  1. These are the deflectors I'll probably get, I had the glue on before but after dealing with them coming loose and regluing them to the door then later trying to get that glue off. no more. https://www.weathertech.com/dodge/2000/ram-truck-2500-3500/side-window-deflectors/bodystyle/quad-cab/
  2. I installed an LMC dash in January; not hard to install and fit like a glove. Watch there video for how to but I did mine like dripley did by dropping the upper steering column and letting the steering wheel rest on the seat, removing the screws that are next to the windshield, remove the screws that hold the vents to the dash. loosen the bolts on the sides and pivot the dash. The top of my lower dash assembly started to brake also so I used generous amounts of JB Weld Quick to reinforce the weak points. Install new dash pad, screw vents to pad, rotate dash to fire wall, screw dash to fire wall tighten side bolts and refit steering column. Note: for trucks with auto transmissions remove the cable for the trans position indicator from the steering column before lowering the column to prevent braking it. That's because chickens are color blind.
  3. NO, in the above wire diagram the wire from terminal 87 of the starter relay does not go through the ADS rely but gives it power when starting and the FSM does not show the ADS relay in the starter circuit at all so remove that from the diagram. Check your ignition /starter switch and the wires going from it along the steering column, they are known to go bad where the steering column tilts. For the starting circuits run the tests below. Check for voltage at starter relay terminal 30 with key in the off position. If no voltage check fuse #2 (some years #9) in PDC, if yes go to #2, Check for voltage at starter relay terminal 86 with key in start position. If no voltage check starter switch and by pass jumper. if yes go to #3, With transmission in park ohm test between starter relay terminal 85 and ground. If meter reads OL ohms (open circuit) check wires going to PNP switch and switch, if meter reads 0 ohms go to #4 Check voltage to starter motor with key in start position. If no voltage check relay or wire from PDC to starter solenoid.
  4. You're right, if I was giving the surface area of the filtration media. Before people started using BHAFs they would drill holes in the bottom of the stock air filter assembly to increase surface area and air flow to the air filter material in the box. The data I supplied is the size of the side opening of a BHAF assembly the air flows through to the filtration media along with length and diameter information. If some one has high boost numbers they may want to use a filter with a larger area opening for greater air flow where a stock engine would be fine with a smaller area. The filtration surface area does very from between manufactures as well as standard vs premium filters of the same brand. The manufactures of filters do not readily make surface area information available. So, this info will be slow in coming as people cut the media out of an old filter and measure the actual media on a flat plane not all folded up in pleats and report their findings.
  5. How to find the vertical surface area of a cylinder 2 π R H How to find the total surface area of a cylinder 2 π R H+ 2 π R²
  6. Surface area of the BHAFs in the article: 12.38"h x 8.5"d = 330.59 in² 10.50"h x 10.5"d = 346.35 in² ~ 04% larger than #1 11.88"h x 10.5"d = 391.87 in² ~ 18% larger than #1 ~ 13% larger than #2
  7. The eraser wheel works with frictional heat. I did not use a heat gun but did find the side of the truck heated by the sun and a hair dryer helped it go faster on the stubborn spots. The heat softens the adhesive.
  8. Before I sent my truck off for body and paint work I took all the rain deflectors, moldings badges and decals off. I tried Goof Off and Goo Be one to get the adhesive off. It took me about an hour to take the adhesive from the right door rain gutter off. I thought " this sucks, there's got to be and easier way"; went to a body shop to find out how they did it. 3M strip off wheel. I bought one from Amazon Prime for the next day delivery. The left door rain gutter adhesive removed in 3 minutes and about 5 minutes to do that black decal. Took about 2 hours to do the rest of the truck with no damage to the paint. Directions say to slowly move the wheel over the surface with the drill motor on low speed so not to burn the paint. There are other brands that are cheaper.
  9. I don't think you can get those connectors separately. You can make your own connection using insulated male and female spade connectors like I did below.
  10. I see it all the time. They can barely put gas in a car with out driving off with the hose still stuck in the side of the car and you want them to check their oil. God love them! It's people like that who pay my bills.
  11. Remember, Pope John Paul II was shot, in 1981, 4 times with a 9mm and it did not kill him. That was either Devine intervention or 9mm is not that lethal of a round compared to a .40 or .45.
  12. It is a .45. I have a 1911 and you've shot it at the Bridgeport range. It pack a punch but I find it a little to heavy to carry around.
  13. What year is your truck. Early 2ed gens may have a wire harness that looks like this at the alternator. Best to ohm test that wire to see if it is a ground or volt test if it power.
  14. I've seen @JAG1party. By 9PM you can stick a fork in him; his done.
  15. DANGER BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR Beaver Creek PD Use extreme caution if approached Known to cause emotional pain Can drain bank accounts over night
  16. Yes, a 4oz bottle should do it.
  17. I kept mine in because the Boss Lady doesn't want to here it ; says it's loud enough in the cab.
  18. I had replaced my crank sensor. I picked it up at O'Reillys. About a year later it coded again for the sensor. O'Reillys has a life time warranty on it so free to me. That was in May 2018 about 21K miles.
  19. Don't do it! You got what you paid for.
  20. Here is one place that has the OEM intake air hose. part number 53030294 https://store.mopar.com/2002-dodge-ram_3500-base-diesel_5.9_6-transmission_automatic_4-engine-air_intake-duct_53030294-item/ Other web sites are listing it as discontinued.
  21. Electrical gremlins are very elusive but can be very damaging. I've only seen one once when I quickly opened a hood. It was there one second and gone the next; never there long enough to pin down or be photographed. A police sketch artist drew this from my description. He said that he had heard of them but had no idea it was such a hideous creature.
  22. Happy that it did the trick for you. Looking forward to the pics.
