It was a direct bolt in like advertised for a stock truck with a direct mount exhaust brake. I did need to clock both housings and move the exhaust pipe back 3/4". I did a quick 1/2 mile shake down run to check for boost/exhaust leaks, all is well. The boost is preset at 26 psi, it was exact. What should I set it at, for 400hp? It dynos 400hp with RV injectors and the Edge Juice. They advertise 450 hp @ 40 psi. I will get a rebuild kit for the oem HX35W (340k miles) and save it for my '91. It has the stock HIC with a #16 turbine housing. It also has the direct mount exhaust brake.

Ok guys could use some input. My truck is y2k 24v auto with a fass 95 lift pump and an reman vp44. If I parked it up hill it has to be reprimed in the morning . (Starter bump type) I put in a check valve on the discharge side of the lift pump by the tank which solved the priming/drain back issue, but I don't know why the fuel was draining back. I have no leaks and no smell and run 14-16 psi on the fp gauge. When the truck is at lower rpms under load light or heavy I can feel a little bit of surging like a miss. All of the return lines seals have been replaced already . If there's is a leak how can I find it and could it be in the injector pump check valve. Thanks for t…

So I installed the quad today and it wasn't that bad at all. Using the stock tune I turned it up to lvl10 and went for a test drive. The first ten minutes were a BLAST! Extremely smooth. When the wiretap kicks in it definitely threw me back in the seat. Smoke and egts were much better than with the edge ez I removed. On the way home I romped on it one more time and blew an intercooler boot at 45psi. Oh well, it was fun. On a different note, we came back from camping today and had a hell of a trip. Was pulling out 37' fifth wheel with the wife's 4th gen. About an hour and a half from home I had to …

Where is the data link connector to hook up my edge comp? I've spent a lot of time looking but no find. Is it a loose connector or is it connected to something and I have to disconnect it? I did find a loose 4 pin connector but it does not match what the comp came with.

I'm thinking of installing the Isspro R17033 RV2 fuel pressure gauge (electric) and the bullet mount. I know they offer a mechanical gauge and perhaps its more accurate, but I like the idea of an easy install and no chance of fuel coming in the cab. I'm also looking at the Vulcan big line filter to vp44 kit. I have read Mopar1973Man's article for this install and look to do just the same, however I have few questions for those already having done this mod before: Is there a need for 1/2" over 3/8" big line kit? Depending on the condition of the stock in-tank pump, an Air Dog or Fass would be in the future with its big line kit. Is there a need …

I am having one of my boot on the intake horns side come loose. I have tightened it and it still backing off. I boost maybe 38psi. Does anyone have experience with https://www.siliconeintakes.com/? I am wondering if there is a smple fix, or if I should just get a new set of boots? The truck is 15yrs old and has 240k miles.

Just when I think I've come up with a logical solution to what's not really a problem, I see that Robert Bosch's company has beat me to it. http://www.dieselmechanic.info/common-rail/bosch-common-rail-system-intercooler-bypass.html However, I think mine would be operated by a choke cable, and maybe later an additional IAT sensor and a stepper motor.

Alright so we all saw the youtube by now with the 2 gauges. Well that was a spearco intercooler... I was looking at a thread on CF and noticed a guy from diesel power mag said after stock boost numbers, the stock intercooler would start to fall on its face. Meaning anything over ~20psi. When they did their test they registered a 73F difference over ambient. They then swapped in a BD fancy intercooler and it maintained 10F over ambient max. This apparently made a 250F EGT difference. Now this was on a 1998 12 valve and one guy told me the VP44 trucks have intercoolers that flow 8% better, though I'm not sure. Still, testing needs to be done. Mike sees a good bit h…

Hi all. I am new to this group. Thanks in advance for any help. The truck is an 2001 Ram 3500 6 speed manual 5.9L 24 valve cummins, totally stock except for a Fass lift pump. The power is down about 60% sometimes. It feels like a half dead pedal. The power is fine or down 60%, never in between. The problem started occurring once a week, then 3 times a week, then twice a day, then most of the time. Now it is down on power almost all the time. This was over about a six month period. I can, sometimes, achieve full power if I rev the engine past 2500 RPM. No difference hot or cold. No exhaust smoke. No codes stored, using the key on three times technique to check. 14PSI at th…

I know it helps save the VP44 pumps but what about a P7100? I think it would be beneficial but I would like to here from those with more experience on the matter. If it is a good idea, what ratio of oil to fuel should I use? Just for clarification there is nothing wrong with my pump, I'm simply looking at preventive maintenance practices.

Finally got that damn thing from sucking down my main batteries. I had a good deep cycle laying around so I threw it in (yeah so I have 5 batteries now ) and took the grid heater positive wire and wired it directly to the deep cycle. I put a relay in and hooked it up so that when it is normally closed (not energized) it closes the path of the positive from the main batteries to a wire for the deep cycle positive, that way it will charge any time the grid heater is not on. When the grid heater turns on, it also energizes the relay and opens the charging path so that the battery is connected to the grids and nothing else. After the grids turn off, the relay turns off an…

First off before I start I have to say "Thank you" to Aden at GOS Performance for sending me the R82003 Programming cable for ISSPro EV2 gauges. So now I know I got to create a write up for this but... Wow! This is way cool. All ISSPro EV2 gauges have a red warning light in the bottom. The light is programmable to any setting you wish. So like for example I'll do the pyrometer gauge. We all tend to use 1,200 for a breaking point. So on the software you simply set the pyrometer to set the light if above 1200. Hit you program button and takes about 3-5 seconds to flash the gauge. Now after programming my limits the light react normally now. So like at key on (n…

I have an Isspro 0-40psi gauge that works perfect. Only removed because it didn't match my other gauges. Used for about 10 months. If you need it give me a fair offer.
