  1. I'm pretty sure my truck owns me. It keeps saying please drill 2-3 shift port. I'm like shut up I'm done with you for now
  2. Just get out the tape and set toe and go. Make the steering wheel centered to. Theres only castor and toe adjustments and its super easy to do yourself. . Then chalk the tire tread drive straight on a paved rd and see if there's any abnormal weat pattern. Also chalk tires to set air pressure and get 100% of tread on the rd Or close.
  3. I never did mod the valve body. Thought about tig welding, jb weld and just didnt do it. I'd like to lock second with break switch to unlock while towing 10k machine stop light to stop light. 3rd wouldnt ve needed then.
  4. I agree. Dynamic uses his plate his mods, sorsed springs who knows what all else. It's a dynamic tuned valve body hes putting together what hes found to work over years of experience. A regular garage guy can tune a valve body and buying a shift helps him do it. I've only dealt with transgo. And dont have anything bad to say. However I'm always wanting to learn more. There are mods I didnt do mods explained in other kits. Mods for stock trannys to ones built similar to mine. My build is just a basic build around a daily driven truck that tows. Extra clutches bands that arent kevlar most the billett stuff stock ratio lever. Upgraded this and that that I cant remember. The valve body is the heart all blood runs from it spreads throughout the veins I feel just upping pressure and forming shifts even on a stock tranny is a huge upgrade. The stuff in dynamics head is worth its weight in gold. I have years in learning the 47re and feel I've barely scratched the surface. And still feel that I have no clue.
  5. Well funny story so last week did the pan grabbed my inch lb. Wrench to set rear band and front and finally quit messing with my tranny. Come to find out every tooth is stripped in the tourge wrench. How in the hell did that happen. Set band by feel fuming. Dont touch front band. Come to find out Crystal my better half decided to tourge her lug nuts with it. I asked here what she set the wrench to response I dunno. 2 adapters to go from 1/4 to half.. So I walk here to bench, use this big long wrench set it here to about 85-100 I dont really care what. Please reset it to zero when done. Yesterday dropped the ppe pan used my new wrench, looked at TV stop for alittle bit, have it set right pushing g on the valve at idle eas curious because cable goes half passed ball at idle. Guess I dont k oi whay the right setting is. I wanna push the valve. If the TV cable had it's way it wouldnt ve pushing the valve at idle or even very low throttle. I ran the seat back and forth pushing the throttle watching it. At wot it doesnt quite push the valve all the way in. Maybe 1/16-1/8 I dunno I'm done messing with it.
  6. I try to keep it under 12.5 accasionaly I gone over 1400 for a split second. Lift pump at 10psi is alittle low to me. I idle at 20 cruise at just barely under 20 empty and pull grades around 15-18.. A stock truck will be going slow up most grades with any kind of decent weight.
  7. 10/4 Thought maybe you would think better of one shift kit over another. I dont think I'd do the work that's being done in this thread without doing a shift kit. Something the normal guy can do
  8. Sold my superchips f4 today. Guy that bought it took it for a test drive and loved it right away. now if I get rid of the smarty I'd be able to just about afford the quad.
  9. Yeah. My but dyno isnt sure theres a change between sw# or just tourge, time duration numbers. That's why I'm going to drop to sw3 and see Though I'm towing today so I'll drop timming back to 2 so it's a screwy day for but dyno runs.
  10. Moparman. The auto ranch in mtn home has some of the worst mechanics in the country. ASE Certified means nothing. There are a few good mechanics in mtn home and they certinaly do not work at the dodge dealer. 20 years ago tod McCurry ran a good business but that's no longer the case.
  11. Wheres this information you've uploaded. I've not had a manual of any kind. 47re manual would be very usefull. Thank you for sharing it
  12. That's what I believe to but not everyone feels the same. Sw# with revo settings does not matter. Only torque timing and duration mater. When changing settings from default sw# settings. However I did think that sw# 6 compared to 9 did feel different but then I'm not sure. If its different it's way less noticable than comparing tm5 to tm6.
  13. When it comes to suspension steering stuff stepping into offroad road world gives good results for me. Pirate, coloradok5, and I'm sure other offroad based forums would be good for gathering info I have not tried the cure yet on my truck but mine isnt near as bad as In that video. But my jeep is and has a mini copy of the second gen steering. The cure helped it alot. Though it just sits in the driveway
  14. That is badass . I like that you got rid of the HC sig on the bumper
  15. I'd put these in. They're from the offroad world. One on each side. To kee pl everything from rolling https://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/R1768.html
  16. Been on sw9 tm5 t3 d5 Came from sw6 same settings I think maybe it pulls harder down low but not sure Planning to go another few days and drop to sw3 same settings and see if I notice a difference.
  17. Could he drill the lock up, aswell as 1-2 ports in the plate. And run stiffer springs. I know your not big on shift kits but would you recommend one to raise pressure and firm shifts up. Maybe shoot for 120 or so locked.
  18. Did you brake a rotor bolting it on. Curious of your outcome. My old man was given the wrong rotor for his dually and snapped it with the impact. He was just doing a brake job not upgrading anything
  19. Mopar man what are you talking about. You did a performance tune based on your already established economy tune. I have no problems tapping g the pump I'll get 9ne of those nifty pump covers. If I can do all this tunning on my phone im game I haven't had a real live computer for years. Can the cheaper not iquad be programmed with a phone? I honestly could care less about engine load and efficiency. I just want to yank horses and equipment around. And not have a wierd Power curve. I'd like to cap myself at 400 maybe slightly under 400. Ohh I wanna run cool. I now know it can run cooler well at least not pegging 1500 everytime I tow a grade. I crossed a scale today at 9400lb just to see.. actually thought i was just over 10. That's my light weight. I'm just rambling trying to talk myself out of buying a quad for now
  20. Do you a quad tune that makes power. Idle to 2200? Do you a quad tune that makes power. Idle to 2200?
  21. My 1ton has 3.55s and I run 35" tires I cruise at 1800rpm at 70mph. I have no lack of power. Your truck sounds similar to mine when its factory I injectors were plugged up. On the freeway I was lucky to get any kind of decent fuel mileage also lucky to get up 70 and maintain it. I now have 100hp injectors boost fooler then added a tunner. Now it has gobs of power can cruise at any speed I want on most all grades I pull. And gets alot bettet fuel mileage. It's now a fun truck to drive power on demand when needed
  22. Possibly, 17-18 all the time on a truck that tows and empty weighs 10k is not bad. It's the weird curve I dont like.
  23. I'm also for not messing with having stock injectors checked. They're a wear part replace them. Aswell as locking waste gate closed. I control boost with my right foot. I ran 7x09 injectors for a few years with no boost fooler on computer end. Added a quadzilla boost fooler recently and holy shot. Boost went from just over 20 to 35+ instantly and egts went down noticably
