No blinkers or hazards. 01, 2500, 3/4, 4x4, auto, 360, gasser, black, larime, LB, XC Driving along turned on the right blinker it blinked a Doz times or so then it stopped. I tried the hazards and nothing. Fuse, good, confirmed with a meter. Then, I blamed the relay. Replaced the relay and still nothing. Running/parking lights work so do the headlights hi & low beams. So? Where do I put the blinker fluid? ha ha ha....Not It's going to snow in the next couple of days and my plow truck really kind of needs them to be working when I'm plowing in town.:ahh::ahh::ahh::ahh: :confused2:

Hi Guys,My 2001 2500 Ram fuel gauge shows 3/4 full with 700 kms on the trip OD. I filled it up and it took 90 litres and the tank is 128 Litres. Previous to this, it showed 3/8 of a tank and I ran out of fuel and had to bleed the system. Is there a fix to this other than replacing the sending unit? It occured right after I installed my ScanGauge11 but I'm sure thats just a coincidence. Thanks,Arcwelder

So to make a long story short.....a long time ago I wrecked my truck and had the frame repaired. For whatever reason I still feel weary about the frame situation because of who did the work. I recently found a guy who has a 2001 dodge dually frame and front axle. I have pictures of it but his front end setup is more or less a solid front axle with no differential and it has coil spring towers on the frame My current pickup a 1997 dodge 2500 single wheel 2wd has the old control arm coil spring setup. My question is is one or the other a better front end ? And if I could score this frame and stuff would all my 97 stuff be able to be swapped to that frame?

My heater blower on the 2001 got cleaned and lubed tonight and blows much better also no longer has the funny vibration sound. However, not blowing as well as my 2002 with half the miles, I'm wondering if there is a strategic spot to cut out the plenum housing for access for cleaning. I'm not well versed on parts but I believe to be able to clean the evaporative cooler? is that right? Would be great. funny... I always thought that was near the radiator The blower was a quarter full of pine needles as was the cowel under the windshield so I know there is more yet to clean. I want cut out for future access T.I.A.

My fuel shut down solenoid had a failure. At first the solenoid would hold but not pull up the plunger. I maually had to push the plunger up to in order to start. I replaced the relay and fuse link at the battery. I tuned the engine over and the pig tail of the solenoid caught fire. Lucky fire didn't spead beyond the wiring and plastic cover at the solenoid. I decided to switch over to a manual cable cable setup vs OEM electric. Works great, see my write up on this conversion in this forum.

Is there another bearing in the actual steering column itself? I just replaced the intermediate shaft that hooks up to the gear box and now the whole assembly wiggles all the way up to the steering wheel...I already did the the bushing that's in the engine bay. I'm trying get the steering tight on this thing and the hole just keeps going deeper. My old intermediate shaft only had about 1/16 of play at the bottom u-joint so now the culprit points to the column itself.

Just wanted to thank you to Mike for all his articles that helped me replace the tappet cover gasket and install new RV 275 injectors, and to all the great write ups from the members I could not have done this with the help. Also the instructions found on Blue Chip diesel where very much needed. Will have photos and short write up in near future, to tired right now. Thanks to all.

I've been keeping my eye on this hitch for a while to replace the current ball in my be. The set up I have now leaves the ball permanently in the way and I have always hoped to get a turn over ball. Any who...I was scrolling through Amazon today and found the one I need for $220, regular $450ish. I pulled the trigger, hopefully it will work out alright. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007F9FIUG?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

Last week I bought a HID kit; couldn't justify the full projector upgrade at this time. Saturday I popped the hood to plan my installation and can't figure out which is the least evil of the few mounting options I see available. I like the idea in Me78569's article to mount the brain on the passenger side, but still could use some advice on where to mount everything. I do not wish to reinvent a wheel and learn lessons the hard way if I can learn from someone else's experience! Could one of you with such a system take some photos of how you mounted the brain box, ballasts, etc. and post them here? Or send a link to a previous thread. I did a search but may have misse…

My 2001 2500 2wd is starting to wander. I continually have to steer right then left to hold it straight down the road. Had it into my alignment shop. All specs are ok. I thought about adding caster, but at spec 3 1/2 degree positive already they said that was enough. I am used to 1.5 to 2 degree with the dana 4wd axle. As I said this is 2wd and all front end components except steering box have under 25 k miles on them. Steering sector box? Truck has 175 k on it and I live 1 mile down a washboard road.

I have a hand held 2 way radio for the local logging roads and I was using it today and noticed whenever I would key the mic to talk my oil pressure gauge would drop right off and the “check gauges” alarm and light would come on. As soon as I would let off the mic the gauge would go back up to normal. Really had me confused/nervous the first couple times it happened before I put the 2 together. so what could be causing this to happen and why?

Hey Everyone, I have a 2001 Dodge 2500 6spd and I had a buddy help me put a in Pioneer AVH3500NEX while I was deployed. He didn't realize I had steering wheel controls (understandable since it's a 2001), so after a bunch of research I bought the Pac Audio SWI-CP2 universal steering wheel control retention interface. Attached in this image is the guidance that they provide for some T-splices that are required. I found the 7 pin harness very easily, but I am a little stumped with the 5 pin harness that I need to tap into. It says that it is found at the steering column, but I do not see any 5 pin harness, when I pull that little plastic drop shutter. Can someone potentia…
