I need to vent before my head explodes
I do not understand Putin's thinking because even if you take over a country by destroying it, once rebuilt you still have to do business and commerce by trade whether the people and infrastructure is yours or is an independent country. You still have to pay the people to run and maintain the infrastructure either way. So what's the insanity in killing people and destroying well built existing structures?! And Will, your right about the need to take care of of this before we become dead cowards. It piss's me off the way this guy can kill, butcher, maim, murder innocent children/ people.

RV travel camping may be better this year...
With pain at the pump paying an added 30 % isn't the best thing for RVr's like myself, but I have to say, one good effect will be the uncrowded campgrounds this year. Tho just a possibility, it will be interesting to see if the crowds do go down.

Not me, as my entire news story, which is all I want to hear, is the amount of earth we moved today before rain.

I need to vent before my head explodes
I think this why Bitcoin currency is getting popular but, I really think the American people will find a better alternative going back to a gold and silver coins and some copper. You know Dan they mandated our insurance pay for sex changes too now. I think our Gov't is a bunch of lazy bums that many couldn't do a days worth of real work like you and I can. Think how sick they must feel inside, day in and day out, never really accomplishing any real meaningful goals. Like myself, I'm starting the most beautiful deck ever in my lifetime of contracting. Last week I finished a beautiful Oak floor in my home, a home that I built. I tell ya, when I laze around and don't do much it makes me feel not so good but, today starting that deck was fantastic with me and the excavator. What a great guy to work with and the client is absolutely gold.

Pilothouse/RAM3500 build
It's not only a truck but, a rolling chunk of American made hardware and ingenuity. Think about some sort of security system since it will be the talk of the town.

I need to vent before my head explodes
We are saving $528 bucks a year not having cable TV. That will pay for camping fuel needed for a round trip to go see IBMobile and his gang at camp.

I need to vent before my head explodes
I understand fully. My cable TV is getting cancelled due to all the plastic. It's on the news with plastic painted ladies, plastic information, plastic politics, plastic Rx adds, plastic or wooden acting. I am sick of it even tho I hardly watch cable at all. I don't like the way those painted ladies all talk the same and have no original personality of their own. It like they're programmed robots. Last days there shall be many false prophets, says that in Luke 24 I believe.

Pilothouse/RAM3500 build
I am willing to pay for one tank of fuel if you come visit us after the truck is finished up at 'Mopar camp', so we can see the truck in person in the California Mountains. It happens October and May each year for about 9-12 days.

Need a sanity check.. changing careers
I have had most of December, all of January and about half of Feburuary off from work. At first I thought oh great after 43 yrs I am dam tired of working. Well, it's turned a corner again for me and I find enjoyment in going back to work. With all that time off I am now laying an Oak floor but, it's a very difficult one with time consuming cuts and offsets in the room. When I stopped working around 6 pm it felt so great to be doing something again... set up the saws and woodworking tools it was a great day today getting all the difficult cuts and fit together and out of the way. I remember when I was about 25 years from retirement age and thought, Oh damn, I can't believe I'm going to be doing this for so long, still, as I was getting so bored with it. Well I stayed with it a long time anyway and it finally became second nature, reaching a point I could think about many other things besides work and no longer had to be bored. It became easier and easier the longer I stayed with it. I learned that it becomes a part of you to a degree that you feel alright about what your career really is. It's like I was born into it even tho at first I knew I wasn't.

Winter weather - What do you see where your at?
Wear nose plug tonight, I just burned off the creosote in my chimney! The steel plate inside causes the chimney to condensate creosote on the chimney walls by running too cold. Took the steel plate out and everything is fine again. We got a light dusting last night and the low was 28 over night. Gradually getting warmer over the next few days. Got home yesterday from running a round trip to Scottsdale Arizona. 4 days run time each way with two of them in snow on the way home. It snowed so hard one night I thought we would have to wait it out but, we got up and going with only a couple inches by morning. One thing nice was taking all back roads since we saw a lot of mountain passes and a lot of free quiet out of the way camping. People sure are helpful in those small rural towns making it fun to visit and chat with. The most amazing part was Zion Natnl Park. That place has incredible, unbelievable mountain views. They stopped traffic both ways for me to get thru the over mile long tunnel thru the mountain or two mountains, I'm not sure. If you only do one thing in your lifetime, go see Zion, it's really something. I wished that my truck would break down for an overnight stay on at least one of the pull offs but, no such luck. I will try getting some pics up later, you won't want to miss.

