Who makes the best aftermarket headlights for these trucks? I'm wanting housings that are designed for the regular halogen bulbs. I've read that the OEM housing are the best but really don't want to spend $400 on them. Sanding my current housings worked pretty good to brighten things up but the plastic is full of stress cracks which gives them a pretty crappy beam.

No run/start power. Accessories position works. Timer module(?) under dash ticks about 4 times per second when door is open. No fuses seem blown, though we all know that means nothing. Sitting outside kid's baby sitter's house so any help appreciated! Have not had any prior issue with switch, behaves as brand new. Even the headlights don't work, but batteries are juiced. Under hood light works great, hitting hazards sounds like a cheap fart machine by emergency brake pedal. No brake lights. Changed out 50 amp Battery fuse, no help.

Hi all,I was pulling my 6x12 enclosed trailer around this weekend with two 4 wheelers was doing great, even the sometimes dead pedal went away on the trip home, 150 miles. On my last brake to my road my two warning lights came on. The truck still stops but pedal travel seems to be a little more.I was going to check the fluid first & then see how much brake pad I have left. Anything else? Dave

I was getting the abs module open relay code, so I sent the ABS module out to circiutboardmedics to have it "rebuilt"(not 100% sure what this service entailed)Anyways, before I sent the module out, I had a constantly lit brake light, as well as a working speedo.I received the module today, and thinking everything was honkeydorey, plugged it in, all was well for about 1 minute, then the gauges temporarily died, I got the check engine light and brake light(p0500, p1693 and p1694 codes when pulled with the 3xkey trick)The rest of the gauges came immediatly back, except for the speedo. The driver side wheelhub was just replaced with a new skf unit and sensor. The p/s hub and s…

I had a misfortune get me today. I was asked by the fire chief to help him with fire trucks and to meet him at Station #3 at 11:30am. I did just that. I showed up at the fire station backed into my usual spot. Sitting there I decided to get some stuff out of the back of the truck and when I opened my drivers door the wind caught pulled so hard I couldn't hang on. Blam! It slung the door so hard the the forward lip of the door made contact with the hinges and tweaked the upper hinge. Now the top of the door is out another 1/4". I'm hoping I can adjust the door again for now and be close. I'll get photos in the morning in the daylight.

I am looking for the best sport headlight available. I can't afford the RetroFitShop Mini or D2S setup at this time. What are the best sport replacement unit available? TYC, PERDE, Something else from Headlightdepot.com? I will most likely be doing the relay/harness setup found somewhere here to update the wiring. I am looking for the best fit after the best pattern available that is non Morimoto retrofit. What is your experience so far with the best replacements? I currently have the standard 2 bulb setup that doesn't produce much light due to age of the original housings.

Hello Everyone, The factory battery hold-downs had become dilapidated, so in lieu so spending $60/side my friend & I modded/cleaned up the factor set. The steps/repairs we performed are listed below along with the attached photos of the before/after. Total time invested was about two hours and all of the parts/equipment we already had in the shop. I know the paint job will get some comments, so to head those off – we ran out of black so to avoid surface rusting we used brown. Once the weather warms or I build a small paint cure box, I plan to wire wheel to repaint black. Hold Down Bolt Repair/Mods – Stock had rounded bolt heads Cleaned up/ground a…

Shortly after purchasing my truck last November, I filled it up to get an understanding of how accurate the fuel gauge was. I found out it was somewhat conservative (~ 8 gal left when the light comes on @ the 1/8th tank level), and also found that the tank leaked fuel when full. Last Friday it had finally gotten warm enough & the tornadoes have subsided enough for me to drop the tank to find & fix the problem. The source of the problem was at the top of the fuel tank module. The lid of the module holds four components; the level sender electrical connector, the fuel suction/return lines, the roll-over valve, and an unused capped-off extra fuel line. Each one of th…

I was under the truck a while back and saw the drivers side U bolts had rusted badly in the threaded section that goes through the axle plate. The truck has not been driven in winter since '06. I have been tossing around the idea of traction bars and this seemed like a good opportunity since the set I wanted came with new u bolts.

I polished the stock headlight lenses when i first got the truck. That helped some but the headlights still sucked. I added some led cube fog lights from Amazon and aimed them low and angled out. This really helped with night driving by lighting up the side of the road. I made sure they wouldn't blind oncoming traffic and haven't had anyone flash me. Last week i got some Hella 100/80 watt bulbs and wired up relays. This completely changed visibility at night. Before i NEEDED the leds at night. Now i can barely tell if they are on or off. Haven't had anyone flash me yet but only driven it 10 times going to work. Before anyone tells me how much better the Morimoto upgrade i…

Is there anything that’ll clean up UV dye? I’ve sprayed engine degreaser, citrus degreaser, and brake cleaner under my hood. But the UV dye seems resilient.

My dash is cracked (nothing new I know) AND I was going to replace with the one Geno sells BUT, Genos has them on back order AND I need to replace my heater core before the weather turns cold. Genos Link: http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo.asp?number=DRD8-1 Geno is keeping the manufacturer a secret. wholesalemopar.com wants ~ $500 delivered. What other sources are there for a dash, not a dash cap?

NFab used to sell a bumper mounted 4 unit light bar for 2001. They no longer show it in their catalog. That was the only source I am aware of. Any ideas for mounting 4 Hella lights up front? 2 driving and 2 fog lights. Thought maybe there'd be some ideas here. I probably could just bumper mount them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. I think I'm gonna do a DRW axle swap, add flares, and dually wheels (along with whatever else needs to take place) and convert mine to a dually.. My first question is: Are there rear springpack differences between the 2500 and 3500? I was looking at my buddy's 95 3500, and the rear packs look identical..

Scrolling through craigslist and came across this gem. I can feel the ocd part of my brain scratching the back of my eyeballs. I'd like to buy it just so I can relocate that axle. https://boise.craigslist.org/cto/d/1995-dodge-ramx4-quad-cab/6499453663.html

Had a couple frosty mornings out here the past 2 days and noticed the wipers started real slow. Today I leave in a drizzle and no wipers at all. So I figure the wiper motor is shot. Have open it up and make sure the linkage is not bound up and if not it is new wiper motor time. Anything else I should look at that anyone knows?
