New Headlights for Big Blue
Thanks, I'll take a look. I didn't see an adjustment for the lights but @Mopar1973Man filled me in. If you can swing the extra money for them then I highly suggest getting them. You won't be disappointed.

New Headlights for Big Blue
I was able to get the plug re-pinned and now my high/low is correct. Just got back from a drive and the new lights are AMAZING! Nice cut-off line and it looks to be aligned correctly and since I don't see a way to adjust them, I hope they are correct. Here's some pics. Low beams. Nice and wide. No critters are sneaking up on me now... High beam (aka Insta-daylight) Low beam High beam If you are on the fence about these lights, I highly suggest them. They are on the expensive side but so far, they are worth every penny. Just my Hey @Mopar1973Man did you get your ballasts and other things for these tidied up? I just have them zip-tied for now till I can find a good permanent home for them. Now I need some new fog lights. I turned them on while driving and you couldn't even see them with these.

New Headlights for Big Blue
Thanks, I've been researching while laying in bed and that seems to be the general consensus. I will swap them when feeling better. I have 3 more days off. Got one from AZ. Looked up the part number and sent the wife to go pick it up. All works good now. Next up is new headlights for my wife's JK. Thinking of going with these in the stock housing. The pattern mimics the stock pattern, just brighter. Look pretty good.

New Headlights for Big Blue
Well, I put my big-boy pants on and took some Dayquil and pulled the truck into the garage today to put the headlights in. I just couldn't laydown and relax knowing that those lights were waiting for me to put in. It went ok. I had some trouble getting the first headlight out. I got the 3 screws out around the housing but it still wouldn't come out. It felt like there was another bolt or something up behind the turn signal and when I looked at the new housings it looked like there was a bolt there. Well after messing with it for a while and some creative name calling I just grabbed it and pulled and low and behold it just pulls out. There is some kind of clip that the bolt looking thing pushes into... After figuring that out the install and the other side R and R went pretty smooth. I also bought some of the flashback leds for the turn signals too. After getting it all installed and plugged in I turned on the lights. 2 problems, first the high and low beams are backwards and second the one flashback wasn't working. So I pulled out the drivers side light to switch around the turn signal and WOW, it was all I could do to pull that little bolt thing back out of that clip. After pulling and pulling and wiggling and cussing I finally got it. Swap the bulb and all is good. Now I just need to figure out the high/low issue and get all the wires and ballasts secured. I just snapped a couple of pics while it was sitting outside. I can't wait to see how they look while driving... Oh, one other issue, I needed to get a new flasher since I was getting hyper-flash now. Low beam high beams Low beam Now, time for a hot shower and some Fireball and back to bed...

New Headlights for Big Blue
Life is cruel. I think I finally lost the Flu-Roulette game that was going on at my house. Here are the headlights I got. Sorry, no install pics yet. I decided to go with the Retroshop kit because I wanted ease of install and by the time you figure in the prices this kit isn't too far off from retro fitting your own or even the sport upgrade. $575 for the basic kit that I got, no extras and only the H1s, compared to... New housings from Amazon - about $100 HID parts - about $300 Time and effort to retro fit the bulbs/projectors - ??? or Sport Upgrade package - $190 harness and relays - $150 I don't know, for me, I think its worth it to spend the extra coin to get a complete set that you know is going to work great and without having to put in the extra effort to make something work. When I emailed Retroshop and asked how long to get a set made he said 2 weeks. I debated just getting some housings and a HID kit and doing my own but decided just to order these and hope my headlight lens lasted. I ordered the kit on the 21st and 2 days later to my surprise I got an email that my order had shipped . I emailed Jeremy back and told him thanks for getting them out so fast (I had told him I was kinda in a bind with mine falling apart). Now, I'm going back to bed.

Odd idle
Sounds like my truck but I know I have bad injectors because my engine load at idle is 4-5% and 900rpms. Injectors and headstuds are on the list next once the winter rains stop and the weather turns a little nicer.

I actually had every intention of getting clear housings and building my own retros but with this new development I'm kind of in a bind and need to get something that was an all-in-one kit and/or a ready to install kit. A lot of decisions went into this choice but time and ease of install were 2 of the biggest now.

