Hello guys I'm not sure if this has been discussed on this forum before or not. I am considering a steering upgrade for my 2000 Ram 2500. This thread is too help anyone out if they ever want to try this to. Id like to know if anyone else here has done this specific kit ill mention? The kit is from a 4th gen truck and was made specificly for upgrading third gens steering. SOmeone on Cummins Forum bought this kit for a second gen and found out that it was a awesome bolt on upgrade for second gen trucks to! Now I read that trucks with stock 16 inch wheels the stud on the end of the tie rods will hit the wheel so you have to grind off an eighth of an inch or so. I don't belie…

Got in the the truck this morning, stuck the key in and off she went. Stopped and bought coffe got in and the key went in about 2/3rds of the way and got stiff. I had play with it and push in to get it to turn. Figured as many starts as she has on her it is time for a new switch. I also noticed that the turn signals can now be turned on with the out of the key in the switch. So I am thinking whatever electrical switch it operates must be showing it's wear also. Anything else in there that y'all know about that might ought to replace whilst I am in there? Or maybe I am barking up the wrong tree?

I just bought a 2002 dodge 2500 cummins quad cab. The fuel gauge was not working. It was stuck below E with fuel light on. Took it to local shop and they said need new sender. Looked on here and found the correct part number. Thank you. Shop installed and gauge still not working. Shop tested wires and said they are sending signal all the way to the PCM. After that they don't know. I looked on here how to test cluster with the trip button. The gauge moved as it should. I brought truck home and need to know where to look next. Thank you.

I installed Led headlights and fog lights the other day along with new housings for both... what a difference the new housings made in the appearance of the truck! My wife said it looks like a brand new truck. When the headlights are on, everything functions as normal. When I pull the switch to engage fog lights, my high beam indicator appears and is very faint. If I hit the high beams the indicator light appears like normal. Any ideas as to whats causing this? Thanks!

What are those two wires/ cables going down to the front of skid plate for? Under the trans they are attached to the skid plate. I came down my road with my clock and radio station display not showing. So I noticed ice build up on top of the skid plate with two wires also surrounded in ice. After carefully removing the packed snow, I turned on the ignition and the clock /station display sort of fisseled back into action. Anyone know what else they go to? Not a very good location for grounds if that's what they are. T.I.A.

Seeking reviews on the Isspro EVA mechanical gauges. Going to be receiving a tax refund this year so hopefully I can get me a set. I havnt noticed this line of gauges anywhere but DAP and theyre 3 times cheaper than the ev2s are they still good quality? Obviously the price difference is problably mechanical vs electric.

I am going to try and get a thread going showing all the components on the truck that aren't part of the engine (since I know we have many diagrams throughout the site showing that). I will start with steering and add stuff as I think of it. Here are all the Steering and Suspension components. This is on a 1997 2500 2wd, I will get pics up of 4wd steering components when I get some. Thanks for the help AH64ID! I just got 4wd pics now but I guess there is a 10 pic limit so scroll down to my next post for them.

I have a 96 Ram with an auto tranny. Over time the gear selector has gotten harder and harder to move, I'm assuming it needs to be lubed. If it needs to be lube where are the usual places. I have put some graphic on the plastic pieces in the dash, but that didn't help too much. And what is the best lube to use? Thanks, Bob

One of my rear speakers quit working. Before I condemn it I would like to make sure it is not something else. I put my meter across the 2 wires and got about .5V. Part of me thinks it should be 12V and part thinks speaker voltage is variable and increases with volume. Which part of me is right? Or am I all wrong?

So, now that I know the module is for the ABS on the truck...I'd really like to hear your thoughts on how well it works before I go through the exercise of finding a way to hook it back up or look for an alternate solution? I remember it was not all that great on my '93 Pontiac compared to more modern versions.

I'm tearing down the '94 for my street rod project and don't want to throw something away that I need. Now I've never taken a modern vehicle down before and my repairs on them have been 95% plain old maintenance, but what are these items? thanks!

I have purchased the high idle switch and it is due to deliver today. I have also rented a Smarty from DAP to activate the 3 cylinder high idle mode. Just looking for a few pointers on the install. I have read the install article: High Idle Install I know to unhook my batteries prior to install and take my time to ensure I don't bump any other wires that might cause issues down the road. The switch install seems pretty straight forward. My main questions are with the Smarty. What is the process for enabling high idle? Plug in Smarty. Does key need to be on? After plugging in the Smarty I'm lost. Thanks in advance for helping o…
