@notlimah just a quick side question so not to get off topic. How do you like the Dynamic Stage 3? I am currently saving for a trans. Firepunk is close to me, but I am considering Dynamic.

Okay I've got something going on with my truck and I'm in need of ideas. My truck sounds different (more tinney rattle) in the top end, less power, less boost higher EGT's. I pulled the valve cover off and re-torqued everything. I was worried something vibrated loose. Everything was tight. I did start the truck while the valve cover was off, and I could hear what was I think was the injectors. Not sure what they are suppose to sound like? I haven't changed a thing with any settings in the Quad tuning. I'm running the edge tune, (I can post them if anyone wants to look them over). Only thing that I found was the set screw on the boost elbow backed out and was gone.…

I had the check gauges lamp come on and noticed low volts the other morning, it climbed back up after a few seconds and the check gauges lamp went off but the voltage was only at about 11-12v range on the gauge (usually 13-14). I took the alternator to autozone, bench tested showed bad, got a replacement and bench tested before leaving, that one tested good. Also tested batteries, both good. I installed everything and still nothing for charge voltage though. After reading some other sites about the PCM voltage regulator going bad, I got an external voltage regulator and was about to connect it up today, but I read a post here a couple of days ago and it got me th…

Well I've made it home for the summer and it's time to start tearing this thing apart. I will begin tomorrow, but yesterday I took it to the dyno. Laid down 503 / 1215. I was very pleased with the numbers, but the knocking is getting worse to it's time to take it apart.

So I’m running through the pros and cons of tapping my VP. My main thinking is it’d be fun to have until I can throw bigger injectors in the truck and use the quad to tune accordingly. My main concerns are I’m not entirely sure of the mileage on the VP. I think it’s at around 70ish and even though the PO kept good care of the truck, he didn’t have records of it and I had to call the dealership to confirm and they were a little unsure of the date as it’d been a while and they’re system had crashed at some point making certain things not show. Either way, PO didn’t use two stroke, ran a hyper tech tuner and had an intake lift pump so I’m sure it ra…

Are both these things snubbers? The "sinster" one holds back pressure more, giving it a blow test. But if any breaks off would not want particles going thru system or are they better?

Hey guys. Have a question about my truck wondering if you can shed some light. I bought this truck a couple years ago and have been slowly restoring it. I hear a loud knock/clank I believe to be coming from cyl 5 or 6. I say this because I originally thought the TC bolts were loose. I checked them. Removed, locktite, retourqued. I cracked fuel injector lines one by one to try to isolate noise, etc. Each line I cracked, I heard a noicable miss but the noise never stopped. Today I took my valve cover off to look for anything obvious. I found a few things! I see all my rockers getting evenly oiled, no visibly bent pushrods, no dropped valves/carbon buildup anywhere. …

Evening Ya'll, 1st things 1st, THANK YOU MIKE! THIS SITE ROCKS! I've been using this as my service help for the last few weeks. I picked up a 2002 Ram 2500 SLT, Automatic, 4x4, short bed. Got what I thought was a good deal. I drove it 150 miles home, it was a DOG. I pulled 2 codes, P0112 (IAT v low) and P0237 (MAP v low). Using Mike's trouble shooting guides for the above DTC codes, after much wire tracing, ground cleaning, and testing both sensors are good along with the corresponding wiring..The ECM was bad. OK...FAST FORWARD to the 14th of March. My new (rebuilt) ECM came in, programmed ready to go. Installed the…

I've have a fuel leak between fass and fuel module. I'm trying to find exact location of leak. Leak is only about 3 drops per min and probably a connection, but I need to find. Is it alright to turn key on and leave it on...way after WTS light goes out? I want to keep fuel under pressure to find where drips are coming from. Thanks

Truck in my sig...... This truck has had a FASS 150 on it for @10 years, has and still does work correctly. Up until yesterday, key "on", pump ran a couple of seconds, or bump the starter and pump ran for @20 seconds. Yesterday, key "on", no pump, bump the starter, pump runs a few seconds and shuts off. The FASS is run with a relay plugged into the factory lift pump harness. The truck starts and runs, and maintains @14 psi constant after being started. I unplugged the FASS harness, tested the relay and the harness, checked out ok, and the pump runs with 12v direct to it. Key "on", the factory lift pump harness shows 7v, bump the starter it goes to 9v-10v for a few se…
