Issue: The rear brakes on my 96' Ram 2500 4x4 will lock up when coming to a fairly hard stop and overall braking performance is poor. Details: The brake pedal will slowly sink to the floor when held down. I replaced the master cylinder last year and everything was working fine up until the rear brakes started locking up. Once they started locking up I noticed the pedal would slowly sink when held down. There are no leaks anywhere and the reservoir stays full. The rear brakes are properly adjusted, the shoes are not worn or contaminated with oil (no seal leaks), and the drums are smooth with minimal wear. The front brake pads and rotors are…

So a couple months ago I get in the truck and no start. Only relay clicking. So, using forums to trouble shoot my problems, I ordered Larry b’s over oversized contacts. A few weeks of working lots of overtime and rainy weekends went by and finally got decent weather to take on the job. Installed the parts and what do u know, still no start. I’ve swapped fuses and relays so that’s no the problem. Is it possible that the neutral safety switch has gone bad? All of the threads I’ve read, people say they have reverse light problems with the switch. Is this a hit or miss with the reverse lights giving it away or could I have a problem elsewhere? I’m tired of having to raise my …

Hi I found a 2002 dodge ram 2500 4x4 with a 5.9 gas engine. I was wondering if it had the same suspension, steering, and brakes, etc. as the diesel.

Over a year I bought a new set of component speakers and finally tried to install them. The tweeter doesn't fit in the stock a-pillar location, and since I can't return them I decided to mount as shown in the photo. Should've just bought the normal speakers! Live and learn...

In my 99 Laramie SLT overhead console everything works, except for the trip meter. I ran the self test on it, and it said "PASSED". My friend's 02 Laramie SLT does the same exact thing. We don't get any errors on the display either. Anybody know why this is happening? It's not a big deal as the dash has its trip meter, but it's just an annoyance that it doesn't work.

Been searching all morning and can not find a reputable company to buy from. I'd like a complete cluster overlay prolly white cause that seems the most common and easy to read. Anyone have these or know where to buy from?

Truck question/issue: As most of you know, I have a 99 Ram, 2500, 2x4, Cummins, Auto. it is up @ 230,000 miles now so Ive replaced just about every consumable on it a couple of times now. I have noticed the last year or so, it bounces down the freeway now. the faster I go the worse it gets. it only happens on Concrete (not on blacktop) & not all concrete, just some. This really seems like this is a shock problem. However I have replaced the shocks (that were not that old) with new ones & the problem is still there. I used to have Bilsteins on there & the previous 2 sets were also Bilsteins. being as its a 2x4 I dont have a lot o…

I am completely disgusted with the interior in my 96’ Ram 2500 as everything is just falling apart. I still don’t have a top dash, the kick panel under the steering column broke and fell off, the bezel that goes around the steering column cracked and fell off, the glove box door hinges broke, the overhead pushbutton lights broke, the hand holds on the door panels are cracked, and the HVAC control unit is cracked. Did I manage to get the truck with the single worst interior on the planet? I’m about ready to gut this garbage out and start from scratch.

Has anyone heard anything good, bad, or indifferent about these stereos from Jensen Heavy Duty? https://www.crutchfield.com/p_522JHD36A/Jensen-Heavy-Duty-JHD36A.html?cc=07 I drive around the midwest a lot, especially on Friday and Sunday evenings. Since I don't care about every little town's high school football or basketball team - and I don't speak Spanish - having lots of options for tuning is important to me, especially a CD player! Not sure how much I'll use the Weather Band, but I also ordered the XM Radio gizmo since I have a subscription that's good another 9 months or so. I ordered the scratch and dent model, so if you know something bad, ple…

For some reason when i use my blinkers if i leave them on at a stop light they will blink like they are supposed to then they will stick or stay on and stop blinking. I thought maybe a bad bull so i replaced them all and still having the same issue. My dad mentioned possibly the blinker switch on the steering column but i didn't want to tear into incase anybody else has had a similar issue with an easy fix.

I apologize if this has been answered before, but I couldn’t find it, and I have to make a quick descision. I have an opportunity to buy a set of 17” wheels from a 2003. They have 315-70-17 BFG KO2’s on them. I am stock ride height. Any issues with rubbing or handling? I know they will be heavier, and will mess with final drive ratio. As far as fit, is there anything I am missing? Not sure if there were offset differences.

So I'm dealing with a new issue. The truck is having some hesitation starting..and for some reason the alternator isn't kicking in for about a minute. Sometimes the voltage will drop off even after the alt has kicked in. I did the w-t mod..but I haven't put a new line from the pdc to the passenger side battery..I know this isn't supposed to be necessary, but could it affect anything like what I'm describing? This issue didn't pop up after the mod..It's been about a month. The only other thing that I can think of..is my gf used my truck to jump her car a couple times in the morning..I've never jumped anything before, and I wasn't present when she …

I'm tired of the aftermarket fog lights in my truck, they work as well as my oxidized oem fogs. I finally pulled the old ones off the shelf and sanded off the old clear coat and polished them up real good. I wasn't sure if I should put some more clear coat on them or run them as-is.

Hello! I have purchased the normal chrome and black Cummins C grill emblem stick in before. Whenever I purchased it I figured I wouldn’t ever replace it again so I didn’t get the metal, bolt on emblem. Does anyone have a link to where I can purchase the bolt on style Cummins grill badge? I am really looking for a reusable badge now since I wasted my money once already.

I don't know much of the speaker world but I do want to replace the two front speakers as one sounds awful. What do I need to know to replace these? I have an aftermarket Kenwood receiver, I'm not looking to share my music with the world, I just want something that sounds clear in the cab. Am I going to have to cut holes in the door panel or are there options to get something similar to the OEM speakers?

So, as I feared, the truck is still struggling to maintain highway speeds with erratic engine load. Watch the video on 1080p..you can probably hear the truck revving and dropping, but even if not, you can watch the engine load on my obdii cell phone in the top left gauge (shout out to moparman for sending me his obdii gauge file a year ago) and you can see the needle all over the place trying to maintain speed. 0-52, 25-50, etc etc..it's revving hard, dropping, revving, dropping. She as it used to. One curious thing I noticed while doing all that electrical stuff..is there seems to be a random wire, probably #18, going from a body mount in th…
