Has anyone built an on board air compressor type of a deal on their trucks? Im looking for ideas... One of the guys @ work has a bagged Toyota & he suggested some of those compressors. It looks like that might be an option..... It seems to me that there might be a belt driven option for the Cummins motor for other uses....... I could not find anything that might be a good solution. Anyone have recommendations on a new gearbox? I’m sick of 3 inches of steering wheel slop lol. Napa has a reman box for 179$ plus core but not sure if a reman is ok?

I 'thought' I had started a thread on Cab Lights before, but the search turned up nada.. At any rate, I installed clear lens/amber LED cab lights this past weekend. My truck did not have them from the factory, so I bought some EuroLite 9-LED ones for a Ford, from eBay for $70 delivered. I liked the Ford-style ones better, so that's what I went with. They arrived in a box, no instructions, no packaging, only an invoice, lights, and packing peanuts... Since my truck didn't have cab lights, I had to drill.. In a nutshell: [*]Drop headliner (phillips screws hold visors, pinch clips for overhead console, T20 for pass. side grab-handle, T20 for…

I like having my exhaust backpressure gauge, but right now its just a loose gauge by my gear shifter. My cheap-o glowshift pyrometer gauge crapped out (I still have the Edge pyrometer which is the one I monitor) so I'm thinking of replacing the pyrometer gauge in my A-pillar pod with an exhaust back pressure gauge to clean things up and make it easier to see. From what I can tell, the only difference between a mechanical air pressure, boost, or exhaust pressure gauge from Autometer ore Isspro is the letters on the face of the gauge and the exhaust back pressure gauge comes with a length of copper tubing (which I don't need because I have a stainless part that came with …

Finally, I'll be looking into replacing the power steering pump. Not that it quit pumping. The reservoir is leaking. The seal between the pump body and reservoir can is weeping fluid out and leaving signs of power steering fluid on the floor after a night.

So I got the retrofit led headlights from the hid factory with the morimoto led. I put them in and nothing worked they said move the pins around in the 3 prong plug that plugs into the stock headlight plug in so I did and I got the low beams to work now and the high beams with no problems. But now I cant get the lights to shut off with the switch any ideas on what to try now. The only way I can get the lights to shut off is pull the fuse from the fuse box under the hood but they still flicker very faintly. The hid factory said that I'm on my own and they have never heard of the problem. Thanks

I am in the market for a track bar as the title would imply. However im looking into this dodge offroad place. http://store.dodgeoffroad.com/ he's got a ton of options and customization for lift kits etc. I like his design. He's claiming a 100% success rate or i think he actually says he's got a 0% failure rate. My truck is lifted and i definitely use my truck but i try to take care of it. I hate cheaping out on certain things that I know are notorious for problems. Im just seeing if I cant gather a couple opinions.

Hi, I am new to the forums and I’m sure there might actually be a post on here for what I’m looking for and maybe there isn’t. Anyways I have a 99 2500 with the 24v with regular powered leather seats. I have done research as far as what year dodge started with the optional power heated seats and what years have the electrically locked seatbelt restraint and etc. I have purchased donor seats out of a truck that was the top of the line in 00 which included obviously power heated seats, heated mirrors and even steering wheel controls for the radio. I also purchased the wiring that includes the complete dash harness including the heater switches for the seats, body control mo…

Hello. I'm going to replace tierod and draglink and I'm confused about Moog part numbers. I think I have T-style steering in my 98 4x4 and don't want to order wrong parts because returning parts from Finland takes time and costs big money. Thank you.

I know this is going to sound weird but..... There is water leaking out between the panels where they are welded together. It is dripping out right there where those 4 pieces of metal are laying on each other. This is directly under the passenger seat. Where the heck is the water coming from??? The only thing that makes sense is the AC but not really..... It does not have any coolant in it.... I didn't wash the truck, it had not rained, etc etc.... Stumped in San Diego.

This might not be exiting to all but for the past 4+ years a comination of silicone caulk and duct have done one hell of a job holding my dash bezel together and on the dash. Just could never justify the $195 price tag due other things being maintained. I got nice bonus check for job in Maryland and pulled the trigger. My view will be forever changed. Merry belated Christmas Chicken Man.

In search of new bulbs and headlight assemblies. What are the best combo packs for those dark nights? And winter nights.. LED'S or HID's? Preferably something that isn't going to cost a fortune. Amazon works the best. Drop web links, please.

Hi All, New to me Truck. I was removing the Edge Transmission Temp sensor Wire when crawling out I noticed that the top bolt in the 4 link #4 in Illustration was backed out, right hand side. Aside from screwing back in with Locktitie is there a way to unload the link so I don't Screw it up? I assume (That word.) that Jack it up and support the frame and then just unscrew locktite it and back in she goes?

Well, gang, I've been getting a rear end clank for some time typically as a released the clutch. Then the last trip to Ontario, OR I detected small vibration. I figured its just got to be a U-joint. While I was in Ontario, OR I picked up two U joints since not too long ago I did the post about changing the rearmost u-joint without dropping the driveshaft. Now after replacing the middle and forward u-joint I did find that both u-joints were in a serviceable condition somewhat. I did find the middle u-joint had roller bearing wear marks in the trunion and created just enough slack that I could detect the vibration. Sad but true I still had the clank. Now after checking agai…