New Headlights for Big Blue
I guess you get what you pay for... Unfortunately, I didn't pay that much for my lights but I'm sure they'll be a much better headlight than the crappy yellowed ones that are on there now. New ones are supposed to be here Monday but I don't have a day off till Wednesday. $1000, YIKES!

- New Headlights for Big Blue
I came out of work a couple of days ago and saw my passenger side headlight lens was just hanging by the rubber strip. I've been wanting to get new headlights but with all the choices I've been a little overwhelmed. I know I didn't want just cheap Amazon lights (no offense to those that went that route) and I wanted more than just new housings with the same bulbs. Do I get sport headlights? Do I pay $$$ and get retros? Well, with this new development I guess I didn't have time to debate the issue any longer. My new lights have been ordered and should be here soon. Stay tuned to find out what I got and how they work... I'm so excited- Front brake pad life, auto trans
Just looked it up on Wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boones_Ferry- Front brake pad life, auto trans
I know of Boone's Ferry Rd but didn't put 2 and 2 together. Pretty cool. Edit: I had to look it up. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boones_Ferry- Electrical Gremlins (CCD Data Bus Issues)
There is a fuse panel in cab on left side of dash and also under the hood. Those are the only 2 locations that I know of. If you checked all the fuses in those locations then I guess that isn't the issue.- Electrical Gremlins (CCD Data Bus Issues)
If you arc'd something the first thing I'd do is start checking fuses. Chances are you popped one.- High Idle Delay Setting and Warm Up Mode Setting on the Quad
I use the Quad for high idle. My settings are So the truck will stay Lvl 0 (Stock) till 170F and the high idle won't kick in for 120 seconds. For the quad to engage high idle it has to be at Lvl 0. If I'm going to be parked somewhere and leave the truck on I can set the Quad to Lvl 0 and after 2 mins the high idle will kick in even though the coolant temp may be we over 170F.- I need some help from a member for the wife
No worries, when I get my new camper these will make a good addition to it.- I need some help from a member for the wife
I hope no one wanted the "Rocky Shoreline" coasters because they're mine!- Old girl got a quad and other goodies
Yes. Even custom tunes have different levels. They all follow the same format: Lvl 0 = Stock Lvl 1 = Valet (set to some decreased power) Lvl 2 = Timing only Lvl3 = Timing and Canbus fueling Lvl4 and up is wiretap fueling- Old girl got a quad and other goodies
Maybe you got a bad Quad. Might want to give them a call Monday if you don't get it figured out.- Old girl got a quad and other goodies
I had an issue with my boost elbow not fitting. Returned it and got another from XDP and it wouldnt fit either. I got my tap and die set and made it fit. I emailed XDP and told them to check their stock, that I think they had some elbows incorrectly marked but I never really heard back other than the obligatory "thanks for your email" email...- Newbie, changed fuel filter today, have questions
First thing I did when I bought my truck is put in a new lift pump. I went with a FASS 165 at the recommendation of a friend. So far its been ok. Had an issue with the pressure fluctuating at first but solved that with a new return spring and viton check ball. 17psi at idle and 15psi at WOT. Now, if I had known then what I know now I probably would have gone with a mechanical fuel pump. More reliable with no electronics to worry about. They are both about the same price though. For gauges I went with Glowshift. I got a three gauge set and the A-pillar pod. Had them about a year and no real issues so far. The EGT gauge is slow to react and seems to be off compared to the Quadzilla EGT probe but so far the fuel and boost gauges seem to be ok. The good... they are cheap. The bad... they are cheap. I would like to get some ISSPro gauges once these bite the dust though.- Help Please
Hmmm. Check the trans fluid? Is it low, is it burnt, any particles? When was the last time the trans fluid and filter was done? Maybe have electronics in trans going out? Gov pressure selonoid, or transducer??? Hopefully someone more transmission savvy will report in...- Newbie, changed fuel filter today, have questions
Looks to me like previous owner just replaced that piece of line with some new fuel line. Not a "Big Line Kit". A big line kit will typically have not only bigger fuel line but also the connectors to eliminate the restrictive banjo bolts.- Crappy Mileage No Matter What Tune
