  1. The latest edition of Diesel Power Mag has an article on methonal/water injection. It focuses on improving emissions but also implies power improvements, lower egt's and better fuel economy. But as with other technical articles they give very little to no actual quantifiable data. Sometimes some graphs and pictures but it would be difficult for you to justify the install based on what info they provide. I am not looking for power increases or lower egt's as I am happy with my truck for how I use it, but I would like to pick up some additional economy improvement. "Snow Performance" advertises 6-12% better fuel economy on their "Tow-Max". There are 3 or 4 major manufact…

    Hey guys, just wondering, is Timbo one of those mods worth doing even if my current APPS isn't acting up? I definitely planned on going the Timbo route once my APPS finally crapped out on me, but just wondering if I'd even notice a difference switching to it now? I'm usually not a big fan of swapping out parts just to do it, but if it'll give a noticeable difference in drivability or something, I'm more then willing to do it.

    I just installed a new high idle switch and it reads the intake air temp fine but shows 188 on quad all time and cluster temp stays cold! The lights work when u switch it over to high idle but doesn't do anything there either. I emailed the support but its been like two weeks and no response!

    I bought the quadzilla adrenaline v-2 hooked everything up drive the truck once worked awesome! Played with a tune out it on the truck, now truck will go up to about 3,000rpm the fall on its face tried setting it back to default still the same! Checked all my connections everything is good any ideas?

    Would I have any luck painting the back half of my turbo and the turn down elbow on the back of the turbo to the exhaust pipe. Mine is pretty rusty. Does the temperature of these items typically exceed the ability of high temperature paint?

  6. Just as the title suggests. What tools do you keep in your truck 24/7? My list is ever changing but right now I have: Tarp Ratchet straps Stretch Net Vice Grip Claw Hammer Pry bar Belt tensioner tool (and belt) Small ratchet kit Adjustable wrench Channel lock pliers Screwdrivers Zip ties Tow strap Bottle jack I can't even begin to tell you how many times I have used all of these tools for everything conceivable and some things I never imagined. What do you keep in your truck?

    While I was at schied this weekend I happen to be watching the dynos and low and behold I 1020 ish hp vp truck single turbo that drove there was on the rollers and don't ask I only got 5 second to talk to the owner if it was a vp and dailed and it is and is driven so ya no idea what he has done to that thing but it's all fuel no funny gas no idea on what's exactly done tho but it didn't lope like the big vp pumps I've seen so damn I wish I could have talked to him more

    So I seen the dyno tune that’s used for tm in the down loads but with having a 5speed and having to start in in the 1:1 ratio. what Would i need to change on it to have max hp and torque. I just installed 100hp injectors last night and will be getting on the dyno this after noon or tomorrow just depends on when they get it calibrated for my torque they said. any help would be appreciated.

    Owners Manual for 2010 3500 6.7 states "Don't use Diesel Fuel with more than 5% Bio. Wal-Mart is selling diesel fuel (sticker on the pump) saying it may contain 5% to 20% Bio. Is it OK to use the Wal-Mart diesel in 2010 6.7? The reason I used this section of the forum, the 6.7 section doesn't seem to get much response. Mohok

    Need some suggestions on what to do next to my truck. It’s just a fun daily driver nothing too crazy. Everything done to it is in my signature. The next things im doing are arp headstuds, new rims and tires ( 20” fuel cleavers with 305/50r20 nitto 420’s), electric fans and ac compressor delete. What else should I do ie springs, pushrods, water meth kit? I know nothing about what size springs would work for my set up so lay it on me! Thanks

I got 400 miles on my rear end after putting the truetrac in it and I seem to like the gear style lsd the word that comes to mind is smooth I had to go up a small 30 degree incline today to take parts to a shed in wed grass and it did what it was supposed to locked stayed locked went at a crawl in 2 wd ect on the road it's like it's not there I'm impressed so my rear has the eaton/Detroit truetrac revolution gears timkin bearings heat guned it today after 1hour of 65 125 degrees hmm

    I carry a slide in camper for a long time. How can two New E rated Michelins on the rear cause this almost constant yaw motion..... oversteer condition? Never ever happened before. The tire dealer did show me one rim bent about 1/8th of an inch on the spin balance. Would that be it? Front end is tight as a rock, but its squirrely to drive. Tires are the most expensive Michelins you can buy same as on front. TIA

    1injection pump, tranny rebuild at 280k Rest had just been maintenance. For 15 years she stayed with me. Through 3 relationships I couldn't repair. Lol Heres to another 300k. At 300725 now. Cant post a picture but snagged one of the odometer at 300000

    I sprung a good leak in the hydro boost recently and going to do rebuild next week. Figured to redo the the brake and clutch pedal while I am at it since the clutch pedal is starting to squeak some. Anyone know where I can buy them?

  19. I have some surface rust in different areas of my 2001 3500. I have tried to address some of it once and failed, the rust came back in a month or so. I used a wire wheel to remove any loose light rust, had pretty clean metal when finished, sprayed 2 coats of "rust converter" to stop any that wasn't removed. Then sprayed 2 coats of primer over that. The rust came back. I am not a body man but did this happen because I did not apply paint to seal the repair? I thought the primer would do that but I guess I was wrong. One day I would like to repaint the truck but for now I just want to do some touch up and fix any thing I can to keep her looking decent.     Hi all. I am new to this group. Thanks in advance for any help. The truck is an 2001 Ram 3500 6 speed manual 5.9L 24 valve cummins, totally stock except for a Fass lift pump. The power is down about 60% sometimes. It feels like a half dead pedal.The power is fine or down 60%, never in between. The problem started occurring once a week, then 3 times a week, then twice a day, then most of the time. Now it is down on power almost all the time. This was over about a six month period.