Last job I'll ever need...
I used to own one just like that but it had full time 4 Wheel Drive. The mileage was terrible and so I got a new 79 Chev Silverado 1/2 ton 4wd 6 cylinder short bed, 3 on the tree. Loved that simple little truck till it got wrecked.

It's inherent that you know right from wrong, Thats God working in you and you cannot control that.

Freedom Convoy 2022, Truckers protest mandates in Canada
I just listen to him for just a short while on What is and what ought to be and his friend in the discussion, who is not a man of faith, very well educated, very articulate actually made me realize that my faith comes from a much deeper source, I suddenly began to feel the reality of that faith running in deeper more innermost part of me. Realizing there is a part of everyone you have no control of, that God dominates that area inside but, is up to you whether or not you want Him to open that door . A great great discussion and you begin to learn why he has become so popular in such a short time. BTW, I am sorry for being Judgemental, Mike is right, didn't mean to be that way except I am still not happy about the executive order to have the Obama care pay for late term abortions and sex changes. That does get my goat. Sorry!

He sounds really cool especially since my daughter is a psychologist and a christian lady. I will have to send her Jordan Peterson information. That daughter of mine has two masters and a Phd and her state license which is really tough to get.

I support the truckers also. You know it's so dumb to mandate a personal choice and since the left is so vaccinated, boosted and wear a mask, some out in the middle of a lake... being that your so well protected, what the hell do you care if I'm not? What difference does it make? I don't want a boost every 6 months with big green lips the size of 37's either ya lefty with no sense of direction on how to get out of that swamp. Sorry, couldn't resist getting started

Both Trucks showing up with slow to non working wipers...
The troubles I'm having in both trucks are lack of lubrication inside the gear transmission. After replacing mine on the least number of miles truck(106,000 miles) out of the two... looking closely at the original part on the bench, I found it does have a small square hole in the gear box to shoot in some lithium grease or drops of oil in there. When you take off the black plastic cowel/ cover and turn on the wipers without the blades that's when you can hear where the trouble is. I could hear the gears binding next to the motor when going ever so slow and bogging down.

Missing People in Idaho
You have to be careful owning a Cummins. Don't ever put your foot in it or you end up in a different time dimension.

Both Trucks showing up with slow to non working wipers...
It is very straightforward to change out the wiper motor and little gearbox. Comes all in one. You first need to to mark where the stop position is with tape on the windshield so you can line up the wiper in the correct stop/swing position when placing them back on the splinned spindle. The wiper swing arms/ linkage, motor all comes out in one assembly (4 bolts) so you can change out the trans and motor and lithium grease all the moving parts on the bench. Important note... If you run the wiper motor with the blades off the hubs to see if the lubrication has increased or improved the motor speed you MUST first run the motor to the full normal stop position Before putting the arms back on. That will insure proper operation when done. One important note... after installing the new motor I noticed on the malfunctioning original factory transmission that there was a small weep hole that will give you access to spray in some lithium grease inside the little gearbox. I will have to try that and hook to a battery and see if I can get it rolling again. To get to it you need to remove the whole assembly turning it over will reveal a small square hole that was facing forward and down when bolted in. Tuning it over will allow the spray tube in there to give it the lubrication it likely needs as my 02 only has 106 k miles and the motor was stopped. The 01 is slow now and smelled the motor getting hot last Friday on the way in. I will be into that one next weekend to try and grease the gears. See if that works for awhile.
