  1. No reset needed. You should be able to switch on the fly. Not sure what the problem is with yours.
  2. When I did mine, I used a stack of fender washers and a nut that threaded onto the stud and an impact to pull the studs through. Oil everything up so the washers slide on each other. Worked like a charm.
  3. Great to hear. Congrats on the good news!
  4. No heat shield on mine either. No issues with it.
  5. Not cheap but I've been tossing around the idea of upgrading to these at some point, but I still need tranny, injectors, headstuds, ect, ect
  6. Pfft, I have almost a 200ish difference between my Glowshit gauge and the Quad. If given enough time the Glowshift one will catch up a little but still a difference. I just figured the quad gauge just responded faster. Never really thought more of it. Just figured the Glowshift one was junk...
  7. That sux. I didn't see anything in the reviews about that issue so I'm sure its not a frequent event (people tend to write reviews about bad experiences more than the good ones). I hope its just a mix-up on their part.
  8. When you go to buy something from there you can usually find a 5% off code on the internet if you search for it. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle!
  9. The new brakes fixed it.
  10. Yeah, I was just making it visual for him. Here, I even got you a 5% discount code to use. 107403719101734119
  11. They have them at Rock Auto for 4 wheel ABS Dually 2WD
  12. Hmm... Time for some Google Fu!
  13. I wish my truck had the floating rotor style front brakes...
  14. Maybe I got your stud? Brake change is done. Truck brakes much better now. During my break-in I drove around and watched the mirrors. While up there is a little shaking even just idling. It's not really noticable unless you're starring at the mirrors. It's more vibration and not so much shaking. Its more like the whole truck vibrating because I can feel it in the arm too. Like I mentioned before, it's not noticable unless you're starring at them. I would definitely recommend them to anyone interested in a nice tow mirror. Plugs right in and heat and power adjust still works like stock.
  15. I'll take the truck for a long test drive today (after the brake work is done) with the mirrors flipped up and verify still no shake before everyone spends money on them. Its been about 6 months since I installed them and I usually don't drive with them in the up position unless I'm towing (which isn't very often). A note on the installation of these: There isn't much thread to get the nuts on the studs. One of them I had to unscrew the stud out so I could get the nut on it. I got about a thread or two by hand and then used a wrench to tighten them down and pull the metal plate and mirror tight to the door. It's a hefty backing plate so it don't bend, and holds it all super tight.
  16. Speaking of brakes, mine dives to the right with braking and has done it since I got it a year ago. I replaced everything under the front end except ball joints **shudders at the thought** and it still does it (I replaced the steering parts to fix steering wander more than the brake issue). Going to get new brakes, rotors, and hub assembly today. Hopefully that fixes it. BTW, that's a good idea about the IR gun.
  17. Mine are power/heated and and $143
  18. Nope, no shake. I was a little hesitant buying cheap mirrors but so far so good. I did have one issue with one of the mirrors. One of the studs that screw into the mirror then goes through the backing plate was a little too short to get the nut on. I had to unscrew the stud a little so it would be longer. Even with the stud unscrewed a little from the mirror there is still no shake while driving.
  19. These are the ones that I got. They have the backing plate included. No shakes except when I close the doors.
  20. Mine was. It came flashed with V2. I just installed it, downloaded the app to my phone and downloaded a tune from here and connected to my phone and away I went. Easy Peasy!
  21. If it was me, I'd send it back to DAP especially if I just bought it. You can flash it yourself but it can be a pain to do sometimes. It don't always want to connect to the computer. If you're not real computer savvy then I'd definitely send it back and have them do it. Otherwise you're going to be even more upset than you already are... To flash the box you need to connect it to your computer. It's different than just downloading a tune with your Android device.
  22. Sounds like your android device isn't connecting to the Quad. Are you seeing a box pop up with a yellow line going across as it loads the tune? Are you seeing any readings from any of the gauges? Under vehicle selection you should have V2 Dodge 1998-2002 selected. If your Android device isnt connected to the IQuad BT then you wont be able load any tunes and you wont feel any difference in power level because you wont be able to change any of the levels of the tune.
  23. The Quad will retain whatever was loaded last. So you can load a tune to the Quad and then never connect the phone back up and it will retain that tune. The problem is when you first connect it back up it puts in whatever is loaded on your phone or tablet. So if your phone dies (like mine just did) and you get a new phone and you just install the app on it and connect it to your Quad then you will basically set it back to default tune (what ever is loaded in the app). The way around that would be to install the app and download the tune that is currently on your truck and set it up the same way as what's on your truck all before connecting the new device to your Quad. Essentially, every time you connect your phone it initializes all the settings to what ever is currently on your phone.
  24. I just don't understand how the EGTs went so high by just increasing the boost. He stated the only thing he did was modify the wastegate to get higher boost. The lift is the same, the big tires are the same, the injectors are the same, the tune is the same, just more boost. Unless there was something else changed between the low EGTs and higher EGTs (different tune or something).
  25. If you were getting 700-800 EGTs and 20 psi boost before messing with the wastegate and now your EGTs are 1100 with 30 psi boost without changing anything else then boost leak sounds like a good place to start.
