  1. We would if it weren't for the green bean President we have. We do live near the largest hydroelectric Dam perhaps in the US. Bonnieville Power on the Columbia River. It's a huge dam that makes a beautiful lake behind it. There is an amazing bridge going over the lake called 'Bridge of the Gods'. We primarily heat with wood, sometimes use small room heaters.
  2. Our rates have been steady. They may be going up just a little. We pay about a monthly average of 110 bucks a month.
  3. Thank you wil440. We had a significant cool down yesterday and this morning is 52. That is the lowest we have seen in at least 2 months. Just started putting on a new roof on my house and these temps are helping by leaps and bounds on the ladder too.
  4. Sorry about your trans I hope its okay. @wil440, what is your holiday called over there? Ours on Monday, is called Labor Day as you probably know.
  5. Is your lift pump powered by the ECM which is the factory set it up? Lift pump can go bad and damage the ECM so everyone is powering off the battery for the L.P., using the ECM power lead to trigger a relay. Relay has to contain a protection diode so no excess load going back thru burning up the ECM. IBMobile is the one who originally pointed this out about the need for a protection diode in the relay.
  6. Weather is starting to cool in Oregon, taking on a new dynamic. Animated satilite picture shows signs of fall. So glad!
  7. It's so they can snicker and sneer at your your old Dodge that's still going with over 400 K miles. I know what 'POS' means wil440... I only wanted to hear in more literal terms lol!
  8. I come alive when cloudy and cool and wish I could cancel summer. It's just too hot for me. Mopar Man hides when its 111 degrees in summer.
  9. I got my firewood in
  10. When you buy from Mopar1973Man you are helping to support the site which is good. MoparMan also has the Timbo APPS which is far more reliable, no adjustment required for half the price of the factory unit.
  11. I still have mine from when the truck was 5 years old and only 34,000 miles, at the time I had a 2 in level kit put in and did not need those. Since then I went to a one inch level kit which is 10 times better BTW.
  12. Interesting anomaly... the pacific ocean right now has abnormally high water temperatures all thru the eastern Pacific. Possibly never seen to this extent, all up and down the Alaskan coastline, Canada, U.S. and Mexico. Predictions are that drought conditions continue thru Fall and winter.
  13. So far we broke records for being the hottest month ever and still got 7 days to go. Never seen native plants dried up and dying in the shade like I did yesterday. We sure do have climate change, sorry you guys, I am not a walking tax, spend piece of inflation legislation animal either. I know who's really in control. I try to say prayers each day/ night.
  14. John it is cool what you say. I think so much of the importance for higher inlet pressure was influenced by the many reports in diesel forums when a poster would post about lost fuel pressure, in my case dropped from 15 down to 3 psi and a short time after got the death code for the VP44, 0216 code and companion code of 1693. I think that in itself started everyone on a path to understanding properly lubricating and cooling the VP. A side note; I can say for sure that getting out and camping is an important aspect of life prior to winter setting in Everyone is invited to meet up, just let us know and you will be contacted by PM.
  15. Tractorman makes a good presentation and want to say that there are some good things have developed around the 19 p.s.i. inlet pressure concept worth noting. The idea of keeping the vp running cooler with more pressure/ volume, right or wrong, afforded more room to add some degree of needed restriction from a proper filtering system, in some cases, polishing of the fuel. Other benefits was the almost continued discovery of the in tank screens found clogged, creating the need to eliminating them all together, again supporting the need for correct filtering that properly collects the sediment without clogging by easily changing out every so often. Right or wrong, this goal of consistent higher inlet pressure prompted many to relocate the lift pump to the frame thereby eliminating the two poor locations of the factory lift pump. One was on the engine block constantly shaking and absorbing engine heat. The other was the location of the lift pump in the tank which is a terrible option for obvious reasons. Third was the relocation of the draw straw or relocation of the return fuel. Either way, allowed hot return fuel to cool before being sucked back into the already hot injection pump. So far we know higher inlet pressures haven't hurt anything and the side effects of this idea have become a benefit in many respects. I must be getting old, I needed a very strong cup of mud to write a simple paragraph!
  16. Put a lock on the fridge but, plenty of chili cheese freetose spread around.
  17. Since I did mine I find woman more charged up when near my truck.
  18. We were 95 yesterday. Keeping records starting 1890 of the number of days in each decade at 100 and above we have increased from an average of 1-3 days every decade to an average of 12 every decade. So far with less than 3 years into the new decade, of the 2020's, we have had 8 days already. Pretty convincing with these temperatures and droughts everywhere, we are seeing a drier and hotter planet. But, the Bible says in the last days not to be concerned over the 'whole Earth' like many will become during those times.

    Glad your home safe Mike
  20. JAG1 replied to Mopar1973Man's topic in Ford
How far did you get today Mike? Or maybe I should not be asking
  21. JAG1 replied to Mopar1973Man's topic in Ford
What was it, 105 degrees still at midnight or something? Like weather doesn't cool down at night. Uhaul is such a POS. You want to get a brand new truck from them if you can. I am sorry Mike that your having a bad time, I hope you get it resolved.
  22. Mopar Man ordered the biggest steak in the cafe. It covered the whole plate. When done inhaling it he acted like it was a snack and still waiting for the main course.
  23. I caused him do more than he thought I could, me at 70 years old. At one point he said, oh no, I'm done, no more but, I know he likes his recliner, WiFi and chili cheese Freetoes.
  24. It got to 95 around here yesterday. Feels like 110 at my age cutting hauling firewood. Got what would fill 2 large wheel barrows and had to quit. Each day our highs bounce 95 to 101 but, each night's lows are going higher. While cutting I noticed still a lot of ground moisture.
  25. Our health industry, not quite that bad, yet, is heading a bad direction as well. We hear more and more about major overcharges and scamming codes to cover up what the bill is really about. If you use your Medicare for a major surgery that costs lots of money Medicare can place a lien on your home and force you to sell the property. So in this sense it isn't insurance at all. Most doctors are just pill freaks participating in the huge pharma money flow. Many never bolstering the persons immune system health to solve the problem only to get as quickly as they can out of the appointment time involved with each patient. On the other hand our Agricultural industry is allowed to do things that continually compromise our immune systems, causing numerous cancers and other ailments across America. It is amazing the things farmers are forced to do in the wake of taxes and other direct/ non direct gov't expenses just so they can stay afloat. I am starting to raise our own food... maybe even get a cow name it 'MoparCow'
