Second best option for headlights
Ok this appears to be more like what your running. https://www.theretrofitsource.com/projector-kits/retrofit-kits-vehicle-specific/2002-2005-dodge-ram-headlight-package.html The first kit doesnt have projectors I dont think. And I think is plug and play. The second kit appears to be every thing and also over twice price.

Second best option for headlights
Honestly something keeps popping up that needs a couple hundred bucks more than headlights. My broke jetta has the 9007 bulbs so all I have to buy are the sport lights and toss bulbs in. Debating on doing my own relay wiring or buy a bright box to run all 4blbs on high. Or not even run high beams I rarely do anyways but might if I could run all 4. Electrical scares me. What's it cost if a guy was ballsey enough to the hid headlight build himself.? I'm sure if I read this thread someone says

99 Oil Capacity
The drip stick advices alittle over full to compensate for drips. More drips require different levels on the drip stick. Also advises not to park on nice driveways Just did the math bought 170k on my 2nd injection pump. Factory pump went to 150

Second best option for headlights
Yours do work well. I'm excited to get some clean clear sport lenses. The 9007 low beam and clean lenses should make a noticable improvement .

Second best option for headlights
Just had sylvain silver star burn out. Replaced with a pair of zxe sylvania. Just barely noticably brighter than the silver stars. These are 9004 bulbs. I dont know that I need anymore light than this. My old lenses need replaced. I keep polishing and it gets grunchy fast

Have you checked for trouble codes. It most likely has some. I just had issues with mine I doubted it was sensor issues but did turn out to be the Gov pressure sensor or transducer causing my issues. I replaced both and issues (2nd gear starts) went away. I'd have to do some research to find out possible causes for not shifting into 3 or 4th. Those are electronic shifts. So could be computer sensor related but dont discount mechanics fluid level bands, plugged filter etc.

Borg Warner sxe300 62 65 14 turbo :)
Yes truck at virtually same psi truck is feeling lighter on her feet. Haven't had time to lock down waste gate. I've been working to much to finish it. I have waste gate and I haven't finished welding down pipe into the exhaust system. My high and tight exhaust is drooping and that's about how I feel to been running ragged out the last few days. I'm thinking I need to do a braided return line to help making fabbing a actuator bracket easier. I started think to run a bell crank then I could mount the actuator anywhere. Why cant **** ever just be easy

Borg Warner sxe300 62 65 14 turbo :)
I cant expect to pull 47psi with 7x009 injectors and a waste gate bouncing open. It may not pull numbers like your setup but I know it hasn't been givin a chance yet

Borg Warner sxe300 62 65 14 turbo :)
Got some around town stop light to light. What I like is my driving habits didn't have to change. If it spools slower than the hy35 it's just barely. I run very light footed on the throttle and spool is almost immediate leaving a light. Once lit it spools about as fast as I push the throttle. What I like is the mean sounding whistle under deceleration the hy didnt do that. You can also here lots of filter noice under the hood not sure I like that. Havent got on it again to see what max boost is. But definitely seems to drive alittle quicker. Freeway temps are 700-850ish at 75mph bout the same as the hy35 that's about 1800 1900rpm. Need to lock down the waste gate for temporary right now its opening alittle under all throttle conditions. This is a short actuator turbo wich means the oil return line is in the same spot as the actuator and they both cant live in thecsame spot. Ohhh I did turn smarty timing down from 4 to 2. Looking forward to towing to see what kind of temps itl push, driving around like I normally do empty there's no warning signs of high temps Have a couple house clearances and alot of dirt to move so I'll probly do a quick turn buckle or fab a bracket and jamb waste gate closed. Since it's going to take a fair amount of doing to reinstall actuator . Mike I think youd like this turbos manners it really does spool quick. Hopefully I can pull some decent grades with out peddling off temps. Fingers crossed.

Its dumping psi cause I dont have a waste gate actuator or a solid method to hold waste gate closed. Gita figure out how to get actuator mounted up. Ughhhh Definitely not a bolt on install. I'll probly have weeks into this FUBARED mess Mike's just quick to see it not work out. Did get her to work. Been on the trailer alot lately

Borg Warner sxe300 62 65 14 turbo :)
Drives damn near the same as stock but pulls noticably harder in the middle. I'm building 34is psi then I think my waste gate bandaid blows open and boost falls or I have a leak. Definitely drives well down low. I'm impressed No idea on temps yet. While napping I decided I need to build waste gate actuator bracket to go around return tube line and move actuator back to clear same line. Just needed to sleep on it and stop working on it to figure it out.

Coming along. Turbo is clocked. Stainless diesel intercooler pipe could be a fuzz taller but does work. Waste gate vacumn line needs to be longer. Yada all small stuff. Turbo is massive compared to hy35. Took a breather after fighting with the oil return line. Ughhhh Took a nap c ad me back removed waste gate actuator installed oil drain line fabbed down pipe. Gota hold waste gate closed somehow and fire it up. Ughhhh again it's almost time to go to work. Well shes driveable. Drive to grab coffee appears to be building boist slightly later than hy35 starts whistle a deep whistle at 1500 rpms. Its promising I was worried it wouldnt build pressure down low. Going to have to figure out waste gate. It just doesn't live well with oil return. This must be a short actuator. Ughhhhhh. Bout to hit the freeway see if temps are same. Around town driving slow temps seem low. Trucks also alittle quiter maybe alittle more air noise at idle. More mellow sounding.

Drafting wasnt enough
Yeah lesson learned. I'm riding up a turbo inlet fitting at the hydraulic supply place. Maybe do turbo tonight. Mike I was getting no where near 18 in the head wind. Lol Currently 14 deg in boise

Tie rod ends
Vacumn pump will function but still leak motor oil

Tie rod ends
I bet your trucks driving much better . Always feels good to make it nice again. You might do a vacumn seal kit and replace steering pump in one wack if truck has alot of miles. I'm not sure I'd mess with rebuilding a steering pump I did my vacumn seal and didnt put a new pump on now I'm dumping atf in my pump ever couple hundred miles. Check to make sure it's not hose or fitting that's easily fixable if it is in fact the pump that's leaking upgrade it https://www.thoroughbreddiesel.com/800328/

Driveabilty issues and codes p0216 and p0382
Tractor man is right on. My truck ran fine at 4psi idle. Though I was scared so I did fuel system. Would be curious to hear more on gear inside the vp44 that pushes fuel over the 14psi port. So much information out there on these trucks.

Sweet I'm watching for a core. I'd love to have you build one.

That's what I thought. Your build sheet has kevlar bands listed . The relief valve is slick

Cold fluid 47re 2nd gear starts
2nd gear starts seem to be resolved. Took me a couple weeks but I got it. Now I can do the turbo Didnt get much chance to test her out today shes being yanked from job to job Adding a few pics. To bad you never seen these billett parts hidden in tranny.

Cold fluid 47re 2nd gear starts
First drive across town. No 2nd ur 3rd gear starts 2-3 shift seems quicker. U have not drove it over 1/4 throttle. Headed back to shop after dropping of paper at morgage office. It do think it bumps into gear from at stand still not sure though. Fingers crossed no more issues Havent had issues running more than 55psi since rebuilding a few years ago. 3rd locked to overdrive 4th locked is quicker that's for sure changed. Shifts quicker than I can hit the button. Cruising at 80 trans temps at 80 86 90-100 for well put together tranny is nothing at idle.
