  1. I will probably drop my tire size back down to a 265 when these are done. Probably next fall.
  2. I would try a Cummins crank sensor. I tried an aftermarket map sensor ONCE. Kept having issues. Dropped in a Cummins map and no more problems.
  3. If you don’t use the truck on a regular basis and it’s not your DD I could see it not being at the top of your list of things to get. But if you use it regularly especially for hauling and your planing on upgrading things eventually like injectors and a turbo. I would definitely put it at the top of my list. The truck in general will run so much better. If it does only save you say 2 miles per gallon a 35 gallon tank that’s 70 more miles. Depending on fuel prices where you live that will add up. Fuel where I live is getting close to $4 a gallon. Will probably hit $5+ by summer thanks to the Senile and Chief. It will pay itself off. Commanding fuel and how much at the proper time makes a big difference.
  4. I would include a Quadzilla. It will outperform the powerpuck by leaps and bounds. By making a good tune you will get better fuel mileage. No smoke. And all around better driveability loaded or unloaded. I used to have a power puck. You will get a fair amount of smoke from it with the RV275 injectors until you build enough boost. Less fuel economy. Diesel is only going to go up in price thanks to our fearless leaders.
  5. Ok that makes sense. The wastegate opening helps pull more exhaust out through the turbine side.
  6. This is probably a dumb question but how does an open wastegate add flow if its blowing the air out the exhaust pipe?
  7. So in laymans terms it’s not possible for them to coexist smoothly below 1500?
  8. Is it possible for the Quadzilla to cancel the light load advanced at say 1,500 rpm and below? Meaning can it be done with the ECM and Quad not fighting each other? Updated software?
  9. 5.56 green tip will go through 1/4” plate of steel.
  10. There’s an abundant supply of whale blubber in Washington DC!
  11. So you blew past 25psi? Well that’s a good thing! Lol Wait till you get those new injectors in!
  12. Which of your sensor warnings do you have on? If you romped it hard and let of with your wastegate wired shut your boost pressure may have shot up when you let off?
  13. That would be another nice feature.
  14. Anything below 55mph especially in town driving. I keep OD off. EGT’s and engine load is much lower. 45mph EGT’s float around 400-500 degrees. Plus the exhaust break is more efficient. The truck will also buck in overdrive at those slower speeds.
  15. Did you notice faster rpm’s?
  16. Try starting at 13 and see if you notice anything different with take off, engine load and EGT’s. Mine starts at 13 and just recently switched from 4 degrees from each band to 5. It pulls harder and EGT’s are down. I plan to use this as a tow tune only changing my timing reduction from 1 to 3. For spool up.
  17. Try 13 18 23 28 29 low psi 5 40%
  18. What are all your timing parameters set at?
  19. I found bolting the turbine housing on by its self makes it much easier to bolt to the exhaust manifold flange. Then bolt the cartridge and compressor housing on.
  20. Do you still have the compressor housing on the HX still together? If so I’d lay them side by side and go from there. That’s how I did my hybrid. AKA Okie engineering.
  21. My point exactly. They want us peasants driving battery operated coffins and car pool in commercial airliners. All while they are chauffeured around in their” gas guzzling” SUVs , limos or whatever and flying with one or two people in their private jets.
  22. Exactly! While they drive their SUV’s and fly in their private jets.
  23. “Climate change “ is BS! Unless you’re talking about fall, winter, spring and summer.
