I haven't been on a forum in many years but you kinda need to go back to them when you have a real question that needs to be answered. I have an 01 Dodge Ram 2500, auto, Quadzilla, 75 injectors, 62/68/12 and a Airdog I run the Quad on the stock tune on the fuel saving tune and bump it up one when towing I just installed my 3 piece manifold so I have my Quadzilla and Edge CTS probes installed and have really noticed my EGTs. They seem to be around 800 in flat ground and up to 1100 on small hills. I was told maybe it has a boost leak which I have checked. My truck can hit 25 lbs quick but kinda seems to max out but my wastegate should open at 35. May…

As my first post, thanks for all you do for the rest of us...I appreciate you all more than you know. I’m going through the step by step for this code and have run into a snag at step 5. Looking for confirmation with someone else before I start cutting wires. By these results I’m guessing a problem with both my white and black wires between the FPCM and the ECM and I should replace both. (Ironically both these wires have a weird little twist coming out of the FPCM) FYI. Just finished the W-T ground mod. Waiting on a circuit breaker to do the positive side. If anyone could confirm my suspicions, i would greatly appreciate it. 5. …

Howdy there everyone, hope everyone is well and healthy! So during this “pandemic” slow days at work has given me more free time to mess with the 24v so I have some 7x.12 nozzles that I’ve had laying around but I know they’re way too much for my he351 because as of right now I still get tons of turbo shutter, looking at new turbo options, on Power Driven Diesel my preferred place to get parts, they have upgraded he351’s 62,64,67mm anyone have any luck with these? Or I’m looking at an sxe 362 or 364.5 if I was to go this route would I go a .70 or .80 t3 housing? I’m looking to be around 550-600hp on a single yes I know compounds the way to go on these 24v’s but man droppin…

Looking to identify where this plug is supposed to go the wire colors are Yellow/Blue, Yellow/Green, Black/White. It's located next to the ECM on the right side of the motor as you face the truck. just above the engine mounted fuel pump. I unplugged it from a pigtail system which is in the attached photos. There are zero markings as to what this box is/does, the small tag on the wire loom is not legible the only thing I can pick out on it is "4-02tdw". Any help would be appreciated, I reconnected the cannot plug to the left of the one in question as well that's depicted in the first photo. This was also connected to the system in box in question. …

Sorry guys, I posted the other day with a P1689 Code, which is now gone and hasn’t come back. Starts and idles great. Sounds perfect, just won’t rev over 2000rpm. I assume just waiting to pop back up. While watching live stream I noticed these voltage readings. Any ideas as to why, or what’s up? Grid heaters are unhooked by the way. IMG_3223.MOV

So Ive had the Gould pump reseal kit for awhile and decided since I got all this downtime I would go and rebuild it this morning. Everything was goin great until I started to drive the seal retainer out of the housing. I cannot get the damn thing to budge. Using a big dead blow and the provided driver tool, even used a 2x4 and a 3lb sledge and that sucker wont budge. Anyone had this issue or any tips/tricks?

Hey folks need advice on how effective adding a aux trans cooler will be to keeping my trans temps in check, I bought my 2001 with 300k from my uncle in law. He was the original owner and always serviced it at my father in law's shop. I only using for hunting, camping and occasional trailer hauling trips. I'm a park ranger in Nevada and love backcountry hunting, climbing, mountain biking etc... My favorite spot involves a 45+ minute climb in 4LO to get up a series of switchbacks from 5500' to 8000'. The transmission, and eventually the motor gets hot. Trans 225+ motor 210. Juice will read the temp sensor I installed in the transmission on passenger…

I had my truck parked for 7 days under the covered shelter. Haven't started or drove it in a week. Been Raining for a week and off work. I just noticed a little wet spot stain on the concrete inside the driver front wheel this morning. Turns out the power steering pump leaked a little out the cap like it was over filled but it hasnt been. Started the truck and backed straight back and then noticed no power steering and no power brakes. Stopped got out , checked the reservoir and had oil in it and as the truck idled for a few minutes I could see the oil inside the pump start flowing and pump working. Got back in the truck and the power…

