted my HX35 for the first time, the gasket in there was an undivided gasket. Putting a divided gasket in there changed the sound a bit.
  2. I was trying to figure that out too. Best I could come up with is get a 1/4” barb to 1/8” NPT adaptor and use a boost gauge and shop air to see what pressure will be after you set it
  3. Mine showed up on Friday. ?
  4. Now I don't know automatics super well, but in lines 39-48, your transmission slip is bouncing from 100% down to 19% then back up to 92%. Seems like a wide swing to me. What is your starting percentage for your fuel curve?
  5. HO has a VP with internal timing advance, and the motor itself has a higher compression ratio.
  6. They're everywhere, really. Can find them sold on eBay or on major diesel sites
  7. To make it best suited for your needs, you want a .70 A/R divided, gated, HX40 style. The third option down in the turbine housing selection. Then on the compressor cover make sure its got the 2nd gen v-band. You also will need an HX40 downpipe to go with it.
  8. Some trucks have the fix, others don't. Mine doesn't have the fix and doesn't pull right.
  9. That’s because the non-CAD 02 trucks were made correctly. A lot of the CAD axles were made short on the passenger side, and pulled to the right when braking. The fix was a 1/4” spacer on the passenger hub. No joke.
  10. It was 75* here, but I grabbed a set of throwaway jeans to keep the soot off the table. And keep the turbine from gouging the oak.
  11. 18 mpg cruising at 80 mph with some stop & go on the 6x0.013's.
  12. Something to consider is the more blades the wheel has, the lower the efficiency will be at higher boost levels.
  13. Just saw an almost complete side-by-side kit on facebook, with the S475, for $1400 out of CO. Was missing the interstage pipe. Sometimes the stupid good deals pop up.
  14. @mopar440cu yes you certainly can run it like that. You will just have levels 0-3, and it will be just a canbus tuner, like the smarty, except you will be able to set your own fueling and timing curves.
  15. Hard to do on these trucks...... Guess I'll take the whole VP with me! Jokes aside I've got a kill switch in my truck and disable a few things under the hood when I leave it sit. Best of luck to thieves. They'd have to tow it. As for proximity keys like the new cars, I've read that VW got in trouble for not having enough security in their key-to-car communications. Like out of X combinations that could be used for communications, they only used two or three, which were stored in the car's memory. Easily hackable.
  16. The s362/68 is what Industrial Injection calls the Viper turbo line. It is a Borg Warner SXE turbo. While the compressor and turbine wheels are similar in size to the 63/67/12 posted, the housings are going to be different. The SXE will have a larger A/R ratio in the compressor housing, allowing for more air flow (78 lb/min for a 62 mm) versus the stock HX35's 60-ish lb/min. More air = lower egt's.
  17. What's the powertrain in that? 2WD i'm assuming? And the 2 speed trans?
  18. That is a question for @jlbayes or @Dynamic. I just know it needs three clunks to seat
  19. Wanted to make sure he didn’t toast the pump right away!
  20. @Dieselfuture had a hybrid built for like $800. An HX35 is also a hell of a secondary for towing, when paired with an s472 or s475, for when you do get compounds. Great response and supports around 500-525 hp with your current injectors and tuning.
  21. There's three clicks to seating a converter. Be sure to fill it about a quart of fluid while spinning it on the ground before installing.
  22. HX35 = HX35W in this context. I just never type the W. It is possible to have a non wastegated HX, and that would be a true HX35. But for any HX35 that came off of a dodge truck, it is a gated version and I use HX35 and HX35W as synonyms. It should have higher egt's when taking off due to the larger exhaust housing (slower spooling), but on the top end egt's should be cooler than the HY35. My guess is you had a boost leak somewhere. That tuning and similar injectors have been used for years on both HY and HX turbos. If you get the Adrenaline, put the HX on and don't look back. The HY will continue to reach its choke point and you will still have egt issues.
