I'm starting a new post about a previous issue. If this isn't kosher feel free to move it. So I stated my turbo only builds boost to 22psi,then that's it. It won't build boost until about roughly 2,200 rpm, and is using fuel like crazy. It's not smoking like a freight train, but still using too much fuel. The turbo specs are: Turbonetics T3 66/65/.84. I have stock size injectors in it for now, and I have the tow tune on my quadzilla. Is this turbo too big? Or should I suspect a boost leak? The turbo also has no wastegate. Just straight out the back to a 5" exhaust all the way back. I'm thinking this turbo isn't too big, and I can …

( 2000 Ram 1 tn 4wd diesel auto, 340000 miles) Now that I got my fuel pressure issue solved, my brakes have decided to act up. They have been "spongy" and not strong stoppers for about 200 miles. I was going to wait till I got home to address the problem. Now however the Brake and ABS dash lights have come on permanently when driving. I also do not hear the semi loud "boom" I always heard in the past when turning the key on. I am aware of the sensor on the rear differential, but is this the kind of symptom that a failed sensor would cause? Also is there not a 6 pin brake switch somewhere that occasionally fails. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated. Booster, master …

Well the past couple of days my pressure started out at 13 then it went upto its usual 17. Once driving it, it would drop 4 or 5 psi! :wow:I change my fuel filter at every oil change, it was time to do it. Put the new filter in and it is right back to the steady 17 psi. Now I see how people kill their VP when the lift pump goes out and they don't have a pressure gauge!

This will be a little difficult to describe. When I first get the truck rolling in the morning, I'm hearing a rubbing sound which sounds somewhat rotational, in that it is not constant. It seems to be coming left front. It started a few weeks ago after I changed my crankshaft position sensor, where the only thing I had done was remove the started and reinstall. I have not lifted front end up yet to check wheels, but this noise stops after a few hundred feet, and seems to be only when the truck is not warmed up. If you have any tips please let me know so I can start checking into some things. The starter is brand new rebuild as of yesterday (warrantied one went out yesterd…

A few days ago I posted that I was hearing a 'rumbling' sound coming from my truck after starting off slowly, after the first start in the morning. A buddy of mine walked beside the truck the other morning when I left from work, and told me it was coming from the front of the engine compartment. I had already determined that the wheels, bearings, brakes were normal. I looked at the belt on my fuel boss, and it was very loose (the instructions for the fuel boss state not to have it too tight). Anyway, it was loose to the point where I could almost slip it off the pulleys. I got to thinking that maybe in the morning when the belt is stiff, it might be jumping the cogs on th…

So checked temp and it also freaks out on the graph on scanner when throttle cuts out. Went to install new apps and either no voltage at pin or reads 4.6 v on new sensor started truck and goes wide open

On my other 99 ram after I took off the Quadzilla, I am left with these 2 codes. Any one else have this happen? How did you go about clearing them or fixing the issue. No boost elbow, all stock now.

Hello I replaced my lift pump and IP but now I have a hard start issue because the cranking pressure is too much for IP. I now have a toggle switch to turn off the lift pump while starting. I have heard of a way to install a relay to delay the lift pump until the engine is running, is there a link on here for the instructions? Thanks

I luckily noticed starter motor solenoid wire boot/ insulation was rotted on a pretty new starter motor and the heavy wire was exposed. Could have shorted out on the nose of the solenoid. See photo in link http://www.fostertruck.com/grommet-cover-for-motor-wire-denso.html Im supprized that heavy wire is not insulated, just the cheap rubber boot. Damn ! I zip tied a plastic wire loom cover over it, temporary fix . Till I pull the starter and do a good fix I'm sure you other guys ran into this issue. Has anyone done a good fix remedy for this starter issue? Piece of heavy duty shrink rap?

First post here, a pleasure to be here! I’ve been fighting with my gauges for a while now and it’s driving me insane. I have read many pages on here and other forums but have not found an exact answer or fix. My tachometer works, all other gauges inop my transmission shifts great. When I connect my scanner (Snapon Zeus) I can pull codes out of the ecm and get codes P1698 (No transmission bus messages) and P0230 (transfer pump circuit out of range) I believe that is due to the airdog. Many of my dummy lights are on. The wiring in this truck is a nightmare due to the previous owner. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I acquired a stack of corrugated-plastic "Vote for me" signs from my father in law and plan to make winter fronts for my truck. How much of the grill do I need to leave open?

So my F Pump on my 02 is in the tank, someone must have changed it. I would say the dealer but I installed a FP gauge and found that I only had about 7lbs at idle. I decided this was not enough so ordered a new pump. I actually ordered one for the block because I did not know the in tank one had replaced the original as I have only had the truck a month or so. I hooked it up on Saturday and found the new one on tne block would not suck fuel through the tank pump and the tank pump would barely push fuel through the other one. So I decided to hook them both up. Now I have 25-30 lbs at idle and WOT is at least 20lbs. I am thinking that this may be too much so I called Cummin…

Hi there. Had my Airdog100 installed yesterday and the mechanic went to put the fuel pressure sending unit in and broke the nut at the top for the ground! I was wondering if I could solder that and make it work or figure out a way to use it where it will hold together? Guess it's not that expensive but why order a new one if this one is fine. I will include a pic and hopefully you can see it good enough to tell me. Thanks guys!

Hey guys can someone please help me. I had to emergency stop twice now and all the truck did was lock up the rear tires and the front did nothing. Rear abs does not work but the light does not come on to tell me there's a problem. The light does work when you turn the key on, then goes out after a couple of seconds. I'm not sure if my truck is supposed to have 4 wheel abs or not but I found the abs wires cut at the hubs. Any help would be great. Thanks