Over the last week I've noticed some strange behaviors from my truck and want you all's opinion on whether I'm being paranoid, I just need some maintenance, I'm about to have a serious truck breakdown to deal with, or something else altogether. Background: I'm in Minnesota, and my fuel tank is full of local "Premium" diesel. Temps are ranging from the 20s to even a few days in the 60s. Fuel from the same station I've used a lot in the past, newer station, sells lots of diesel. Other guys I work with fuel here, too, no problems. I'm running my Quad on Level 2 for MPG, as I have for a few thousand miles. Fuel pressure is unchanged. Can hardly tell about M…

Evening first time poster! I've been lurking this forum for a bit now with the anticipation of purchasing a new to me 2001 with 160,xxx, new to the 5.9 but have owned two 6.7's in the past. Today while looking under the rig it appears to be coolant behind the harmonic balancer. I went for the water pump and thermostat housing first but no joy on any coolant leakage. Besides the radiator hoses where else should I look for a possible leak OR what could fluid being in that spot indicate? Also of note after a short drive I crawled under and saw some drops on the steering linkage and some drips on the concrete. The seller recently worked on the oil pan gasket and n…

Hi guys, my 2002 5.9 24 valve has some issues and I want to verify I am doing the correct things before proceeding. It runs poorly and surges, the temp gauge is going near full almost immediately, and the check engine light is on. There are several high voltage codes including (P0563 charging system, P1475 Aux 5 volt output, P1286 APPS supply voltage, P0113 Intake air temp sensor, P0118 ECT voltage, P0238 MAP sensor) all stating voltage too high. Now I also have the P0606 ECM/PCM Processor code. I did an alternator A/C noise test and it failed (otherwise the charging system seems normal). I am able to scan codes but can not communicate to get any data whatsoever. My plan …

I'm having an issue with my truck. Its a 2001 dodge cummins 4x4 automatic transmission 4 wheel abs. Im getting the p0501 code with check engine light, and a slight hesitation when the code activates at 20mph. My speedo is working fine and no other lamps on other than the check engine lamp. The code seems to only be in the ECM and not in any other modules. I started going thru mopar1973man's post about this code and at step 2 its saying replace the ABS module. I dont believe this is an ABS module issue because my speedo is working normally. I recently bought this truck knowing it needed a PCM so i ordered 1 and that seemed to have solved all my previous issues(CCD/no bus).…

Twice now only with the edge comp on getting on it a little goes in to limp mode scanguage says it’s boost sensor code, replace sensor runs fine with the edge turned off or even with it on it runs good until I get on it,then blows the sensor again, weird. side note I had a 53 block that cracked so I replaced it with a new one, that old engine ran really good with the same edge chip same ecm, wire harness,vp44,sensors swapped over to the new engine,so I didn’t want to blame the chip right off the bat since it worked so well before, any ideas? Thanks

Like the title says I've got a 99 2500 been chasing this issue pretty much since I got the truck almost 2 years ago. Long story here I've dug and dug into research on it. Looked at other forums, looked at other pages, seen what worked. I even fixed a few when I worked at dodge by relocating the ground across the radiator. That's what led me to this site when I found out about the alternator AC issue. It made perfect sense seeing as my ECM has a bad microprocessor also. I tried all those bogus tricks. Nothing can seem to fix my truck short of a $3000 manual swap. Only one that really helped was cleaning and replacing bolts on battery terminals for about a week then it came…

2002 5.9 dually 81,000 miles on the clock. Have several problems guys. But firstly I bought the truck 6 months ago and have put 18,000 miles on it but when the cold weather hit I came up with alot of problems. I'm pretty mechanicly inclined I just dont know where to begin my first 5.9 24valve and diesel for that matter. Its pouring oil like a drop every 10 seconds out of the crank case vent so I emptied the bottle and filter and that didnt help a bit. Also theres a small hole in the bottle I'm assuming from the previous owner? Next I have a hard start fuel leak issue sets down hill truck starts fine, tighten the banjo bolt still no luck. Cant actually see fuel leaking fro…

Hey Guys, Finally getting around to setting up my boost / egt and fuel pres / trans temp gauges. Whaddya think guys? what is the best recommended location for the boost sensor? I'll be drilling / tapping 1/8 npt so I'm hoping / wondering if the aluminum intake just before the manifold would suit. Easy to take off without worrying about drill / tap chips getting into the intake. I got all of the other sensor locals down. And yea, I know about drilling/taping the egt probe hole while the engine is running. Done that a few times on previous vehicles. Thanks!
