I'd like for my Quadzilla to show fuel pressure. Can I tap into one of the three wires I have coming off the sending unit for my ISSPRO fuel gauge? There's an 3 pin plug coming off the sending unit to my gauge and the quad has a corresponding 3 pin plug that matches the ISSPRO sending unit. I wouldn't mind keeping my pillar gauge and having the Iquad showing pressure as well.

  2. O.K. So planning on a 2,000 mile trip with the wife. Oil pressure gauge has not worked since purchase. Installed V2 Quadzilla. Immediately threw Low voltage for the MAP sensor. So the Oil Pressure Sender and the MAP Sensor Share the 5 volt reference voltage. So I had it. I took every thing loose that I could and then had a friends son come by and remove the rest of the harness. Dropped it down in front of the axle so that I could reach the Harness. The MAP sensor wires were twisted together and ran that way all the way to the bottom of the turn up for the ECM Plug. The wires were longer than that joint so they ran forward with the balance of the wires. So I co…

Question, the banjo bolt on the back of the head 2002 dodge changed this to one with a one way value,. Was this to help with the fuel leaking back with truck sitting nose up hill?

I need a little help. I started my truck the other day and when I went to give it some throttle the rpm jumped rapidly and stops at about 1100- 1200 rpm and won't go any higher. Let off the throttle it idles normal. So I shut the truck off and started it again and everything was back to normal. It has done that several time since then and is getting harder to get the throttle to function normally. I have had to disconnect the batteries on two occasions and restart the truck several time to get it functioning correctly. Would this be indicating a bad apps?

I just got a 1999 Dodge Cummins in the shop with a clutch issue. I got it pulled out today and this truck has a single disc ceramic clutch. The clutch has completely eaten a deep groove approximately 1/16" to nearly a 1/8" in the pressure plate and about 0.010 groove in the flywheel. Surprising there was zero hotspots in either face. The friction plate was still in good shape but it completely ruined the pressure plate and flywheel will need to be turned. This truck is stock for the most part other than Edge Juice tuner. So for those of you considering ceramic clutch I wouldn't advise it. As this happens to be the second ceramic clutch that the previous owner installed an…

  6. First time posting. Just got a 2000 2500 2wd to tow a tiny house. Decided to get a Fuel Boss and hopefully not worry about fuel supply issues and trashing a VP44. The thing is bone stock (as far as I can tell) without gauges (I know I need to get them). I checked the engine bay and there is definitely a carter lift pump behind and below the stock fuel filter. It's plugged in to the harness and the fuel like is hooked up to the filter, but I haven't bumped the starter to see if it runs. I ordered a fuel boss thinking the install would be straightforward with the stock lift pump. Then I checked the tank. It really looks like it has an in tank pump: …

First a little background. After my last trip of about 1200 miles I decided to upgrade my lift pump because the old (new) carter was misbehaving (again). I replace the original carter before last years 7000 mile trip, fuel filter also. Worked flawless as far as carters do. Ran about 7-9lbs FP until about 300 miles from home. Pressure went to '0' for about 10 seconds while entering the freeway and then returned to normal. When I got home I changed the fuel filter and then all was well. This year the carter went to '0' again for about a minute or so up in Sandpoint, Idaho and then came back up to 6-9 lbs. Made it back home ok and changed out the carter to a fuel b…

  8. Here you go gang... How to remove the VP44 the quick and easy way. Takes approximately 45 minutes for me to do this much. Remove the Mopar1973Man Crankcase vent (if applicable) Using a 10mm socket remove the air horn bolts and dipstick bolt. Using a 7/16 or 11mm loosen the top clamp of the boost boot. Move everything out of your way. Pack a shop rag in the intake to prevent stuff from falling in. Using a 13mm socket loosen the 3 bolts holding the APPS sensor and unplug and move. Now unplug the VP44 main connector and wire tap . This connector is a two st…

  9. The past few mornings it's been 25 degrees here. I go and start my truck to let it warm up a little and get the frost off the window. Normally the grid heater will cycle after I start it for a few minutes this morning and yesterday it only cycled one time. It did cycle before I started the truck and one time after but that's all. I didn't have the truck plugged in. Is this normal or do I have an issue?

  10. Want to service my 47RE Auto Transmission and install a drain plug on the pan. B&M advertises a plug, but I have read they can/will leak. Are there any other options for a retrofit plug? If someone has done this job, what is the best location for the plug? Also, if there is Go-By article, would someone please point me to it? Thanks. Leaky

Anyone ever run one? Does it work as advertised? As I read you can command it to lock and stay locked from drive to OD (2nd if you have a modded valve body). Kind've tired of the factory pcm tranny control and fighting with lockup issues. Thoughts?

Disconnect the VP44 wiring harness connector completely. Connect pin 6 on the VP44 to battery ground. Connect pin 7 on the VP44 to battery positive. A diagram of the sockets on the VP44 wiring harness connector is included below. The pins on the VP44 will be the reverse of this diagram (a mirror image). Make sure you know which pins are which... numbers are molded on the connector and possibly on the VP44 (I can't remember). You must insure you don't cause any short circuits or make connections to the wrong pins on the VP44. I would also strongly advise you to add a 15 amp fuse between the VP44 and battery positive. As soon as you make the last con…

Ok, well, as some of you know, my trucks tcase pooped the bed on the way to my new job. It's home now, safe at my friends shop. I'm 900 miles away though, so I can't do anything but think about what I need to fix, what I should do, etc. Now obviously the tcase is priority. Once that's fixed, she's good to go. But given that the last two times this truck has gone on a long trip and left me stranded, I'm leery about some things. The truck has 265000 on it (I think). I think the vp is the original. Not sure if the previous owner had it rebuilt, or replaced, or anything. He said he had the transmission rebuilt, but that was an obvious lie. So I choos…

Needed a quad cab, so I traded my old single cab for a 2000 24v auto with issues. I've read on the dead voltage gauge issue (mine has it). I've replaced the alternator, batteries, cleaned the grounds on the fender well, frame, batteries, front core support and the issue still remains. Previous owner had an alternator that was internally regulated as it only had the power wire going to it and it charged but the gauge didn't work. I replaced it with a new factory alternator and now not only does it not show voltage on the dash, it doesn't charge. Easy checks to hunt down the issue? 2nd issue, I have the tq converter lock unlock syndrome. Its constant…

I’m looking at buying a 99 24 valve that has been rolled over to either part out or fix up. It has 285k runs well drives well I’m not sure if it’s a 5 or 6 speed yet. Owner claims it gets 21MPG on hwy. Also says he still drives the truck occasionally. He wants 4500$. What do you guys think? I have a 2001 24 valve and it has no power and smokes white like crazy when its cold. It will do this even after sitting for only 2-3 hours if i let it idle for 25 minutes or more it will be fine still some smoke some not alot more in 1st 2nd and a blueish tint but lots power. Not getting a code for vp44. I have the air intake sensor unplugged all the time because when its plugged in then it has no power almost all the time. Once trucks been running for 25-30 minutes it works fine but it will lose power right at 1450-1500 rpm in 3rd 4th 5th if u hold it there for a while, usually happens if i get stuck behind slow traffic and im at that rpm.If i drop a gear to bring the…
