Had all 5 of these codes pop up at once after changing all of my better connections while trying to figure out my electrical issues. I’ve been dealing with a p0121 off and on for 3-4 months, replaced my APPS, dead pedal came back 3 wks later. Coincidentally my trans (auto) started not going into gear in drive or reverse until I rev up to about 1k rpm’s. I did the BD diesel noise isolator and for a few days it drove perfectly with zero shifting issues or dead pedal. Then started having overboost codes and then the truck randomly died twice. Replaced batteries and redid connections and triple checked the connections, and now I have those 5 codes. Thinking ECM going out due …

Hello there everyone hope you all have a happy thanksgiving, here recently I noticed my truck hesitates when you go to WOT if you let off some you can feel it take off harder, this is particularly annoying passing people, no codes fuel pressure never drops below 15psi I’ve tried messing with the quad tuning but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. Hopefully someone’s seen something like this! Thanks!

Hi guys.. I'm am having a problem with my truck shifting from first to second.. only on slow acceleration. It seems like it kicks in out of second very quickly a couple to few times. If I accelerate quicker.. no problem. Can TPS cause this or do I have another problem? Thanks in advance! All other gears are fine...

Except the motor is running like a dog and has a idle surge from 800-…

Been lurking the forum forever but haven't posted much because I can usually find the answer. Anyways, I just bought a Frankenstein 99 Dodge that's p-pumped, with a G56 transmission. It also has an S363 turbo with 70 hp injectors, and it's leveled on 35x20's. Someone has spent a significant amount of time and money upgrading this truck, but it also came with a lot of issues. (I might add that the body and paint on the truck is 9/10, only 1 noticeable dent.) For instance, the front end is loose as hell, but the truck came with all the parts to do a front end rebuild. The dash is busted all to hell, the AC doesn't work at all, the gauge cluster doesn't funct…

Hi Guys, Just thought I would mention what I have just recently gone through. My fuel gauge line is connected to a small needle vale on the fuel pump and over time, the gauge needle valve has vibrated open. I started to hear this tick while driving and thought I had an exhaust manifold leak. Kept looking and checking and found nothing out of the ordinary. This went on for a while and I was getting frustrated and concerned due to the exhaust burning metal away at the gasket area. One day I happen to watch the fuel gauge as I booted it to pull away in traffic and the gauge needle jumped in time with the "tick" - ahh I thought, has to be the gauge line valve. Adjuste…

I cleaned my IAT Sensor this morning, wasn't that dirty, and plan on doing the MAP tomorrow morning (didn't have a 1 1/16 socket). This morning I checked the resistance on the IAT sensor, at approx. 43-47 degree F. I was getting 28.60 Ohms. Interpolating from Mopar1973Man's supplied temp/ohm chart, this sounds about correct. Anyone think that's incorrect?I also put a temporary air blocker in behind the grill this afternoon, as I noticed yesterday while driving to work 60 miles at a temp of around 27 F. that my IAT from my scan gauge was around 73 F. which seems a bit low. From the reading I've done here, the higher the better (up to a certain point I'm sure). Tonight went…

Are Napa map sensors any good? My truck has been thru 3 Napa map sensors in the last 4 months. I’m wondering if they’rs a deeper issue? I have noticed lately that my truck is not running well and don’t sound at all like other 24 valves around. It idles rougher and overall sounds way different. Valve lash is good fuel pressure is good. I have a set of stock injectors I’m putting in soon and I may replumb the entire fuel system as I’m wondering about air in fuel. What you guys think? I’m getting very fed up with how it runs.

I have a 47re automatic transmission and about 1-2months ago lost over drive, so at 55mph Im riding at 3k rpms. I have to take back roads every where lol. I have a beater for now to get around over 40mph. I am wanting to swap my automatic for a stick. I live in Strongsville, Ohio which is between Cleveland and Akron on the westside. Any one know a place within 3-4 hours where they would have everything I need? Thanks in advance for the help, and Happy New Year!

I'm almost done with Air Dog, but I have a couple problems. First, the main suction line from the tank to the AD, will not connect to the top of the factory sending unit. There is a 90 elbow fitting on top the tank, and the new AD line has a plastic quick fit attachment and no matter how hard I push, it will not click on. The previous owner actually had a FASS pump installed which I found out today. If I can't get it to fit, should I just cut the plastic quick connect off and stick the line on and hose clamp it? It looks like the previous owner did that with the FASS.Second question is electrical. On the wiring harness where it plugs into the AD, There is another electric…

Anyways I got my truck back a few weeks ago after getting a new block to replace the cracked 53. There was a small oil leak where the stock lift pump bolts to a plate on the side of the block. Fixed that. Then the o ring for the crank sensor was discovered have a leak as well so that was fixed. Got it back from the mech and put a few hundred miles on her and I have now discovered by laying underneath the truck while it was running that I have a leak in the vicinity of the vacume pump. I'll try to get some pics up here tomorrow. I can see oil gathering at the bottom edge of where the vac pump meets the block. :banghead:.

Truck runs smooth as glass, good fuel pressure at 19, 15wot, 65k miles and got trouble codes 1693 and 230. What's with that everyone? I'll clear the codes and report back. Thanks for any help. Update; I checked the code list and it does not mean a bad vp. 230 means incorrect lift pump voltage from the ecm. I'm hoping it's just dirty battery connections. Now cleaning all battery terminals, checked lift pump connections and batteries still unhooked with headlight switch on to get rid of residual electricity in the system. Hope I'm on the right track here. --- Update to the previous post... I hooked everything all back up and still got code 230. …

Has anyone ever replaced the bearing in the belt tensioner? is this something that can be replaced and if so who has the part number of the bearing? mine is starting to squeak and i figured that this would be the cheaper route rather than replacing the entire tensioner. thank you.

Hey I've got a question about prefilling filters whether they be fuel or oil. What about the unfiltered oil/fuel that enters the engine? Any concern here? Not sure if this is the proper thread for this question:shrug:

2000 with Raptor 150, Edge JWA, full 1/2" line from tank to VP, S&B intake. After sitting, she cranks and cranks (5-12 seconds) before starting, and then billows white smoke. I haven't noticed missing coolant so I don't think I'm losing compression via a bad headgasket. Had a bad starter that I replaced and oddly enough a bad vp ground at the same time but this didn't fix the issue. So this leads me to believe I'm losing prime since vp issues typically manifest when hot, not when cold. But my lift pump is tied into a toggle switch on the dash. I can turn on the pump and instantly be at 20 psi right before the vp, so even if I had a small leak, i'd push …

Glad to have found this forum....Ok, here's the deal. This truck was last tagged in 2011. It was drove/cranked periodically for very short periods while sitting 99.9% of the time. I got it tagged and inspected, filled up with fuel. I've put about 350 miles on her trying to see if Lucas fuel treatment might resolve some issues....as I am new to owning a Diesel, in general. I've done a lot of googling though, LOL. All right, here's what's up. It busts off and cranks fine, every time....but it lopes very hard and spews white/blueish smoke....very strong diesel smell until it warms up a bit. Once warmed or ran, it cranks fine. Second issue...Usually after …
