  1. I found a car for dripley and you can be incognito in it. He's selling it for chicken feed.
  2. No It is not necessary to deck the block.
  3. You bet I get ammo along with TVs, no recycling fees, and solvents like MEK and xylene. Also 12 OZ cans of 134A refrigerant with no $10/can deposit. California government puts a $10 core charge on every can and will gladly keep it if you don't return the can in 90 days. Is that where you found your outfit?
  4. Two days and three nights. https://www.nps.gov/lavo/index.htm 6hr drive from there to Bridgeport and a stop at the Gardnerville Walmart for last minute things that you can't buy in California.
  5. This fall we may be starting at Lassen Volcanic National Park then through Susanville and Reno to Bridgeport, CA.
  6. In conjunction with the W-T ground wire mod you might want to do this also. PCM Ground Splice Repair - Electrical - Mopar1973Man's Dodge Cummins Forum https://mopar1973man.com/cummins/articles.html/24-valve-2nd-generation_50/51_engine/electrical/pcm-ground-splice-repair-r675/
  7. Your luck that's all you heard. I've been hearing whispers in the night. "I'm from the government and I'm here to help"
  8. It was probably that bat crazy she witch flying by.
  9. I've seen manufactures use parts from the previous year to use up those parts then change to new style. The fuse is there to protect the wire between the load and power source. Since the load is diminishing you can leave the 5 amp fuse in. Think of it this way, there is a 20 amp circuit in your house (12 AWG) and you will only have a 60watt light on that line. Would you go and replace the breaker to 15amp? No.
  10. I had rabbits and mice eating the wire in the engine compartment of a Volvo stored here for my granddaughter. I did two things: first i sprayed the engine compartment with a light mist of Critter Ridder, next I propped the hood open just 3½" with a piece of 2X4 on it's side. No more problems. The Critter Ridder smells like cloves. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Havahart-Critter-Ridder-II-32-oz-Ready-to-Use-Animal-Repellent-3145-2/206051392?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&mtc=Shopping-B-F_D28O-G-D28O-28_1_CHEMICALS-NA-NA-NA-SMART-NA-NA-SMART_SHP&cm_mmc=Shopping-B-F_D28O-G-D28O-28_1_CHEMICALS-NA-NA-NA-SMART-NA-NA-SMART_SHP-71700000059845719-58700005436056249-92700049554889054&gclid=CjwKCAjwlYCHBhAQEiwA4K21mx13bq8emmHeVXhQuiIyb_mjog2rCOhXzDXftsrymSvS1PjyHM9lEhoCkkUQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  11. Remove the dog house and inspect for rodent damage; they love to eat vacuum lines and wires. High idle no more than 2k RPM. How much fuel additive do you add each time with the gallon of gas? How big is the fuel tank? Can you pump out all the fuel in the tank, say 5gal. at a time, burning the old fuel in the car then fill then fill the RV with fresh?
  12. A P0216 VP44 Fuel Injection Pump Timing Failure code would pop up.

  14. I'd check: power from the left battery to the PDC in the PDC check fuse #2 (30 amp) and #10 (50 amp) power in (pink/black and red wires) and out of the ignition switch connector C134 under left side of dash.
  15. I'd have to say no, I don't think so. I shipped my transmission to him for a rebuild from San Marcos, CA
  16. 12 gallons is 3 oil changes so hold on to that oil. It has a shelf life of 5 years before the additive package goes bad and the price of oil is only going to go up. Glade for you that it got sorted out. If anything, you got intimate with your truck, did some major work along with rust prevention and found 5 out of 6 mechanics can't diagnose an oil leak.
  17. Ship the valve body to @Dynamictrasnsmissions. (503) 880-5451
  18. A torque wrench is needed when working on aluminum alloy engines. Over tightening will pull the threads out. There are 2 ways to find a vacuum leak at the intake manifold/gasket. With the engine running spray the intake manifold/gasket with carb cleaner. When the carb cleaner is sprayed on to the damaged area it is sucked in and will cause the engine to stumble. With the engine running using a 5/16-3/8 hose about 3' place one end of the hose in your ear and run the other end over the manifold. You will her a sucking sound when the hose goes over a damaged area. Using a hose like this can also be used to find a bad bearing in a water pump, alternator, etc.

  20. I'll plan a five week/seven thousand mile trip pulling the fifth wheel at 60-65 MPH and love every minute. The truck is not a daily driver and just turned 123K. I need the microwave working so I can heat up the apple pie to go with ice cream.
  21. Misfire #6 cylinder. Does it feel like it's running on 5 cylinders? Bad wire/connector to #6 coil over, vacuum leak at intake manifold or #6 runner, low compression at #6 cylinder. A vacuum leak could set another code of running to rich. Next time instead of replacing parts switch the part, like the coil over (COP), with the cylinder next to it then see if the problem moves to it.
  22. 25 PSI is to low. MY truck has a stock HX35 with a cheap manual boost controller and it produces 30 PSI.
  23. A bunch of YOU TUBE videos about RV generators https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=rv+generators+for+travel+trailers I have a cheap ($200 at Big Lots) 2300 watt generator in the front of my 5er. I just don't turn the AC on when using the microwave. Here's a list, from Lilac Resort, of power usage for equipment in RVs.
