  1. You are correct @Mopar1973Man, I agree, I was wrong concerning our 2nd gens trucks that have afforded so much to us all. Thank you for you great post above.
  2. Thank you Great work for what your doing. The more I hear about this electronic world, so connected, the more I think I prefer to be electronically disconnected ! A lot of you will heartily disagree and that's okay too.
  3. isn't there a timing that would work for all fueling as in an emergency run down the road or even using for all time if todays world becomes obsolete?
  4. Just for the sake of discussion, questions coming from my misunderstanding... lets say the Gov't mandates that our second gens ECM/ PCM can no longer be manufactured nor remanufactured. Is there a simpler method perhaps by allowing manual control on timing and other automated electronic controls needed to keep it running down the road, or am I in the dark here? Thank you a lot for your work and W-T's input.
  5. Can I look thru your garage? AKA 'wil440 Auto Parts' !
  6. Sounds like they are down to the rivets to me.
  7. Your right john as usual. how can you be so right all the time?
  8. So be careful and do as W-T suggests. but, again be careful @Andyba20
  9. does it squeak if you roll it backward in neutral? I have used W-T's method of running it when on jack stands and its very dangerous to go near it though so be careful when you get out to listen where it's coming from. I roll my truck backward in neutral almost every time after starting to see if my calipers are stuck on.
  10. Sounds like the shoes are rubbing too tight need to adjust, unless the emergency brake is staying on slightly. Don't listen to W-T he hardly ever drives his truck so it squeaks like that all the time.
  11. Sorry you got the ticket Wil440. 2 inch ruts sounds like a bad road and maybe the cause of the cords showing out the side of the tire.
  12. I like it when some get in my truck and say, wow this thing is smooth or it's a honey of a truck. I changed the vibration damper with a Cummins damper, when they still had them, and that made a huge difference since I could see a wobble on the old one at idle. The old one got damage to the rubber from the PO never cleaning the puke bottle.
  13. John are you running large farm equipment is that why your handle is Tractorman?
  14. When these first gens are kept up proper there is no sweeter ride on the planet. Glad you got all together.
  15. I see that truck every now and then... always has a red dust cloud behind it.
  16. Sorry that happened Mike, why does everyone hate that number 4 line? Difficult to get to I imagine.
  17. I placed the return line to the filler neck on both my second gens. I stepped up the size to fit on there with larger tubing. The flatbed got the neck cut and soldered in a copper 'T' from a plumbing supply house. I like how you can see it flow at idle and the neck acts like a heat sink in a small way perhaps.
  18. I forgot... my return line is hooked up to the vent and the neck has a much shallower slope to the tank.
  19. Nice truck! Does your flat bed cause you to have to fill the tank slowly? Mine does otherwise it spews back at me onto my shoes.
  20. Pre 96's are the best ones. We found a Blue 95 with 97 K on the clock, paid 5 thousand bucks for it. When my twin daughters were done with high school and college they asked me to sell it. Wish I never did.
  21. Joe Biden does it everyday.
  22. It's paid off over the years being 22/25 miles from Portland downtown but now the place is toxic.
  23. MoparMan moved from big city, now he big diesel physicist very much true too!
  24. What gets me is the guy has smiles on his face the whole time. You can tell he notices the dash came faced right at him. Has his insurance company come thru for you yet?
  25. Do you think that huge investments in food processing and ag land are because these people realize that the rate of inflation is being triggered more by a rocket trajectory of an exploding population and it's enormous demands on the world's food supply and other goods and services?
