Looming Economic Crash
Add to this that china is buying up our agricultural land and food processing plants, what's next...are they buying our leaders too? It's sad that no one wants to keep America strong, we are giving it away.

Looming Economic Crash
Interesting bit about the 3,000 to 10,000 cattle that died in Kansas. Cattle ranchers are saying it's not global warming as those temps happen often enough in Kansas and other states so they know cows can handle it usually loosing only one or two cows, Add that farmers know what to do to when a heat wave is coming. Most fed lots have cooling mist sprayers to help too. Now there is speculation that a possible terrorist has contaminated the feed sold around the state and after autopsy reports are in they are hoping to find what actually happened.

Looming Economic Crash
I am glad I drove to Scottsdale Arizona to see my Mother right before the increase in fuel. It was nice going all back roads spending 8 days on the road there and back. It was cool going in February. We are supposed to have a bad recession so say the experts. I am ready for it because I would rather go camping than work anyhow at my age but, people keep offering more money so I will work on their place. I'm a good contractor they all say. I have accomplished a lot in 43 years of it. Worse mistake I ever made was I got one little tiny speck of a piece of gravel underneath @IBMobile's new RV roof when I glued it down. By the end of the day it became a huge boulder under there, he was so crabby. No he wasn't crabby at all

Me and you are going to pay for it while they get so called contributions, other forms of payments from Rx companies.

Looming Economic Crash
I'm doing the same buying much less. I'm slowing down my driving taking the lead out of my foot. I got by on 9/10 gallons of fuel for almost 2 weeks and that's good, watching every trip how I can make each one count more. All I know is, I think your right... there is a lot of BS in the news, little to non existent support for any of the over blown headlines.

Looming Economic Crash
Is everyone holding their breath or are you battening down the hatch? So much confusion with market rallies this summer to drastic devaluations in housing etc. What's your thoughts? Mine is that the Government is in Disarray, does not want to work, is ineffective, dumping huge piles of debt on the the American people and heading for certain recession.

New places to camp
Too far for Glenn, Dave and Dan. For me it's not bad. I like to stopover in the Blue Mountains on the way to your place in New Meadows. I remember it was 103/105 degrees down in the valley. Exhausted from 3 days in the heat, google showed the Blue Mountains as the coldest place in summertime so I made a B line for the Blue Mtns and got down to 38 in the evening. It was a great relief and I'll never forget as the sun went down at 9pm the temps dropped to 55. It was wonderful and I finally slept.

It is amazing to think about how and what possible engineering they would had to have done.

Road trip to Denmark..... wednesday 1st June
Think how all the cuts need to change angles, the sides, top and bottom as it goes up to build the dome.

Road trip to Denmark..... wednesday 1st June
Wish I could take 145 years to do one job . Do you think the Marble blocks (cut so tight) are the main structure?
-
Road trip to Denmark..... wednesday 1st June
145 years to build... it's beautiful and each block looks like they are cut from stone with natural layers. Like I said it amazing, not to mention how tightly fit they are on a round dome building, beyond comprehension really.

Amazing Wil440, beautiful chapel and the dome roof is incredible. I heard you got the contract to pressure wash the dome, he he! Was it fun?

New places to camp
The places I have stayed are a bit out of the way, like 5 bucks a night with a senior pass. They are never crowded but, we need to find one with a good lake for boating and fishing. Might me worth looking west of Shasta and weed around Cecilville, Trinity Alps Mountains that area. There is also a campground on a lake with good fishing in the south Warner Mountains. It is the southern most campground in the Warners. A bit out of the way, you come in from the west side of the Warners and is north of Susanville.

Dodge hub removal tool
My 01 had no anti-seize, took me 3/4's of a day for each side. Air hammer wouldn't budge and ruined the star bolt heads when tried. So I cut slots with a grinder about an 1/8th away into the bearing hub and drove a chisel in there from opposite sides and it began to open. Once you see it move you know you got it. The slot cut helps hold the chisel so you can get a good swing at it. I actually kinda enjoyed the challenge and gave myself a gold star afterward. I thank Mopar Man for helping with many projects while on the phone with him. I send him money to make up for his time with me... has saved me a lot

Fuel Prices How low will they go
Our prices aren't far behind, keep going up and so does the volume/ pressure to which the gas pump is adjusted. I think it's to cause more foam so you pay for the air.

Fuel Prices How low will they go
Hey you folks out there is there any earthly reason they keep turning up the volume/ speed at which the pump pushes the diesel? The dang thing, I can't get a slow setting on the nozzle and spews out on my shoes and jeans so I have to slide utility knife in the handle, you can hear the poor pump squealing in there getting it so slow but, now they turned it up again with the stupid spew out problem again even with the tool in there.

16" Wheels suggestions?
Michael Nelson I know about the colors on birds. I want to give you a hard time with some smiles is all. To continue my contrary, the Alcoa website shows a video of an actual forged aluminum wheel, not cast aluminum like most, next to a steel wheel getting crushed under the same pressure. The Aluminum bounces back in shape when the steel wheel stays deformed from the same pressure. Cast aluminum is a cheaply made wheel when compared to a forged aluminum which is a very expensive process and used on a majority of large semi trucks and trailers today because of its higher strength metallurgy. Alcoa is a leader in the forging process so that is why I bought 3 sets of the 95 thru 97 forged aluminum Ford rims off Craigs. Two sets I paid around 200 for ea. set and the closest near to me where 75 bucks but, had to pay to toss /remove the old tires. When you find them you need to put on high pressure stainless stems to avoid corrosion between unlike metals. The biggest problem for me is that the offset makes the front tires stick out 11/2'' in the front and about 3/4'' in the rear. Have to be honest... I don't like the offset out like that but, hauling heavy with the camper, I like having the confidence in running strong wheels. My work truck has cast aluminum factory wheels which are flush with the front fender.

16" Wheels suggestions?
I remember your stock Aluminum wheels lasted around 250,000 miles, which wasn't too bad, What killed them where the cracks from age. Forgive me... when I see blue hair I get very contrary!

New water pump for the RV?
I'll have to request that option next time I'm reincarnated

New water pump for the RV?
Guessing a new water pump is next on the list. Thank you much. Went out yesterday to pay a little attention to the 01 work truck since it gets used more. Turns out I already did the oil and filter change and cooling system flush recently ! Took me awhile to remember what went on before vacation after watching purple hair, for a week, floatin around camp.

New water pump for the RV?
About every half hour my water pump runs for two seconds and I know there are no plumbing leaks in the RV. The water pump is from 2003 and has been let run dry with the switch on accidently for two whole days. Yes, it still works but, is it possible it's letting water back flow to the freshwater side? Anyone ever see this problem?

Finally on our way to Florida!
It's very cool that you share this with others here because like myself I doubt that I would ever be able to go see Florida. Thank you much @Doubletrouble Also I like how you pretend not one of those Mega Yachts could ever be yours. Yeah right! I blew up the pic and saw the name of the boat 'Tripletrouble'

Ok this is starting to make me mad
This may be the reason the economy is experiencing a pull back as so many factors are creating uneasy feelings about the future. When Cummins goes to average manufacturers placing their name on the box I see as indicative of our world today. This of course is only one company but, integrity and confidence seems to be diminishing in many sectors across the globe. Add society as a whole with the lack of real education , lack of teaching and setting examples of good work ethic. I say many avenues of previous strength are showing more and more potholes in the pavement. Anyone agree?
