  1. I've been a mechanic for 50 years and running my mobile repair business since 1994 and learned: Your time is yours to sell. Give the customer the full measure but don't short change yourself. Work on it as if it was your own. If you're unfortunate to have a Keren or Keven as a customer don't be afraid to tell them to pi$$ off. They aren't worth the head ack and there is always someone better to take their place. Do like @JAG1recommends; set time aside for a holiday to decompress and enjoy life. 44

  11. About 20 years ago I was diagnosed (MRI) with a torn meniscus in my right knee. Doc said "I can clean that up by taking the damaged part out." Told him "I'll get back to you." After 6 months to a year, I don't quite remember, no pain and has never come back.. Now, my wife had a torn meniscus 'cleaned out' in one of her knees and later had to have the knee replaced. I had sciatica problems in my left leg along with a degenerating arthritic hip joint and needed a walking cain to get around. I had the hip replaced and no more problems.

  13. No not the injection pump, Check Pin 3 (vio/brn wire) and pin 11 (wht/blk wire) in the data link connector at the left bottom of dash.
  14. That boost elbow you have in the pic is stock so the waste gate is opening at about 18 PSI. The one I installed is set for a max of 30PSI on the HX35. It is from China, Tomtop.com, for about $6. Some other members ordered the part and never got them.
  15. I deleted my post because, after thinking more about it, your speedo still works and a problem with those wires/sensor would also effect it.

  17. You better stay out of Des Moines. Some "snowflake" might see it and complain to the state DMV that you're making fun of people with low I Qs then they will have to take the plate back because you offended someone. It happened here in California when someone had their initials JAPLTP on the plate.
  18. This is how Ford does it. The "I" terminal is not used in this application.
  19. Either the grid heaters are using more amps than the solenoid is rated for, the solenoid is defective or that solenoid is not up to the task.
  20. Both relays are rated for 300 amps. The difference beside how they look is the SS-598 is used in newer Fords and has the protective diode in it. I used the SS-581 relay in JAG1's truck in May of 2019 with no problems. When the switch is turned on is there 12+ volts to the "S" terminal of the solenoid? If no, then check for power from the fuse to switch and from switch to solenoid; repair as needed. If yes, then is there battery voltage to both large terminals of the solenoid? If yes, then solenoid is functioning correctly and the grid heater relays may need to be tested. If no, then check ground wire from solenoid body to grounding point; this can be done with an ohm meter. If open circuit, then repair ground. If ground circuit tests good, then replace solenoid.

  22. I did mine with the swivel lines and didn't have to pull the hvac box out. You have to work the lines through the fire wall as you drop the heat core in the box.
  23. I've had them for 16 years and never noticed a blind spot.
