  1. Intersting... Thanks John.
  2. I just bought a truck that had air bags with the goose neck hitch. They had the air bags that mount over the overload springs and the top air bag mount was welded to the goose neck reinforcement frame. If I remember right the upper air bag mount used the same bracket as if mounted to the side of the frame only it was welded to the G/N frame.
  3. I did not know there is a zirk fitting in that location... Or is that something you added custom?
  4. Woke up this morning 2:34 AM. moments later a faint sound throughout the house, wondering what it was, I went outside and it had just started raining after 57 continious days without . Checked back of truck for any items that shouldn't get wet or any windows left open. It's nice and cool, life is good and I hope the fires go out soon.. Dripley, did you have to moush 'em thru the catch basin grate to get rid of 'em.
  5. I don't know if you knew this or not but, Dripley, yer not supposed to plumb the sewer line into the parking lot catch basins. lol I have to go get a good come along and pull some logs out of the blackberries and cut them up. I need firewood and this one tree I dropped laying there, has about 3-4 cord in it.
  6. I think the smoke will clear later today Mike. When looking at the water Vapor tracking it shows Idaho affected by the marine air heading thru Idaho. Hoping anyhow. Dripley, you get some really magnificent thunderstorms out your way, I understand.
  7. I'd bet even Idaho is cooler today. Satilite picture shows a big push of marine air. We've needed this for at least a week as it's been very hot in Oregon too with smoke and humidity way up. Tough to sleep/work in that. This Sunday's coming rain will mark 57 days without rain is about average but I'm hoping it helps put out the fires burning all over the west.
  8. IBM mobile is in number 7 if others show up to find us.... his coffee good so that where we'll be. Looks like I'm going to have a site now. Originally, some of the talk about boondocking next door to the rv park put me off on making any reservation. Anyhow, any last minute show ups will have room next to me if I get a site as planned. My rig is very short. I mean my RV. lol.
  9. I will take it if you haven't canceled it. Sorry, I didn't see your post sooner. What number, if you haven't canceled Nick?
  10. I gotcha. Thanks for the explanation, A lot better than being in a confusenation..
  11. Cowboy, There must be something I don't understand... how is it that he should get a new pin when only the factory uses it during assembly? Are you saying he needs it to help line up the gears and afterward he should tab the KDP? I just don't understand.. are you saying line up the gears for timing to each other? I thought they had marks to go by. Thanks in advance.
  12. You don't need another KDP pin and the trans Hunts over the gears usually because of A/C voltage noise from an alternator going bad. Do search on this site to understand excessive AC voltage and how to test for it
  13. Listen to what Nick says he keeps a good track of the better ones to do business with.
  14. When looking for a truck I avoid anything that won't run or has been messed with and is not original. But then again I'm the guy that will pay probably too much when there is a real nice one. Which I just did 3 mos ago Then again..... I'm amazed how nice of a truck I found though
  15. I ran with the 0216 error code for quite a few years with the truck running smooth. It eventually leaves you stranded not knowing when/ where, So as soon as I got hard starts the VP was replaced I think the two stroke is a testament to able running longer on the 216 code.
  16. That's too bad they can't make it. Mike don't forget about IBMobile, he's making it. He set up my mystery switches on a relay system, was happy to pay him, he made it a great set up. We been meeting at camp trips a few times now. Just don't drink his coffee... you won't sleep a wink when evening arrives. We should try another meet up sometime in trees and shade not crowded Originally, I did not think there would be a crowd at this out of the way rv park.
  17. Tank vent is a one way flapper valve mounted near the fuel lines at the tank top. It faces the dirt flying up and is about 3/16'' orifice or plastic tube. It sometimes clogs up. Best to get a vented fuel cap or make yours vented.
  18. What's the copper coil in the background for? Very good welding, not hot or cold, just right.
  19. actually I was wanting to save that for you Mike. Pay for it you know...... but for now I just need to get some cooling going as it's the worse part of summer right now. What is and where is the 'dan hole? I'm ready to back blow the whole system thru a vent with my back pack blower as it's so hot with a black truck.
  20. My heater blower on the 2001 got cleaned and lubed tonight and blows much better also no longer has the funny vibration sound. However, not blowing as well as my 2002 with half the miles, I'm wondering if there is a strategic spot to cut out the plenum housing for access for cleaning. I'm not well versed on parts but I believe to be able to clean the evaporative cooler? is that right? Would be great. funny... I always thought that was near the radiator The blower was a quarter full of pine needles as was the cowel under the windshield so I know there is more yet to clean. I want cut out for future access T.I.A.
  21. Mike lays awake at night figuring ways to get his million miles out of it.
  22. Oh Man I'm so sorry and what a nice looking family of refined folks too.
  23. It's going to be a hot one today. 9:17 am and its 80 degrees already in the shade here in NW Oregon.
  24. That's it. I put in one on my 02 and its never been a problem. The talk was it stopped the shut down chirp as well. Thanks Jack Stand President
