While driving home this evening and getting off the highway my fan clutch came on. Stayed on the last 30 miles. Got home and opened the hood and it does not free spin at all. Everything looks fine, and the fan has no wobble like the bearings are shot, but it is definitely locked. No free spin what so ever. Just curious if any one has had this happen and did you drive it for a bit before fixing. it? I have two days left this week a have to get one way or another. My thought is it should be fine if all is still tight. At least for a couple days. What ya'll think?

  2. I just bought the Quadzilla tuner with a new fuel sensor from DAP. I noticed that there's a brass valve that came with the fuel sensor, but I haven't looked at it enough to know what it's for yet. I've only ever installed and used the Edge Juice with Attitude on my Cummins pickups, so this is a totally new and foreign tuner to me. I'll be removing my older (most likely first generation - silver display and smaller screen) Edge Juice w/Attitude tuner that is currently on my pickup when I bought it last December and installing the Quadzilla. I plan to hopefully install it with the module in the cab if possible to minimize any Bluetooth issues with my…

So I've been searching the forums and ran into a few topics about some aftermarket injectors will not only give more hp/tq but also increase fuel mileage. One of these injectors are the rv275s. I see they are good for about +40hp/80tq over stock injectors and somehow get better fuel mileage? Are there any other injectors that do the same and how does an injector which can supply more fuel give better MPGs? I am a little lost on the theory of this. If the engine requires "X" amount of fuel at the rpm and load..how does a different injector give better fuel mileage when it is producing the same "X"?? Is it the spray pattern? School me please

I'm stuck on a topic that I see a lot on 2nd gens, especially moving up in horsepower. Beef up the transmission, upgrade the tranny, etc. What is the most practical option to do this? I'm looking to get to the 500hp range. Suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Hey guys. I’m trying to get high idle going in my 2000 5.9. I have the moparman switch but I have to get it enabled. I took it to the dealership to get it done and $180 later it didn’t work. I’m from Canada so I can’t rent an s03 from dap. Any of you guys in Canada have an s03 you’re willing to rent to me or even you guys in the US? Or have a software number I can tell the dealer to install ? Thanks in advance, I’m in quite the Perdicament here

Hi everyone I am new to this forum. I have a 99 dodge 3500 that I have owned since new. I am recently having higher egts, lower fuel mileage and lower boost. My truck has an edge comp box that I run on 3, pusher intake, pac brake, HX35/40 Hybrid turbo from PDR, RV275 injectors, stock lift pump mounted on the frame with 3/8" fuel line and no banjo bolts. 12psi at idle, about 9 at wot. AFE cold air intake and 4" exhaust. So recently I put a new IAT sensor in because my fuel mileage dropped to 9-10 coming back from South Dakota with 10000 pounds where I used to get 15. It raised it to 12 but my boost is still low at about 21-22 psi and my egts go to 1200 real easy. I use thi…

I've been toying with the idea of getting an FTE resonator for awhile... Watched this YouTube video and now I'm rethinking that decision. What say you guys? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8awazQJddk

Anyone know what type of steel is used on diesel fuel injector tips? Has to be pretty good steel to help stop premature wear. To also fight against dirty fuel wearing out the tip. Another question too is how do they adjust them to get a balanced flow match?

  10. I was just wondering about motor oil. I am getting ready to change mine before a big trip and was thinking about switching to synthetic. The ONLY reason I would do the switch at the moment is for cold flow properties. At the moment, I am running Delo 400 and when it is -20 to -30 in the mornings before work, it takes a good 5 minutes or more of idling to get up to 40 psi. That cant be good!! What does everyone think? Will the synthetic really flow that much better at those temps? I have never run synthetic before.

I’m looking for a list of items to keep in my truck on long trips and trips into remote backcountry. I can think of a few things off my head but like a detailed list of things that can keep my truck on the road if necessary.

A little history...('01 HO) I ran an Edge EZ and RV 275 injectors for 12 years, no issues. Then 5 years ago I installed the Edge Juice with the same original RV injectors, now I have EGT's and coolant temp issues. It dyno's 400/900, I don't want to loose that. Please don't recommend Quad, I can just barely use my cell phone. The RV injectors are 17 years old and have 315k miles on them. I am now getting a hard overnight start with 1/2 tank of fuel, no problem with above that. So I am due for new ones and connector tubes. Here is my question: If I go back to stock injectors and use the juice on a higher setting, will I keep my power and drop EGT/coolant temps? …

Topped it off today and I thought it would only be 10mpg based on how I was driving. There were several long steep hills lasting maybe 1/2-3/4 of a mile and I would hold it at 65-70. I went that fast the entire way there and back. The A/C was also on full blast for the duration of the trip. That should have yielded me about 21-22mpg unloaded. This tank was with the trailer on it the whole time, did a lot of miles around jefferson city to go shopping (sisters bday). Ended up being right at 500.6 miles at the gas station and 29.013 gallons means 17.25 mpg. Sooo I'm very amazed. The trailer only weighs about 4000 but the billboard effect really loads it down. …

Just went from Pacifica ca to Chillicothe mo and averaged 12.5 hand calculated ... He351cw turbo held well and power on demand with juice hot. Will be doing studs , 62 ii turbo and a 15 gallon methanol tank in back soon. ... Maybe a cam10000 pounds loaded .... 5th wheel ... Only had to downshift due to egt most of time ... ;)

So I have an issue and I'm hoping it's not my injection pump. I've check all my fuel lines for leaks and everything is working as it should, no air all the way from the tank to the return line off the side of the vp44. Truck will not crank. Went to bleed lines 1 through 5 at the head and only getting fuel to lines 1 and 4.

  20. I plan to drop the pan on my transmission in the next few weeks for filter change and band adjustment. Are there any upgrades that I should install while in there? No $600 valve bodies! I have planned on adding the Sonnax valve to the valve body that allows flow to the converter while in Park. Stock truck.
